The place could do with a good cleaning, overall its a good stay, but dust should be wiped on top of their lights in the room, or on the shower. Good heating and hot water, no smell in our room, friendly reception service. Nice view from our room.

The hotel itself was a great experience and we did enjoy the novelty of staying in the prison which I would recommend to anyone. Upon arrival we were welcome by the team but very basic information was given, leading to us missing a tour of the hotel which we were told was included in the price. The manager then offered for one of the team to do a later tour for just the two of us which was cut short, very awkward and definitely not worth the money paid for. If we had been advised of the tour with the bigger group when checking in we may have had a better experience. We decided to book dinner at the chapel to experience it as much as we could but dinner was poor. We had to wait for our table, 3 different people asked for our name before we sat down and then again a fourth person checked once we were sat down. With minimal staff on the service was poor to say the least and The burger ordered was pretty much raw, I did not finish it. Once we had finished no one came to ask if we wanted anything else or to look at a dessert menu. We left the restaurant with no one even there working! Not sure where the team had disappeared to. Breakfast was good and would recommend it.

King Arthur’s Arms is fabulously located next to a huge car park, yet on Fore Street, which is the Main Street running through Tintagel and about 3 minutes walk to the top of the hill leading down to English Heritage’s Tintagel Castle. On arrival we were checked in at the bar by Jess with a very friendly Cornish welcome. The smell of cleanliness emerged us as we walked up to our huge room with double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, easy chairs and huge bathroom with double walk in shower, sink, toilet and heated radiator. Huge room for Cornwall and immaculate. We chilled out and wandered along and around Tintagel Castle, then back to the pub for dinner. It’s an extensive menu with huge portions. There was no issue with pub noise and we slept well, waking for an extensive breakfast which commences with a choice of pastries and cereals, then Full English, teas, coffees and juices! We were then able to stay parked for a few hours after check out at 10am to wander around Tintagel. Really cannot recommend King Arthur’s Arms enough and particularly so to single parents with kids-safe, friendly and accommodating and shout out to Jess for super friendly service throughout!

A mixed experience. We booked for the pool facilities, which were great. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening - excellent food and very good service. The breakfast was good too. Some buts, though. Our room had a very uncomfortable bed, a strange electrical light show from some devices in the ceiling once we turned the lights out and a repeated electrical buzzing sound all through the night which disrupted our sleep.The staff moved us to a much more comfortable room on the second night. The floors upstairs were so bouncy that it felt like the hotel must have the underlying structure of a rickety prefab - very odd and a little unsettling. And the restaurant had no character at all - an almost sterile feel. All a bit odd. While the pool, the food and the service really were great, and the many golfers who visited were clearly delighted, some of the spaces do need a refurb and a rethink.

하룻밤 숙박에 필요한 모든 것이 있습니다. 침대는 편안했습니다. 방 구석구석에 거미줄이 있고 거미 몇 마리도 있어 매우 깨끗하지 않았습니다. 모기 몇 마리도 제거해야 했습니다. 조명 설비와 램프 셰이드에 먼지가 있었고 욕실 리프 스위치가 청소된 것처럼 보이지 않았습니다. 방은 공기 중에 매우 눈에 띄는 습한 냄새가 났고 욕실 천장에 곰팡이처럼 보이는 작은 반점이있었습니다. 변기 좌석은 노란색 🤢 (새로운 1 🫤에 대한 몇 퀴드 만)으로 얼룩졌습니다. 내가 도착하기 전에 카펫이 뒤집어지지 않은 것처럼 보였다. 흙과 죽은 곤충이 주위에 누워 있었다. 다행히 나는 방에서 너무 많은 시간을 보낼 필요가 없었습니다. 대부분의 시간을 자고 있었습니다. 그렇지 않으면 매우 정직하게 다른 방에 머물 것을 요청했을 것입니다. 그래도 아침 식사는 정말 좋았습니다!

The Penventon Park Hotel in Redruth truly stands out as an exceptional choice. Every single staff member is incredibly kind and friendly, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. It's undoubtedly one of the best options in the area, especially for families with children, who also have a delightful time during their stay. The hotel offers a range of amenities, including a swimming pool, bar, restaurant, and convenient car park, making it a great choice for those driving. Additionally, it's only about a 20-minute drive to Hayle Bay and around 25 minutes to St. Michael's Mount, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. The rooms are impeccably clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend The Penventon Park Hotel for anyone visiting the area.

I can't begin to tell you how great the choice of this hotel was. We booked it as was going the the theatre to see the Luther tribute band who were amazing at the Hall for Cornwall. Under a minute from the hotel. There was free parking right in the centre of the town which we managed to arrive early and use this facility. We booked a queen size bed which was huge and very comfortable. The rooms are a tad tired but totally acceptable. The staff in the bar were lovely and accommodating. This went from day and night staff! This is the perfect hotel for shopping in Truro too. Can't wait for our next visit! Fitted in a visit to Truro Cathedral too, truly inspiring! We has a continental breakfast which was acceptable x

Absolutely loved our stay here! The location is perfect—right by the river and close to beautiful gardens and stunning views. We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant; the food was incredibly delicious and way beyond our expectations, especially for the price. It felt like a fancy dining experience without the hefty bill. We had requested a non-carpeted room, and were so happy they accommodated it. The view from our window was just gorgeous. Everything about the place was peaceful, and the facilities were top-notch—jacuzzi, warm indoor pool, saunas, and even options to try golf or tennis. Overall, such a great experience for the price. We both left feeling relaxed and grateful. Thank you!

Didn’t expect to be staying in a block of rooms which were pretty soulless. Wanted to go into the Hotel bar for a drink but because we didn’t have a meal booked, as wanted to go out to Portreath by the sea for food, we weren’t allowed in the bar for a drink from 6pm, it was cordoned off! so I have no idea what the hotel bar is like. So I feel for the money we paid we didn’t actually get to use any of the hotel. All we wanted was a drink in the bar with the view. I won’t be rushing back.

I'm not really sure where to start reviewing the Harbour Hotel in Fowey - part of me doesn't want to publicise how fantastic this place is! We really enjoyed our stay - we really didn't want to leave! The helpful and friendly staff (Karina on our last evening at dinner was particularly brilliant), excellent food (we had a cream tea, breakfasts and dinner) and a superb room with a stunning view over the bay. The hotel's position in Fowey is fantastic - allowing short walks to the centre, the harbour and walks - as well as having those jaw-dropping views from the bar/restaurant. Thank you for your hospitality and we'd love to come back and stay again!
