My experience there was really good it was calm and the room was clean without any disturbance i had a good time

Just by the train station so very handy, city centre just a short walk away, making it great for city breaks and having all you need near you. In the room my bed was so comfortable and spacious with a nice big bath. Room was clean and had a fridge and tv, kettle, again everything you need. The staff were helpful and friendly. I had the deluxe room and for the money I paid I got a great bargain. I will definitely book again in the future.

We recently stayed at this hotel and were very impressed by the staff — they were consistently friendly, courteous, and helpful throughout our stay. The bed was also exceptionally comfortable, which made a positive difference. However, the interior of the rooms did not quite match the photos provided online. Our group stayed in three different rooms, and unfortunately, none of the thermal meters were functioning properly. The rooms were uncomfortably hot, making it difficult to fall asleep. In my own room, the washbasin was also clogged, which caused further inconvenience.

Explorers Retreat Matlock Bath was a unique and fun experience! As a solo traveler, I loved the quirky cabins and the adventurous atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing great tips on local activities. The cabin was clean and cozy, perfect for a solo retreat. The location was stunning, with easy access to beautiful walks and the charming town of Matlock Bath. While the facilities were basic, the overall experience was fantastic. It's a great choice for anyone seeking a bit of adventure and a taste of nature.

Everything else was perfect apart from one thing which was the air conditioning system wasn’t t working and that was the main reason I chose this hotel

I often considered booking this hotel when coming home to visit but after these last 3 days I will definitely use it more, previously I had always booked premier inn hotel never again, this hotel has AC which during the last few days has been a godsend and the added bonus of a walk in shower that was actually quite powerful, compare that to the premier inn asking for £300 for 3 nights with no AC and a shower over a bath that is totally useless, this cost £179 for 3 nights absolute bargain.

Overall, a very pleasant experience and the hotel is very well located for the railway station and amenities. The town centre is approximately a 15 minute walk away. Couple of downsides to my stay though, bed was very hard and lumpy, broken tiles in the bathroom, ***** hairs on the toilet base and worst of all, ***** stains on the wall. Doesn't say much for the hygiene standards at all. It's a shame that these let our stay down for us really. Otherwise the hotel would've been great.
