I stayed here for one night as I was transiting Cape Town with a flight the following morning. The check-in experience was pretty quick and seamless, as my booking was pre-paid. I stayed here being fully aware of the carbon-neutral moto. The hotel appeared clean and tidy. The free shuttle from the airport was trouble-free. The directions to the pick-up was simple to follow. The pick-up was on time, and it was a very short ride to the hotel - literally a matter of minutes. The room I was allocated - 233 - was spacious and clean. However, I was surprised by the bizarre layout, especially with the way the shower and bedroom is almost open plan - only a screen separate the two areas. The toilet is separated by a door, though. Other than that, I had no major issues with the room. The bed was large and comfortable, my sleep was not disturbed and it was generally a positive short stay. The shower worked fine, it took a little getting use to the water-saving feature in the sink tap. The toilet flush may have a malfunction, because it would stay stuck when pressed, and required tapping for the button to return from a pressed state. I felt safe during my stay, and was reassured by the security procedures in place when booking an Uber - drivers are asked to scan their driving licence at the gate when entering the grounds. The drive to the V&A Waterfront was about 25-30 minutes. I had a late lunch at the hotel restaurant - Nuovo. The menu was okay, but not spectacular. I visited the restaurant when it was relatively quiet with diners. However, I found staff were not particularly attentive. It took a while before someone approached me and provided a menu. The vegan burger I order was nice, even if it looked a bit dry. It was the only chargeable thing I incurred, which I put on the room (250 ZAR to pay on check-out). The breakfast is a decent buffet of hot and cold food, plus live omelette bar. There’s also pancake making facilities, automatic coffee machines and more. On check-out, to my surprise, I was informed of bills totally 600 ZAR. I explained that I only had one meal at 250 ZAR, which the reception staff accepted. However, a few days later, I received emails claiming that I had an unpaid bill for 350 ZAR, which I had to explain again in my response (I did not receive further contact after that). I think this was a case of staff incorrectly reading a room number when processing, or a guest deliberately giving the wrong room number. I caught the shuttle back to the airport after checking out, again trouble-free. All-in-all, a very good airport hotel, and one I could easily recommend to others.

A Beautiful and Peaceful Stay at Alkantmooi Private Nature Reserve, Keursee We recently stayed at Alkantmooi Private Nature Reserve, Keursee in Plettenberg Bay and had a lovely experience overall. When I booked, I didn’t realize that it was a fully self-catering property. On the booking site, it looked more like a nature resort with restaurants on-site, so it came as a surprise when we arrived and learned that we needed to bring or buy our own food. We ended up driving about 8 km into town to pick up some groceries, which turned into a fun little outing in the end. Still, it might be helpful for management to make this setup clearer on the booking sire for guests, especially those from abroad who might not be familiar with South African Travel habits. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. and were warmly welcomed by the owner, who gave us the keys and explained everything. The unit itself was amazing, very clean, modern, and well maintained, with a stunning view over the sea and Plettenberg Bay in the distance. At night, the lights from town were beautiful, and the whole area was peaceful and quiet. The environment felt safe, and we really enjoyed the fresh air and the sense of being surrounded by nature. One small note: when we arrived, the lady at reception asked my partner (who is Chinese) in Afrikaans if she spoke English or Afrikaans. It wasn’t a big issue, but it might be something to be mindful of when welcoming international guests, as not everyone understands Afrikaans and its not easy to decipher specially for those who do not speak English as a first language A few other suggestions for management: upon entering the unit, there’s a printed rule sheet. While I completely understand and respect the need for house rules, the way they’re written felt a little strict and unwelcoming. For example, it mentioned sanitizing hands every time you enter and reporting neighbors if they break rules, and more. The tone could perhaps be softened to feel friendlier and more guest-oriented. The only other drawback was the Wi-Fi, which was extremely slow during our stay. I wasn’t able to use it for basic browsing and had to rely on my phone’s international data via hotspot when I was using my laptop. Despite these small issues, I would still recommend Alkantmooi to others, especially those who enjoy self-catering and want a quiet, upmarket place surrounded by nature. It’s a wonderful place to unwind, cook your own meals, and enjoy the incredible views over Plettenberg Bay.

우리는 호텔에서 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 미니멀하고 넓습니다. 우리는 매일 아침 창문을 통해 일출을 볼 수 있습니다. 직원들은 친절하고 도움이 됩니다. 머무는 동안 우리가 겪는 유일한 문제는 샤워를 한 후 화장실 옷장까지 뻗어 있는 싱크대 아래에 물이 고이는 것입니다. 그 외에는 모두 괜찮습니다. 저렴한 음식이지만 훌륭한 선택입니다. 호텔에서 워터프론트까지 왕복 무료 셔틀. 근처에 커피숍과 기타 작은 상점이 있습니다. 그리고 유명한 테이블 마운틴의 일부가 우리 바로 위에 있습니다.

Pros Great location - a short drive to the waterfront and close to Table Mountain, Lions Head and the Botanical Garden where Uber will get you there quickly and for a good price. Staff were very good Breakfast was cooked very well and with good quality ingredients and a varied selection. It would be better if they had soft bread rather than the heavier one provided (althouh this could be a more European variety i havent come across before). The room was homely, as is the whole building (a bit of a British Grade 2 listed building kind of feel). Nice views over capetown in some rooms and a mountain view from the back. Room has heating and air con for all seasons. Cons As mentioned in a previous review, the room is quite dusty so if you are messing around with plugs behind the bed or tv, it's a challenge not to breathe in the dust. I think this could be a SA thing rather than the hotel itself but they only provide 1.5l of water which for a week is not enough, even for a solo traveller. You have to pay for any more. I have never come across this in 25 years of travel across 35 countries but again, i know there is a water issue in SA sometimes and I believe the tap water is drinkable (although I wouldn't attempt this as a tourist). Bathroom towels not replaced - just left to dry which doesn't work particularly well in winter. The photo of the hotel being near blue water is a little deceptive - obviously it is not near a beach and they don't suggest so but the body of water across the road is a water storage facility (currently empty) so don't expect tropical views. Having said that, if you get a city view room, the sunrise is right in front of you and a perfect time lapse opportunity as the scenery changes dramatically during the sunrise. Stunning experience. Overall, I would stay again and recommend the hotel which is in a quiet location.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Point Break Luxury Apartments, and once again, it exceeded all my expectations. This was my fourth visit, and it’s clear why I keep coming back. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptionally welcoming and warm. Their hospitality truly makes you feel at home. The property itself is impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. One of the highlights is the convenient location. Being so close to the V&A Waterfront, just a short Uber drive away, makes exploring Cape Town a breeze. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, this location is ideal. The views from the apartments are nothing short of sensational. Waking up to the sight of Table Mountain is an experience that never gets old and adds a unique charm to the stay. My thanks to the staff and management for yet another phenomenal stay – I look forward to my next visit!

방은 약간 오래되어 보였지만 깨끗하고 편안했습니다. 그러나 마지막 2박 동안 키 카드가 어떻게 된 일인지 저를 게스트로 등록하지 않아서 리셉션으로 가서 카드를 다시 활성화해야 했는데, 특히 이 2박을 이미 예약했기 때문에 불편했습니다. 또한 호텔에서 1박당 200랜드의 보증금을 받고 현금으로 지불해야 하는데, 케이프타운이 제 여행의 마지막 목적지였고 더 이상 현금이 많지 않아서 이 때문에 현금을 인출하고 싶지 않았기 때문에 실망스러웠습니다. 안타깝게도 다른 결제 방법을 사용하면 손실이 발생하기 때문에 현금이 유일한 방법인 듯합니다. 결국 신용카드로 이 보증금을 지불했는데, 보류를 하지 않고 제 카드에 청구되었습니다. 체크아웃할 때 환불을 처리하기 위해 CVV를 포함한 모든 카드 정보를 요구했습니다. 안타깝게도 한 달 후에도 여전히 카드로 환불을 받지 못했습니다. 은행 송금으로 환불을 받기까지 한 달이 더 걸렸습니다. 제가 깜짝 놀란 건, 호텔 은행에서 청구했기 때문에 32%나 적게 받았다는 겁니다. 호텔은 호텔이 이체 비용을 부담하지 않는다고 말했고, 환불을 시도했을 때 제 카드가 작동하지 않았다고 주장했습니다. 하지만 제 카드로 환불을 시도했다는 사실은 제 이메일 통신에서 전혀 언급되지 않았습니다. 결론적으로, 호텔 객실은 일반적으로 머물기에 쾌적하지만 위의 문제를 피하기 위해 보증금을 지불할 때는 카드를 사용하지 마세요.

이 호텔은 전략적으로 위치하고 있으며 산 전망이 더 넓은 코너 룸을 예약했습니다. 테이블 마운틴과 라이온 록의 아름다운 풍경을 즐길 수 있지만, 객실은 깨끗하고 깔끔하며 시설이 완벽합니다. 아침 식사는 풍부하고 다양합니다. 숙박 경험에 매우 만족합니다. 호텔에는 아름다운 환경과 따뜻하고 사려 깊은 서비스 직원이 있어 휴식을 취하기에 좋은 곳입니다. 유일한 아쉬운 점은 객실이 조금 낡았다는 점입니다. 호텔에서 제때에 장식하고 업데이트할 수 있었으면 좋겠습니다. 가격이 조금 비싸긴 하지만 호텔의 서비스 품질은 정말 훌륭하고 돈값을 합니다. 호텔 시설이 완벽하고 수영장과 헬스장도 매우 훌륭해 헬스를 좋아하는 친구들에게 추천할 만하다. 호텔의 조식 뷔페 분위기는 매우 좋고, 웨이터는 열정적이며, 요리는 다양하고, 맛은 먹을 때마다 행복해질 것입니다. 프론트 데스크의 접수 효율이 조금 느린 편이었습니다. 체크인 시 메시지 확인까지 시간이 오래 걸렸습니다. 서비스 효율이 향상되었으면 좋겠습니다. 전반적으로 이 호텔은 우리에게 매우 좋은 인상을 주었고 다음에도 이곳에 머물기로 선택할 것입니다.

정말 멋진 곳이에요! 케이프타운에서 시티투어 버스를 타실 계획이라면 꼭 여기서 묵어보세요. 바로 앞에 정류장이 있거든요! 위치도 정말 좋고, 눈앞에는 멋진 바다가 펼쳐지고 뒤로는 라이언스 헤드가 바로 보여요. 개인적으로 이곳의 아침 식사는 정말 훌륭했어요. 고급 호텔에서도 쉽게 느낄 수 없는 평화와 편안함을 느낄 수 있었죠. 다시 방문할 기회가 생긴다면 한 달 이상 묵고 싶어요!

We booked this hotel as an extension of our stay while we were already physically at the property. During the booking process, the dates were automatically changed in the app to one month later due to availability issues, which we didn’t realise until we received the confirmation email. We went to the front desk immediately to cancel, and the manager reassured us that everything would be resolved. We followed all the required procedures, but unfortunately the reservations team repeatedly denied the manager’s request. Trip secured s cancellation from one member of the reservation team which was then denied by a different member As a result, we were charged the full price for the incorrect booking online, and also had to pay higher, on-the-day rates at the hotel to extend our stay. During our visit, we had booked three rooms and paid for upgrades for each, so this was particularly disappointing. The hotel itself is beautiful and the on-site staff were lovely, but we feel let down by how this situation was handled. Given the circumstances, we don’t feel we were treated fairly as customers over a clerical error. The hotel still had 30 days to resell the room.
