나는 호텔을 좋아했다. 방의 모든 것이 괜찮습니다. TV 리모콘이 없다는 점만 빼면요. 하지만 요청하면 줍니다. 냉장고는 찌른 듯 김이 나고, 밤새 물이 얼었다.)) 호텔을 나오면 바로 왼쪽이 스핑크스의 골목이다. 천주교 교차로를 지나 다시 좌회전하여 10분 정도 걸으면 룩소르 신전이 나옵니다. 이번에는 말이 끄는 수레 주차장으로 이동합니다))) Karnak 사원까지 차로 10 분 오른쪽으로 이동하지만 자동차로 여전히 Luxor 사원을 통과하게되므로 스핑크스를 돌아 다니는 것이 더 편리합니다. 호텔에서 바로 100걸음 정도 가면 교차로에서 상점, 현지 카페, 레스토랑이 시작됩니다. 밤 12시에도 많은 사람들이 여전히 일하고 있으므로 물과 간식을 구입할 수 있습니다. 맥주보다 더 강한 것을 원한다면 12시까지 골목 중 한 곳에 와인과 보드카도 판매됩니다. 말과 스핑크스를 따라 룩소르 신전 방향 거리에 적어도 두 개의 교환기가 있습니다. 사진을 모두 첨부했습니다. 그런데 시내가 보인다고 겁먹지 마세요. 여기에서 두 번째 밤에 나는 어두운 골목을 걸었고 결코 멈추지 않았습니다.)) 일반적으로 세부 사항을 고려하면 안전감이 있습니다)))

This is really a hidden gem in Luxor! It’s on the quiet west bank and near to Valley of king, queen, nobles, artists! The Arabic style room, building and garden meet all my imagination about Tales from 1001 nights! The owner is such a kind lady. She will arrange cars and tours at very reasonable price! They also have the best food and coffee in Luxor! The menu changes every day!! All the staffs are also so kind and helpful! They will have new buildings by end of 2024. If I ever come back to Luxor, I will definitely stay here again and longer! My best memory in Egypt!

I would like to say a big thank you to Mr Ehab, his lovely wife and fantastic staff! I was there for Christmas with a group of 23 friends! Firstly I would like to say that the services was excellent, and what value for money. It best I’ve ever had in a hotel in Egypt, even from some of the 5⭐️hotels I’ve stayed in. Nothing was to much trouble! The rooms were clean and the beds so comfy, everything I needed for my stay. It was a great location for seeing all the local tourist attractions and a short walk to the Nile. I will definitely be back again next year! Thank you Gaddis Hotel

Muy buen hotel 3 estrellas para los estándares egipcios. Lindas instalaciones y habitaciones acorde al precio. Lo mejor de todo fue la atención de Ahmed, quien nos recibió con té y café de cortesía, fue muy atento en todo momento y nos ayudó con el almuerzo y el transporte al valle de los reyes y al aeropuerto. El hotel no sirve almuerzo, solo desayuno. Tiene una terraza hermosa en el techo desde donde se puede ver Hatshepsut y los globos aerostático en la mañana. Tiene un pequeño minimarket/panadería a la vuelta con snacks, bebidas y cosas de aseo personal, pregunten bien el precio de las cosas antes de comprar (como referencia, un jugo en caja o una oreo vale £10 libras egipcias). Recomendaciones: 1. el hotel queda en la costa oeste, a unos 300 metros de donde te deja el ferry público (que solo vale £10 libras egipcias para los turistas) por lo que es recomendable tomar un taxi (nos costó £450 libras egipcias) desde el aeropuerto hasta el ferry y cruzar y caminar esas calles, aunque la mitad de ese tramo es camino de tierra. Por la noche puede dar susto caminar por ahí, pero notamos que la gente local se conoce y no se corre peligro. 2. Si quieren facilit**** la vida, pregúntenle a Ahmed por chofer personal, quien también se llama Ahmed y vive cerca y es confiable. Pagamos $30 dólares para que nos llevara al valle de los reyes, colosos y hapshetsut y nos esperó todo lo que quisimos, además de darnos una explicación de todo el lugar mientras manejaba. Lo recomiendo para andar relajado sin esperar a ser estafado por otros taxistas. 3. La habitación solo trae una toalla y no tiene secador de pelo, pero simplemente hay que pedirle a Ahmed y los facilita. 4. Tuvimos que batallar contra unos pocos mosquitos en la habitación, pero nada que no se pudiera manejar. Obviamente no es algo que esté en manos del hotel, ya que estamos muy cerca del río Nilo y es obvio que habrá mosquitos. La habitación en general estaba limpia y libre de bichos relacionados a la limpieza. Recomendable 100%, si volviera a Luxor me quedaría ahí nuevamente.

At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. That being said, for the price, the room surpassed my expectations, in cleanliness and organisation. However, the staff was probably the best part, they helped us book various services in Luxor, including hot air balloon ride. They were very friendly and helpful, and I definitely recommend Shady Hotel as a place to stay for cheap if it is your first time in Luxor.

This hotel is a special place. Its location is absolutely the best for the West Bank sites ( if you like to walk like we do, Valley of the queens, Valley of the Nobles, Deir el Medina or the Ramesseum are reachable within 20 to 30 minutes) If you want transportation you just go to the street and soon a tuk-tuk, car or taxi will stop and you can agree on a price. Just one warning : do not do this at 7.30 in the morning or so because everybody is rushing to work and there are no empty cars that will take you to a touristdestination or even to the ferry (3 kms from the hotel). The hotel of course can take you anywhere but you will have to give a notice beforehand, the price will be fixed and higher, but you will have a nicer car too. We had a room on the topfloor and we absolutely loved it. Very well furnished with a matching design, good wardrobe, big enough balcony with seating and functional bathroom. The view over the very well cared for property, the fields, the balloons in the morning giges you an instant holidayfeeling. The only thing that bothered a bit was the plastic cover of the matress because of the cracking sound but we easely understand the hygenic reasons for it. We had several dinners here and were honestly surprised by the quality of the food (crispy fresh salads, hummus with nice presentation, refined egyptian pastry) and the very nice and friendly service. The friendly service and quality is also present at breakfasttime with fresh juice and Lavazza coffee and more than enough food. There is one more very special thing about The New Memnon Hotel : Mr Sayed, the owner is besides his concern about the guests, also a very caring person for everybody who workes in this community of a small hotel that wants to give quality to its clients but also more quality of life through a better income for its dedicated workers. Instead of a tipbox you will be asked if you want to contribute an amount on top of your bill so he can distribute it to everyone who keeps this hotel such excellent value. Be sure they will be thankfull.

An absolute charmer of a guest house in central Luxor, Maras presents a level of sophistication and style that’s usually well above my pay grade. Our suite (yes, suite - not just a room but an apartment) is a wall to wall mini museum of tapestry, carpets, classic furniture and local art, tastefully pulled together in a manner that makes you feel like a very honoured guest. And that feeling continues when you engage with Mara, Amr and the team - the most genuinely helpful and supportive people I have met on any holiday, and always willing to go the extra mile for your happiness. If you are reading this while planning a holiday - book it now. Suite 4 is a charmer, say yes when Mar offers you tea (the handmade biscuits were astounding), sign up for the feast and visit Abyssinian and Dendara too!

Located on the quieter West Bank, the hotel (more of a large guest house) is bang in the middle of a village of locals and gives this place a really authentic feel. The locals in the town centre can harass you extensively, but those in the neighbourhood just want to say hello or get on with their day. I haven't always felt safe in Egypt travelling solo, but here I feel completely at home! Every single member of staff is fantastic. Not all of them speak much English, but they'd do anything to make your stay more comfortable. At least three of the staff speak English well: The owner, Mahmoud, usually hangs around the hotel but also lives locally and treats his guests like family. Ahmed will always greet you with a smile and a warm welcome and Talab is a perfect gentleman who will drive you wherever you need to go. The rooms are divided into three blocks, which have been added at different times. Block one has the best rustic feel. My shower wasn't working properly and Mahmoud proposed a number of solutions. Eventually, I moved to a room in the newer block. Most rooms overlook a beautiful green courtyard with exposed and shaded outdoor seating and a pool. There is also a restaurant on site with indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is reasonably priced, tours can be organised in house, and there's a little shop around the corner for things like bottled water staffed by a couple of lovely ladies who speak no English but will not rip you off. Note, there is a mosque nearby which can be quite loud when announcing the call to prayer and that may not be to everyone's taste. Personally, I feel it adds to the charm and it hasn't yet woken me up at night. Access to the populated East Bank and museums is via a ferry that is a 10 minute walk away and costs just 10 EGP per way. Solo traveller, 34

We arrived in Luxor extremely tired after a 10hr journey on a sleeper train from Cairo. On approaching the hotel our taxi driver asked us why here? … I’ll tell you why here… The Jewel Howard Carter hotel is a dazzling oasis on Luxors West Bank. The staff that greeted us were friendly and welcoming allowing us to check in super early . Our room was extremely comfortable with a view of the garden and the sound of birdsong ( much nicer than the sound of Cairo traffic!) The staff were able to book us a wonderful driver for the 2 days we were here, he took us to the east bank for lunch, sightseeing , stopping at a local bar for Egyptian tea, then day 2 sightseeing on the West Bank. They also arranged for a tuktuk to take us to our sunset felucca trip on the Nile. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious and as we had an early flight they even gave us breakfast to go! Shukran Said and your wonderful staff for making us feel so welcome

가족이 운영하는 훌륭한 작은 호텔입니다. 어디서부터 시작합니까? 소유자와 모든 직원은 손님을 위해 더 많은 노력을 기울이는 것을 기쁘게 생각합니다. 내가 마지막으로 여기에 있었기 때문에 보수 공사는 훌륭하고 장소는 내부와 외부 모두 좋아 보입니다. 수영장 옆의 조식당은 명소를 보기 위해 출발하기 전 이른 아침 커피/아침 식사에 완벽하지만 저에게는 옥상 레스토랑이 어울리기에 가장 좋은 곳이며 나일강을 가로질러 룩소르 사원까지의 전망은 이길 수 없습니다. 메뉴는 현지 요리와 세계 각국의 요리가 잘 혼합되어 있으며 항상 좋습니다. 위치 관점에서 보면 나일강을 이길 수 없습니다. 물과 페리 포인트 바로 옆에 있어 동쪽 은행으로 건너는 것이 간단하고 빠릅니다. 상점은 도보로 몇 분 거리에 있으며 물론 서안에서 할 수 있는 모든 관광에 이상적으로 위치해 있습니다. 나는 여기에 머무르는 것이 좋습니다.

The worst part of the experience was the noise at night. Very difficult to get a good night's sleep. The numerous staff/family operating the hotel are constantly moving and talking, cleaning, climbing and descending the internal stairs. 1 am or 4 am, it doesn't matter, shouting on the phone is considered normal... The ”call to prayer” sounds at 5 am are actually familiar, nice and soothing to me (from hearing them for years in Asia). The loud street noises (motorcycles, boat engines, shouting and music) I can understand and accept. But the stair and courtyard noises and loud talking were completely avoidable, especially since they were not made by tourists (no keys turning, door slamming or trolley dragging). The problem is worse in the small bedrooms with the ”mirror” windows that face the internal stairs. Double the noise (we had room 555). Of course, I clearly and politely mentioned the problem to management after the first bad night. I cannot recommend the terrace restaurant except for breakfast. The view is quite good, the food was decent, but you can get a better, more authentic (and cheaper) experience in the restaurants on the East bank. Other than this, cleanliness was average and the facilities were satisfactory. The Nile balcony view is nice. Also the top terrace view, sunset, sunrise or hot air ballon view was impressive. The staff does seem to try to be accommoding during the day. I can't speak for the tours they offer, we eventually declined them and booked separate temple tours online, but I did not get the sense we were getting any good deals, actuality quite the opposite... We found good local shops in the area (especially the local falafel and sweets shops) and really enjoyed the experiences and products they offered. Overall, as seasoned, curious and open travelers, I wish we could, but we cannot really recommend Spring hotel, unfortunately. Not even if it was less than half the price... Spent 3 nights here in one apartment booked on airbnb (4 people, 2 couples) in December 2023. By the way, at this time you could rent 2 apartments for 2 persons each, at exactly the same price. P.S. I am writing this at 5 am because I cannot sleep, on my last night at the hotel, as someone takes a loud phone call outside...

The Hotel is located on the West Bank, you can visit The Valley of the Queens / Kings but also take the local Ferry to Cross the Nile and visit the City on the East Bank. The Staff is great and very friendly. You can also enjoy your time at by the pool and Garden . Would love to come back some time! ❤️✨

Extremely hospitable family run business suitable for anyone wanting to experience Luxor in its truest form. The owner is very knowledgeable and passionate and will help you to understand the life and history of Luxor. A place loved by archaeologists due to its close proximity to the valley of the kings and queens and its extremely homely feel. The staff are extremely respectful and will do everything possible to assist you. Saad is the owner of a boat that can take you across the Nile and over to Banana Island and is an extremely lovely person. The hotel provide an in-house massage therapist and can organise trips to the various historical sites for good rates. Even as a solo female traveller, I felt safe and comfortable and well looked after. The best place for those truly seeking a real experience of what life in Luxor really is.
