We chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to the Shantou railway station. The night prior, we stayed at a nearby Hampton but had a disappointing experience, so this was our first stay with a local Chinese chain brand. Check-in was smooth and efficient, although no English was spoken at the front desk. We had requested a higher-floor, quieter room via WeChat in advance and were initially assigned Room 602. Upon entering, the room appeared clean and well-maintained. However, we encountered an unusual and inconvenient issue with the Wi-Fi. Guests are instructed to turn on the TV to access the Wi-Fi password, but we discovered that the TV must remain on in order for the Wi-Fi to function. This was confirmed by multiple staff members, including what appeared to be a front desk supervisor. This setup was quite disruptive, as the TV screen is bright and cannot be dimmed, and the work desk is positioned directly in front of it. To their credit, Ms. Lin—responded promptly and offered to move us to another room (also 602, but with a different layout). The new layout was more practical, with the desk positioned at a 90-degree angle from the TV, which helped mitigate the issue somewhat. That said, the second room had its own drawback: there was a noticeable gap in the window, which allowed in road noise. Since we stayed over the weekend, traffic noise and honking were quite noticeable at night. In addition, we heard neighbors chatting and laughing past midnight. Lotion could be a nice addition too. A small humidifier with scented oil definitely gave a zen touch. Aside from these two issues (Wi-Fi dependency on the TV and sound insulation), the overall stay was comfortable. As a gesture of goodwill, the hotel provided complimentary breakfast. While we are not typically breakfast eaters, we did try the noodle station. The offerings were entirely Chinese-style. One suggestion would be to label the protein options more clearly (in Chinese or English), as we observed multiple guests asking staff about them—one of which turned out to be pig’s heart. Overall, this was a good introduction to a Chinese domestic hotel brand. I learned that they got a few locations in Europe. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in technology setup and soundproofing, the service recovery effort and general room quality made for a satisfactory stay.

출장 때문에 여러 고객과 함께 투숙했는데, 상대방 객실 번호를 몰라서요. 배달 음식을 시켜서 방으로 보내려고 프런트에 전화했더니 남자 직원분이 받으시더라고요. 예약 정보를 말하고 몇 층인지 물어봤는데, 분명 4개 객실을 예약했는데 3개밖에 없다고 우기셔서 더 이상 논쟁하기 힘들었어요. 나중에 직접 고객에게 전화해서 객실 번호를 물어봤네요. 프런트 직원분 업무가 아직 미숙한 것 같아 좀 더 발전이 필요해 보입니다. 😎 호텔 자체는 괜찮고 가성비도 나쁘지 않았어요.

다음 날 아침 일찍 고속철도를 타야 해서 머큐어에 묵었습니다. 고속철도역까지 위치가 편리합니다. 체크인할 때 작은 문제가 있었는데, 새로 온 프런트 직원이 방 카드를 잘못 줘서 다른 사람 방 문을 열 뻔했습니다. 다행히 객실 담당 아주머니가 막아주셨습니다. 여기서 (양샤오지에) 씨를 칭찬하고 싶습니다. 신속하게 대응했고, 전문 교육을 받은 티가 났으며, 태도도 매우 열정적이었습니다! 호텔은 깨끗하고 시설도 훌륭합니다. 최고예요! 👍

The place is nice and good! Staff are friendly but there is only one lift to serve the customers and the staffs working in the hotel is sharing the same lift as us. Housekeepers can push a big trolley and come into the lift with us. Not only that, the staff also take their breakfast while the customers are having their breakfast. This kind of action will not be seen in other hotels at all. Overall, the hotel is good and staff are accommodating.

I recently stayed at the Yiju Hotel near the Shantou High-speed Railway Station. Overall, the experience was quite positive, but there are a few areas that could use improvement. The hotel has a generally welcoming atmosphere and feels good to stay in, especially after a long journey. The location is incredibly convenient for travelers relying on the railway network. I found the room to be clean enough, with well-made bedding and tidy surfaces that met my basic expectations for hygiene. However, the property is showing its age. Some of the in-room facilities feel a little bit old and could benefit from an upgrade or modern maintenance. Additionally, there was a noticeable smell coming from the toilet, which seems to be an issue with the drainage or ventilation system. If you need a convenient, reasonably clean place to crash near the station for a night, it is a decent choice, but management should address the bathroom odor and aging fixtures.

The hotel room quite spacious except toilet. The facilities & deco need to be upgraded coz u can see it lack of maintenance. Room carpet got a lots of dirt spots on it. The location of hotel is quite convenienc to grab some food, the bed also comfortable. staffs are friendly & helpful.

이 호텔의 헬스장은 정말 기대 이상이었어요! 모든 운동기구가 새하얀 색으로 깔끔하게 정돈되어 있었고, 반짝반짝 빛나는 새것 같은 모습에 고급스럽고 세련된 느낌이었어요. 공간도 놀라울 정도로 넓어서 다른 호텔 헬스장처럼 비좁지 않았어요. 런닝머신, 덤벨, 웨이트 트레이닝 기구 등 다양한 운동기구가 갖춰져 있어서 원하는 곳 어디에서든 운동할 수 있었어요. 바닥은 흠잡을 데 없이 깨끗했고, 공기도 쾌적했으며, 조명은 은은하고 편안해서 아침저녁 운동 모두에 딱이었어요. 호텔에서 이 정도의 고급스러움을 누릴 수 있다니 정말 놀라웠고, 호텔 투숙객에게 이런 혜택을 제공한다는 게 너무 좋았어요! 다만 객실 시설은 좀 오래됐더라고요.

Location is excellent as it's fairly close to the Shantou Small Park and right opposite the iconic Longyan South Road food street, plus there are eateries nearby too, which means you never need to go far for food. A good thing too, the breakfast is not that good to be honest, you can spend about the same amount nearby for good soybean milk (plus snacks) and rice rolls at famous food stalls along Longyan South Road. It's also a couple of streets away from The Mixc too, if you prefer to go to a mall. Rooms are fairly clean with no odd smells but we spotted a few mosquitoes in the rooms, lift lobbies and even in the lift itself. My room's (801) shower door wasn't properly sealed so water leaked out easily unless we aimed the showerhead towards the wall. Hopefully they fix that, it was a bit of a nuisance. The washer and dryer are available for free and they have a pretty big capacity, being commercial machines. The room TV is also connected to the machines so you can check if there are empty machines and whether your load is done, which is very helpful. Front desk staff is competent and helpful.
