The best stay I’ve ever had in my entire life — and trust me, I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and B&Bs. ;) The rooms are gorgeous, spotless, and super comfortable, with great attention to detail — everything I could possibly need (and more!) was provided. The bathroom even had a Dyson hair dryer, a Kohler heated automatic toilet, and a Hansgrohe faucet! If you’re not familiar with these brands, just know they’re the best you can get. The location is convenient for reaching downtown Datong and various points of interest… but honestly, these technical aspects — which alone would already deserve a 10-star rating — pale in comparison to the warmth and kindness we received from the B&B owners. My friends and I truly felt at home, pampered by Ben, the guy who runs the place with such care and attention to his guests that I’ve never experienced anywhere else (not even in 5-star hotels!). He and his sister picked us up at the station — both speak excellent English (which is not something you can take for granted in China) — and they recommended amazing local restaurants, must-see attractions, and even welcomed us with a lovely gift package of local specialties. For breakfast, Ben’s mother prepared a rich and delicious traditional meal, and for our train trip she even packed homemade bread for us to take along! Datong is a charming city, and if you visit, you absolutely have to stay here!!!

Our stay at Bo Yuan’er Platinum Courtyard Hotel in Datong was outstanding. The hotel enjoys an excellent location right in the heart of Datong’s Ancient City. Being situated in the pedestrian zone means it is wonderfully quiet at night with no traffic noise, yet it still offers the convenience of an underground parking garage for guests arriving by car. The hotel is newly built with beautiful traditional-inspired architecture, and the rooms are luxurious, spacious, and finished to a very high standard. Everything felt modern, elegant, and exceptionally well maintained. The Chinese breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious dishes. Every morning was a pleasure. What impressed us most was the genuinely warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, professional, and always happy to help with any request. They kindly offered us a late checkout, which made our travel plans much more comfortable. As a final surprise, we even received a thoughtful gift when we left—a wonderful gesture that perfectly reflected the hotel’s exceptional service. We highly recommend Bo Yuan’er Platinum Courtyard Hotel to anyone visiting Datong. It combines a perfect location, beautiful accommodations, outstanding breakfast, and truly first-class hospitality. We would gladly stay here again.

방이 넓고 발코니도 있어서 좋았어요. 자가용으로 오면 지하 주차장도 있어서 편리하고, 교통도 좋았습니다. 아침 식사도 푸짐하게 잘 나왔어요. 지배인님과 직원분들이 모두 친절하셨고, 공항/역 픽업 서비스도 예약할 수 있었어요. 심지어 길 안내도 해주시고 작은 선물도 주셨습니다. 다음에 오면 또 여기 묵을 거예요!

이번 숙박은 정말 환상적이었습니다! 체크인 시 따뜻한 환영 인사부터 객실의 청결함과 편안함까지, 정말 만족스러웠습니다. 객실: 객실은 예상보다 넓고 밝았고, 침구는 깨끗하고 부드러워서 아주 편안하게 잤습니다. 기대 이상의 완벽한 숙박이었습니다. 디테일에 대한 세심한 배려가 정말 돋보입니다! 일회용 주전자와 ”여자친구 물병”은 정말 세심한 배려였고, 웰컴 과일도 푸짐하게 제공되었습니다. 다퉁은 정말 최고예요. 친구들에게 추천하고 싶고, 꼭 다시 방문하고 싶습니다.

My husband and I are a couple from Germany. We booked two nights there, and our decision was absolutely the right one. From the initial contact (via the WeChat app, which is essential for your entire trip to China) to our departure, everything was perfect. We were picked up from the train station by car and taken to the hotel free of charge. This is especially good for Western tourists who don't speak Chinese. The first problem would have been explaining to the taxi where we wanted to go. The lobby and rooms are very beautiful, stylish, and equipped with the highest technology. Most of the guest rooms face the inner courtyard, so you can sleep very quietly and comfortably. The beds are very large and comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent. It's located on the northern edge of the Ancient City of Datong, just a few minutes' walk from the tourist attractions and the colorful and lively old town. So you can enjoy it without being disturbed by noise. I would especially like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately, we don't speak Chinese, and the staff didn't speak English, but with the help of modern communication tools (language apps), we understood each other perfectly. Every request was fulfilled. There's even the option to use a washing machine in the basement of the hotel. This is especially fantastic for tourists on longer trips to China, as it allows for easy laundry. If you ever come back to China, we will definitely book this hotel again.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at in China! We honestly didn’t expect to be this impressed. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, making it feel like you’re staying in a boutique museum rather than a hotel. The entire property is incredibly aesthetic, and every part of it is a perfect spot for beautiful photos. We stayed in a stunning two-level room, which completely exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, stylish, exceptionally comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Every little detail had been carefully considered. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Datong Ancient Town. We could walk everywhere, with all the main attractions, restaurants, and beautiful streets just a few minutes away. The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve ever met. Everyone was genuinely welcoming, kind, and always happy to help, making us feel at home from the very first moment. Breakfast was also excellent. Instead of a buffet, a freshly prepared traditional Chinese breakfast was served each morning. It was delicious, beautifully presented, and the perfect start to the day. One of the nicest surprises was that guests can borrow traditional Chinese costumes free of charge for a photo shoot around the hotel. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough free time to try it ourselves, but it’s such a wonderful idea and gives us another reason to come back. We travel a lot and have stayed in countless hotels around the world, so it’s actually very difficult to surprise us. But this hotel genuinely did. If it were possible to give 100 stars instead of 5, we absolutely would. Even if we really wanted to find something to complain about, we honestly couldn’t. Everything was simply perfect. Without any doubt, this is one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. If we ever return to Datong, we won’t even consider staying anywhere else. We will definitely come back. Highly, highly recommended!

아주 새로운 호텔이에요. 건강과 웰빙의 도시에 건설되었습니다. 건물 전체의 절반은 호텔이고, 나머지 절반은 한의원입니다. 호텔은 아직 시범 운영 중이며 공식적으로 개장하지 않았습니다. 씨트립에서는 이런 사실을 알려주지 않았습니다. 호텔의 하드웨어는 4성급에 걸맞을 만큼 좋습니다. 외관 디자인도 매우 인상적이다. 호텔 밖에는 기관차 차고가 있습니다. 항상 기차가 지나가기 때문에 약간의 소음이 있지만, 호텔 창문은 방음이 매우 잘 되어 있습니다. 닫은 후에는 별로 소음이 나지 않습니다. 문제는 호텔이 방금 리노베이션을 마쳤기 때문에 창문을 닫으면 여전히 리노베이션 냄새가 난다는 것입니다. 호텔 프런트 매니저가 매우 환영해주었습니다. 프런트 데스크 직원의 서비스 태도가 좋습니다. 하지만 이러한 것들이 그들이 호텔을 얼마나 잘 운영하는지 가리는 것은 아닙니다. 전혀 전문적이지 못한 룸서비스와 음식 서비스. 우리는 첫날 아래층에서 아침을 먹었는데 음식은 괜찮았고, 꽤 단순했습니다. 둘째 날에는 객실로만 배달이 가능했습니다. 문제는 예정보다 30분 늦었고, 배달되기 전에 프런트 데스크에 재촉하는 데 시간이 많이 걸렸다는 것입니다. 두 사람에겐 계란 2개, 김치 한 그릇, 죽 두 그릇, 짜장면 두 그릇밖에 없었습니다. 운전을 하지 않는다면 이 호텔에 머물 수 없습니다. 케이터링도 없고, 레스토랑도 없고, 음식을 주문할 수도 없습니다. 돌아온 후 너무 피곤해서 샤워를 한 뒤 밖으로 나가고 싶지 않았습니다. 어쩔 수 없이 먹을 것을 살 수 있는 편의점이 있는지 물어봤지만, 편의점은 하나도 없었습니다. 편의점에 가려면 수 킬로미터를 운전해서 가야 했습니다. 테이크아웃의 경우 모두 15km 떨어진 곳으로 표시되어 있습니다. 오늘날에도 중국에 그런 장소가 여전히 남아 있다는 것은 정말 이상합니다. 레스토랑이 문을 열고 운영되면 상황이 나아질 거라고 생각해요. 더 이상 배고픈 승객은 없습니다. 호텔 시설은 매우 새롭고 고급스럽습니다. 하지만 단점도 많습니다. 예를 들어, 우리 집의 헤어드라이어가 고장났어요. 예를 들어, 그의 다른 일회용품들은 비교적 좋은데 면도기는 너무 나쁩니다. 두 번만 면도해도 칼날이 구부러집니다. 따라서 이 제품은 일회용 면도기라 할 수 없고, 반일회용 면도기라고만 볼 수 있습니다. 룸서비스는 설명하기가 쉽지 않습니다. 제가 전화했을 때, 하우스키핑 부서에 전화를 받을 사람을 찾을 수 없었습니다. 외출 후 오후 5시에 돌아왔을 때, 방 청소가 되어 있지 않았고, 객실 비품도 교체되어 있지 않았습니다. 샤워를 서둘러야 해서 수건을 빨리 바꿔 달라고 부탁했습니다. 그러다 보니 객실에 작은 정사각형 모양의 수건이 없었고, 그 대신 목욕 수건을 하나 더 주었습니다. 가장 기이한 것은 다음 날 체크아웃을 한 후에 전화가 와서 방에 손수건이 왜 없어졌냐고 물어봤다는 것입니다. 이렇게 혼란스러운 경영과 서비스 수준을 겪고 난 뒤 이곳에 머물렀던 손님들은 어떤 기분을 느낄까? 시범 운영 기간 동안 이 호텔이 서비스를 개선하고 경영 수준을 향상시킬 수 있기를 바랍니다. 하드웨어 수준에 맞는 소프트웨어 서비스를 제공합니다.
