Exceptional Design & Thoughtful Luxury at Irnaqana Villa Ubud – A Standout Private Pool Villa. We recently stayed at Irnaqana Villa by GenuineHost in the Ubud and were thoroughly impressed by the architectural design and overall experience. This is not just another new villa (open late 2025), it’s a beautifully conceived private sanctuary where modern elegance meets natural tropical living in perfect harmony. Irnaqana consists of only four villas, each one a completely separate building. This gives every guest total privacy and the feeling of having your own exclusive retreat, which is rare and highly appreciated. The First Impression: A Brilliant Design Moment. From the moment you arrive, the entrance sets the tone. The elegantly designed door is a masterstroke, as it opens, it dramatically reveals the entire private swimming pool in one breathtaking view. It’s cinematic and instantly relaxing. No obstructed sightlines, just pool and lush greenery waiting for you. This clever architectural choice makes the outdoor space feel like an extension of the living area and creates that “wow” factor right away. Lush Garden & Natural Surroundings and water flow sound. The garden is lush and thoughtfully planted with a wonderful variety of tropical plants that feel completely natural and established. It’s not overly manicured, instead, it blends beautifully with the surrounding rice fields and countryside, giving a genuine sense of being immersed in Bali’s nature. Morning light filtering through the leaves, birdsong, and the gentle breeze made our mornings on the terrace truly special. Spacious Interior with Impressive High Ceilings Inside, the villa shines with its generous proportions and smart layout. The ceilings are exceptionally high — at least 5–6 meters — which not only makes the space feel incredibly airy and luxurious but also keeps the villa naturally cooler throughout the day. This is a game-changer in Bali’s climate. The unit is cleverly split into two distinct yet connected zones: • On the left side you have the dining and TV lounge area — perfect for relaxed meals or evening entertainment at the sunken seating. • On the right side is the bedroom with a bathtub and bathroom wing. Both sides offer ample space, so nothing feels cramped. The design elegantly balances modern lines, high-quality materials, and natural elements, clean aesthetics paired with warm tones and textures that nod to Balinese tradition without feeling clichéd. Every piece of furniture, lighting, and finishing feels carefully chosen and of premium quality. Bedroom & Bathroom Comfort The bed is enormous and one of the most comfortable we’ve experienced in Bali. After long days of exploring Ubud or playing sports, sinking into it was pure bliss — our backs were very thankful! The bedroom feels spacious and peaceful with excellent blackout options. The bathroom is equally impressive — spotlessly clean, with strong water pressure in the shower, fresh towels daily, and good-quality toiletries. Everything felt hygienic and well-maintained. The air conditioning is powerful and gets deliciously cold although might needs 1-2 minutes, which was welcome after hot days. Combined with the high ceilings and natural ventilation, the villa stayed comfortable at all times. Location Perks. While the villa itself is tucked away in a quiet, green setting ideal for relaxation, the surrounding area is surprisingly convenient. There’s a fantastic variety of eateries within a short distance — from authentic local warungs serving delicious Balinese food to excellent international restaurants. Final Thoughts Irnaqana Villa excels in thoughtful, high-quality design that prioritizes space, light, views, and privacy. It successfully delivers both aesthetic beauty and genuine comfort. Ohana has some good things about it, and could be a good retreat with some investment. I booked a Deluxe room for one night and checked out the Apartment because I wanted to stay there long-term (thanks to the gym proximity), but the A/Cs were very weak, so I couldn't extend my stay into the Apartment, and the Deluxe room was too small and uncomfortable for laptop work. Pros: - Away from the street and pretty quiet for now (though there's a construction site right next to it, see rooftop photo) - Nice bamboo-lined entrance after you open the gate with the security code - More comfortable beds than in 8/9 other places I've stayed in Bali so far. Not Tempurpedic or anything that fancy, but softer (perhaps a memory foam topped over a coil mattress). - Only 5 minutes walk to the best gym in the area (”WRONG” gym) - The room was clean, the towels smelled very nice, but the glasses looked dirty - Pretty good light blocking curtains - Insect mesh on the windows! This is such a common-sense feature, but it was the first time I saw in Bali, after staying at 5 hotels/resorts, 1 villa, and 3 rooms at PARQ Ubud - Nice (for the area) rooftop views, with beautiful sunsets - Helpful staff assisted with carrying luggage - There's a small communal kitchen with a microwave and utensils you can use - Nice (but unpopulated) rooftop bar area Cons: - The street entrance is a construction war zone, with garbage and everything (see photos) - Not just the A/C in my room, but both split A/C units in the Apartment, were VERY weak (so 3 units in total). The A/C in my small room only managed to drop the temperature by 2.5C (4.5F) during the 2 hours of running at maximum (loudest) fan speed (28.6 -＞ 26.2 / 83.5F -＞ 79F, see digital thermometer/CO2 sensor photos). Staff told me they could call engineering to take a look, but the facilities/appliances were old (the subtext being, don't have much hope). - The chair was more of a torture device than a chair. Who in their right mind would buy anything like that except perhaps for a ”DO NOT DESIGN FURNITURE LIKE THIS” exhibit? - Only one power outlet for the desk/chair area, occupied with the WiFi router, so I had to plug my laptop into the bathroom power outlet - No water provided. Staff told me to go to a minimart. The closest one walking north was Circle K, and the walk is the typical stressful walk in Canggu, with scooters and cars parked on the sidewalk, construction all over the place, and the frequent lack of pavement - The place was advertised as a coliving on Colivings, but there were maybe a total of 2 other guests there, and no sense of community whatsoever. - The floating beds looked dirty (see photos) - Due to the height of the pool, it's only exposed to sunshine until about 2pm - The Apartment has an odd choice of 4 chairs around a table instead of a couch, and no microwave or toaster or blender in the kitchen. Good light blocking curtains in the bedroom though, and its view is relatively private when the curtains are pulled open.

저희가 묵었던 빌라는 정말 멋졌습니다. 아주 넓었고, 개인 수영장과 주방 도구는 물론, TV가 있는 소파까지 잘 갖춰져 있었어요. 객실 안에는 큰 침대가 있었고, 샤워 시설과 욕조가 분리된 욕실도 있었습니다. 에어컨도 있었고요. 짐 운반 서비스도 제공되었습니다. 직원분들은 정말 친절하고 상냥했어요. 아쉬운 점은 호텔에 레스토랑이 없고 조식만 제공된다는 것이었습니다. 하지만 배달 음식을 시켜 먹을 수 있어서 전혀 불편함이 없었어요. 정말 강력 추천합니다!

호텔이 마음에 들었고 편안하게 머물렀습니다. 특히 청결 상태가 훌륭해서 만족스러웠습니다. 객실과 공용 공간 모두 깔끔했습니다. 직원들도 친절하고 도움이 많이 되었습니다. 근처에 공사 현장이 없어서 조용하고 평화로웠습니다. 다만 호텔이 카페나 레스토랑에서 조금 떨어져 있어서 자전거를 가지고 오지 않는 여행객에게는 불편할 수도 있을 것 같습니다. 저는 다음에 또 이곳에 묵을 의향이 있습니다.

훌륭한 리셉션, 하우스키핑, 레스토랑 서비스. 정말 좋은 분위기를 느낄 수 있고, 깨끗하고 매우 중심적입니다. 거리의 대부분 서비스가 실망스러웠기 때문에 스파 서비스를 예약하지 않은 것을 후회합니다. 다시 갈 것입니다.

가격 대비 괜찮은 숙소입니다. 온수는 나오지 않습니다. 수건은 새것처럼 깨끗하긴 하지만 낡고 세탁하지 않은 것처럼 보입니다. 창밖 풍경은 마음에 들었습니다. 번잡한 거리에 있지만 방에서는 숲이 보이고, 들리는 소리라고는 산에서 흘러내리는 시냇물 소리뿐이었습니다. 주인분은 친절했습니다. 창문이 너무 깨끗해서 마치 시냇물이 흐르지 않는 것처럼 느껴졌습니다.

여기에 머무르는 것은 진정한 휴양지였습니다. 우리가 예약한 수영장 접근이 가능한 방은 깨끗하고 넓고 친밀한 bcs가 몇 개의 방만 있습니다. 우리 방은 논을 볼 수있는 노트북으로 작업 할 수 있도록 플러그가있는 식당 전망대와 매우 가까웠습니다. 욕실에는 따뜻한 물 샤워 시설이 있습니다. 나는 아침 태양이 방으로 침투 할 수있을 때를 좋아합니다. 아침 식사로 Nasi goreng과 Mie goreng은 꽤 맛있습니다. - 그러나 때때로 밤에 도마뱀붙이 소리가 들릴 수 있으며 불행히도 2n3d 체류 동안 아무도 우리 방을 청소하고 구성하지 않았습니다. 또한 티슈와 물이 채워지지 않았습니다.

코세 빌라 우붓에서 5박을 했는데, 이곳은 주변 환경이 여행 경험의 절반을 좌우하는 그런 곳 중 하나였습니다. 위치 및 분위기 코세 빌라는 논밭 한가운데에 자리 잡고 있어 조용하고 푸르른 자연 속에서 마음이 편안해집니다. 마치 우붓이 갑자기 '슬로우 라이프' 모드로 전환된 듯한 느낌을 줍니다. 전망은 두말할 필요 없이 아름답습니다. 고요함과 아름다운 풍경을 원한다면 바로 이곳에 머물러야 할 이유입니다. 진입로 관련 중요 사항 빌라로 가는 길은 논밭 사이로 난 좁은 길을 걸어가거나 차로 이동해야 하며, 길 옆으로는 작은 개울/관개 수로가 흐릅니다. 운전(특히 스쿠터)에 자신이 없거나 걷는 것이 힘든 분이라면, 특히 저녁 시간이나 무거운 짐을 가지고 있을 때는 다소 어려울 수 있습니다. 빌라 직원들이 오토바이로 빌라까지 데려다주고 데려오는 서비스를 제공합니다. 저는 개인적으로 매번 걸어서 이동했는데, 여유로운 걸음으로 5~7분 정도 걸렸습니다. 산책하기 좋은 길이긴 하지만, 미리 길을 알아두는 게 중요해요. 객실: 탁 트인 공간, 높은 천장, 그리고 유리벽 제가 묵었던 스탠다드 빌라는 정말 좋았습니다. 높은 천장과 넓은 공간, 그리고 통유리벽 덕분에 더욱 탁 트인 느낌이었어요. 정원 전망에 작은 주방이 딸린 객실이었습니다. 요리는 전혀 안 했지만, 냉장고가 있어서 정말 편리했어요 (물, 과일, 간식 등 다음 날 아침에 먹을 것들을 보관하기에 딱 좋았죠). 전기 주전자도 있었는데, 아쉽게도 인스턴트 커피 스틱만 제공되고 차는 없었어요. (작은 디테일이지만, 우붓에서는 차가 기본으로 제공되는 게 당연하다고 생각했는데 말이죠.) 욕실 & 샤워실 욕실과 샤워실은 평범하고 괜찮았습니다. 다만 한 가지 아쉬웠던 점은, ”뜨거운” 물이 최고 수온으로 설정해도 약간 미지근했다는 거예요. 하지만 날씨가 더워서 시원한 물로 샤워하는 게 오히려 상쾌하게 느껴져서 괜찮았습니다. 하지만 정말 따뜻한 물로 샤워하는 걸 좋아하신다면, 이 점은 참고해 두시는 게 좋을 것 같습니다 (호텔 측에서 확인해 봐야 할 사항일지도 모르겠네요). 실망스러웠던 점 몇 가지 때문에 완벽한 빌라 숙박이라고는 생각하지 못했습니다. • 헤어드라이어가 전혀 없었습니다. 프런트에 문의해 보니 호텔에 헤어드라이어가 없다고 하더군요. 이런 유형의 숙박에서 헤어드라이어가 없다는 건 놀랍고 불편한 점입니다. • 저녁에 조명이 부족했습니다. 낮에는 밝고 아름답지만, 해가 지면 방이 꽤 어두워집니다. 저녁에 편안하게 독서, 업무, 외출 준비를 하기에는 조명이 부족합니다. • ”공용” 수영장이라고 했지만, 사실상 공용이 아니었습니다. 수영장이 전체 숙소가 아니라 1호와 2호 두 유닛만 이용할 수 있다는 사실에 조금 당황했습니다. 제가 머무는 동안에는 수영장이 꽤 한산했는데도 이용 안내를 받지 못했습니다. 큰 문제는 아니지만, 서비스나 소통에 문제가 있다고 느꼈습니다. 전반적으로 저는 아주 좋은 인상을 받았습니다. 특히 논밭이 펼쳐진 조용하고 아름다운 풍경과 완벽한 프라이버시가 느껴지는 위치 덕분이었습니다. 여유로운 아침, 사방에 펼쳐진 자연, 그리고 우붓 특유의 푸르름은 재충전하기에 더할 나위 없이 좋은 곳입니다. 하지만 호텔이 꾸준히 더 높은 평점을 받으려면 몇 가지 기본적인 사항을 개선해야 할 것 같습니다. 헤어드라이어를 비치하고, 조명을 밝게 하고, 수영장에 대한 안내를 더 명확하게 하고, 수온을 확인하는 것도 좋을 것 같습니다.
