This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! Fantastic location, amazing service, incredibly clean rooms, just very very comfortable stay. Didn't wanna leave the room because it was so good. Highly recommended! (Great restaurants and cafes in and near the hotel too!)

Great array of breakfast choices. Clean. Room service great. Restaurant on premises offered delicious dinners at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Room tidied daily. Fresh linen. Spacious room. Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed for three nights to celebrate our anniversary. Our stay was exceptional and especially all the staff who couldn't do enough for us and with a smile and good humour. The service was spot on as was the food in the restaurant, we ate there on all three nights and enjoyed top cuisine, wines and beers. A special touch was the 'Happy Anniversary' slate with a couple of coconut ice sweets! The breakfasts were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection, although we found the bacon just slightly tough but totally edible. Superb poached eggs! As a comment fresh fish would have been a nice addition at breakfast although smoked salmon was available. The bed was very comfortable and the room spotless and with most of the facilities one would expect. It would have been helpful to have a non-slip mat for the bath as well as a grab handle for safety. Also soap dispensers next the shower would have been helpful. As the summer is extremely hot (2026) air conditioning was very welcome! The spa facilities were lovely too!

호텔 자체는 좋았지 만 rastuurant에서 신선한 페인트를 을 수 있습니다. 리셉션과 하우스 키핑 직원은 정중하고 도움이되었습니다. 불행히도 수영장 지역을 좋아했습니다. 스팀 룸 맞은 편 샤워가 작동하지 않고 사우나가 작동하지 않았습니다. 체육관은 최신 기계로 할 수 있지만 멋진 공간입니다. 아침 식사 직원을위한 레스토랑 수요일 아침은 도움이되지 않았지만 목요일 아침 Terrie와 Billy가 그것을 돌렸습니다. 그들은 수다스럽고 도움이되었고 너무 많은 문제가 없었고 미소로 서비스를 제공했으며 테이블은 즉시 청소되었으며 끊임없이 이동했습니다. 완전히 굉장합니다. 주차 우리는 하루에 £ 10를 지불해야했는데 이는 우리에게 £ 20였습니다. 한적한 아름다운 지역.

Nice weekend trip for a couple, two storey gym, sauna and pool all open and in good condition

The hotel is a bit dated but for the price we paid, it was good value. In terms of location, it was great for us as we were guests at a wedding at Leeds Castle and this hotel was literally around the corner. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did not use the leisure centre, but was told by family that it was really nice, especially the swimming pool. Regarding the room, as soon as you walk in you can smell the drains in the bathroom which is by the door but it's not that bad that you can smell it in the room. We had a family room which was large and had a king and two singles. The room was ok regarding cleanliness, some missed areas and dead insects which may have flown in through the big windows. Breakfast was nice with a decent selection of food and good choice of drinks which was needed after a hot weekend. Overall we are pleased with our stay and would recommend it.

매우 넓은 객실과 실내 욕실이 있는 아름다운 호텔입니다. Orangerie 식당은 평화로운 부지의 아름다운 전망을 가지고 있습니다. 우리는 그곳에서 저녁 식사를 하지 않았지만 아침 식사를 즐겼습니다. 직원들은 10개월의 유쾌한 어린 아들/손자에게 매우 수용적이었고 그들의 환대에 대해 칭찬받을 자격이 있습니다. 우리는 근처 Beacon Hotel에서 결혼식을 위해 거기에 있었기 때문에 (유모차로 차로 4 분 또는 20 분 도보) 매우 편리했습니다. 스파 호텔로서 £ 10가 그만한 가치가 있었지만 (!) 멋진 마사지를 받아야 한다고 느꼈습니다! 도보로 20분이면 많은 식당이 있고 매우 특이한 Tonbridge Wells의 매력적인 Pantiles 지역으로 이동합니다. 호텔에 관한 모든 것이 훌륭한 가치였습니다. 장식을 약간 업데이트하면 할 수 있지만 주저하지 않고 다시 머물 것입니다.

I used Hilton's a lot on business in the past & Dover lived up to my high expectations. Booked 3 twin rooms for 3 nights for a reunion. Very happy with our stay & will book again. Friendly, attentive staff. Spotlessly clean rooms & bathrooms. Some of the comfiest beds we've slept in. A few issues with (cold) breakfast (resolved) & a great selection. Some of our party enjoyed the sauna. One downside - the single lift is very small & slow creating a bottleneck.
