We booked parkside to host a baby shower, We did the decorations and parkside provided sandwiches and home made chips, the sandwiches were fresh well filled and plenty of them with a good variety of fillings, chips homemade and also plentiful...well done to the staff, Only down side is the decor is looking a little tyred..

Had Sunday lunch here for the first time and it was lovely. Everything was perfectly cooked, hot, tasty and excellent value for money. Front of house staff could be a bit happier but someone from the kitchen came out and they were lovely. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Very small hotel, only six rooms, very small staff, we had fun getting to know them. Very nice room and a very good dinner in their dining room. It’s like having your own private hotel. The cook was new but between him and the manager we worked out a great dinner and breakfast. We are walking the Coast to Coast trail.

What a hidden gem. Room was very nice, clean and very comfortable bed. Food was fantastic, huge portions. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Location great for the western fells. Easy to reach Ennerdale or Wastwater. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.
