'The check in process was quick. We were looking forward to staying here as we just came in from Cartagena staying with Movich and It was wonderful. Unfortunately, the Movich in Barranquilla is tired. We walked up to our room and the hallway carpets were filthy. We booked a suite and it was a bunker. It had one small tiny window, which Looked like it had not been cleaned in years. The furniture in the room was worn. Dead plants and broken floor tiles. When you looked out the window, you saw no view and it looked  into rusty old Air-conditioning units. We did walk downstairs and refuse the room. I will say I felt like the hotel handled the situation. They gave us a higher floor suite the manager and two additional staff walked to the first room and the second room and acknowledged that needed to be clean better. They comped a dinner. Over the next couple of days you saw an effort to clean the floors because we could hear them vacuuming early in the mornings in the hallways. I will say that this hotels food was excellent. It was the best that we had in our 14 day stay in the country.'
