My experience at the Neuer Markt guesthouse wasn't great: the room was nice, but the beds were small and uncomfortable, and I wasn't happy with the pillows. There was no liquid soap in the bathroom, and in the morning during breakfast, the lady working in the dining room would constantly pressure me as soon as I sat down, demanding I eat something right away because they were about to clear everything away. I understand they had to clear everything away, i was a little late, but while there's still food, give me a minute to at least sit down! Not recommended!

Excellent location in the center of Vienna, view of the beautiful piazza from the room. Room was a good size for 3 people (2 twin beds and sleeper sofa). Front desk and breakfast staff were so helpful and nice. Breakfast choices were ok, not a big variety.

An antique looking Hotel in a very central location in the central Vienna. Very friendly and helpful front desk and as well a very quick service by the plumber in the late evening. All are good. Yes, pillow was one but I could manage with a folded blanket along with it ;) What was missing are hot water kettle in the room and variations in the breakfast.

We stayed here for 4 nights in December and it was not cheap. The city centre location is excellent with attentive, knowledgeable staff and hearty breakfast provided. What the glossy promotional photo and video does not show is that there are at least 6 rooms (we were 45 - 3rd floor) that face the internal lightwell and in winter this means the single ceiling light needing to be on at all times. These rooms should come with either a health warning in Winter or let at a maximum discount. The room was an essay in brown! Brown ceilings, brown 1/2 wall panelling, brown furniture. The furniture seems to be leftover from the 1970s and is not fit for purpose in the 21st century. There were no facilities to make a hot drink either in the room or communally. There were inadequate sockets - one should not have to scrabble at the side of the bed to choose between bedside lights or charger. The "shower" is located centrally and is ideal for people les than 1.6m tall. The shower's location also ensures the maximum amount of water on the bathroom floor since the splash screen is at one end. The general decor is tired in the common areas with chipped and flaking paint prevalent.

Great location, close to everything. Room have no aircon and if you open windows it’s is very noisy. Handle on the bathroom door was broken. Beds are not very comfortable, and they provide only one pillow, but brought another pillow on request
