This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! The room was bigger than expected and had a patio to sit out on, the bed was comfy and everything is situated a short walk from the mews rooms. I did notice the bathroom was a bit dirty and the hot water for the shower went completely this morning. The maintenance man had to come out and fix the boiler to rectify the issue. The location is absolutely stunning and the gardens are well kept. It is really a beautiful part of the UK and the main manor building is lovely. The gardenia restaurant is closed a few days of the week for dinner and also breakfast which I didn’t think was ideal. So we had to go outside to eat dinner as the spa restaurant wasn’t really what I was looking for, for a nice evening meal. For breakfast we had to go to the sage spa restaurant which had a very limited selection of food. There were about 6 dishes to choose from, they said The chef doesn’t cook scrambled egg which is a breakfast essential so I basically had to have a plate of toast. As there was nothing that I wanted on the menu and I was told the smoothie machine was broken so I couldn’t even opt for that instead. This happened straight after the hot water had gone so was a bit of a dampener. I came to the hotel a few years ago when you didn’t have to pay for the spa access but now you do which is a bit annoying. Especially as you can only visit during breakfast or dinner hours even with the £20 surcharge. So then you have to either eat very late at night or have a late lunch otherwise the £20 won’t be well spent and you’d have to leave the spa after an hour

This is the best place to stay in Folkstone! A beautifully refurbished Victorian hotel on the seafront. Our room was well worth the money for its tasteful decor and excellent sea and promenade views. The buffet breakfast was superb - great variety and quality. All staff we met were excellent, well-trained in their role and obviously enjoying their job.

Great array of breakfast choices. Clean. Room service great. Restaurant on premises offered delicious dinners at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Room tidied daily. Fresh linen. Spacious room. Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed for three nights to celebrate our anniversary. Our stay was exceptional and especially all the staff who couldn't do enough for us and with a smile and good humour. The service was spot on as was the food in the restaurant, we ate there on all three nights and enjoyed top cuisine, wines and beers. A special touch was the 'Happy Anniversary' slate with a couple of coconut ice sweets! The breakfasts were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection, although we found the bacon just slightly tough but totally edible. Superb poached eggs! As a comment fresh fish would have been a nice addition at breakfast although smoked salmon was available. The bed was very comfortable and the room spotless and with most of the facilities one would expect. It would have been helpful to have a non-slip mat for the bath as well as a grab handle for safety. Also soap dispensers next the shower would have been helpful. As the summer is extremely hot (2026) air conditioning was very welcome! The spa facilities were lovely too!

호텔 자체는 좋았지 만 rastuurant에서 신선한 페인트를 을 수 있습니다. 리셉션과 하우스 키핑 직원은 정중하고 도움이되었습니다. 불행히도 수영장 지역을 좋아했습니다. 스팀 룸 맞은 편 샤워가 작동하지 않고 사우나가 작동하지 않았습니다. 체육관은 최신 기계로 할 수 있지만 멋진 공간입니다. 아침 식사 직원을위한 레스토랑 수요일 아침은 도움이되지 않았지만 목요일 아침 Terrie와 Billy가 그것을 돌렸습니다. 그들은 수다스럽고 도움이되었고 너무 많은 문제가 없었고 미소로 서비스를 제공했으며 테이블은 즉시 청소되었으며 끊임없이 이동했습니다. 완전히 굉장합니다. 주차 우리는 하루에 £ 10를 지불해야했는데 이는 우리에게 £ 20였습니다. 한적한 아름다운 지역.

Hotel is conveniently located by the M2 motorway, close to the town of Gravesend. Hotel staff were polite and helpful and the cleanliness of the hotel throughout was acceptable. Room was cozy, soft bedding and plenty of tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom was small but well equipped, decent water pressure and temperature. Restaurant attached is nice affordable and fast service.

위치와 스파 때문에 이 호텔을 예약했습니다. 호텔 자체는 좋았지만 스파는 더럽고 스파 시설이라고 하기엔 부족했습니다. 수영장이 있는 호텔로 홍보하는 게 더 적절했을 것 같습니다. 4성급 호텔 스파치고는 너무 실망스러웠고, 호텔 측에서 시설을 과장해서 광고한 것 같습니다. 발렌타인데이였는데 스파 셔터가 오후 6시도 되기 전에 내려져 있었습니다. 체크인할 때 스파에서 수건과 가운을 제공하고 마지막 입장 시간은 오후 8시 30분이라고 안내받았습니다. 하지만 스파 리셉션에 도착하니 수건만 받았고, 가운은 스파 패키지 이용객에게만 제공된다고 했습니다. 체크인할 때 들었던 내용과 완전히 반대되는 이야기였습니다. 수영장과 탈의실은 매우 더러웠습니다. 수영장 옆 샤워 시설은 고장 나 있었고 오랫동안 사용하지 않은 것처럼 보였습니다. 자쿠지가 있던 자리는 판자로 막혀 있었고, 오랫동안 방치된 듯했습니다. 수영장 물은 차갑고 더러웠습니다.

The hotel is a bit dated but for the price we paid, it was good value. In terms of location, it was great for us as we were guests at a wedding at Leeds Castle and this hotel was literally around the corner. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did not use the leisure centre, but was told by family that it was really nice, especially the swimming pool. Regarding the room, as soon as you walk in you can smell the drains in the bathroom which is by the door but it's not that bad that you can smell it in the room. We had a family room which was large and had a king and two singles. The room was ok regarding cleanliness, some missed areas and dead insects which may have flown in through the big windows. Breakfast was nice with a decent selection of food and good choice of drinks which was needed after a hot weekend. Overall we are pleased with our stay and would recommend it.
