The large yard has plenty of room to throw a baseball or play football. Cloudland Canyon, Pigeon Mountain are both close by with hiking trails and waterfalls for you to enjoy. McLemore Golf Course, with the best finishing hole in America is a short 20 min drive up lookout mountain. The interior of the home has been renovated with guest comfort and convenience in mind. With plenty of open space, as well as plenty of games and activities for quality family time, your cup will be filled in this peaceful, quiet, and relaxing space with open fields and boho vibes.Please read the full listing description below.The spaceHOME LAYOUTLiving:Enter through the inside of the barn, into the laundry/mud room, complete with washer/dryer/detergent, before opening into the large kitchen/dining/living space. Here you will find all the amenities for prepping and cooking a meal, as well as a large island, a dining table for 8, a piano, and a seating area. Just off the seating area, you have access out double doors to a small patio with a table and 4 chairs.Bedrooms/ Bathrooms:From the living room, continue down the hallway to the first bedroom on the right featuring a dresser, smart TV, and Queen bed. Next is the shared bathroom with shower and plenty of towels and washcloths. Continuing down the hall, the left side opens to two separate rooms: a small kids area with a desk, bean bag chair, and bookshelf with games and puzzles (can fit a pack-n-play or small crib mattress); and another Queen Bedroom with a dresser, smart TV, closet, and Daybed w/ trundle in the Galaxy Room.The end of the hallway features the large primary bedroom, with a King bed, Queen sofa bed, large walk-in closet, desk, smart TV, outdoor access, and private bathroom with soaker tub / shower combo, and farm acreage views.Kitchen:The large kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, a stove/oven, dishwasher, coffee pot, kettle and french press, toaster, toaster oven, crock pot, cutting boards, seasonings, and leftover containers.Outdoor Gameroom + Firepit:The Center of the barn is an open area equipped with a ping-pong table (not professional grade), a cornhole set, a dart board, and a ring-on-a-string game. There is a large mural that can be colored by guests! There is a seating area, a kids picnic table, and kayaks (used with additional permission only), and a Firepit area just outside the back of the barn.Guest accessPlease stay out of the horse stalls, but feel free to use anything in the gravel area. You are welcome to walk the property at your own risk. Be diligent of covered sink-hole places near the wooded, rocky area as you walk towards the creek. Please ask about fishing or using the kayaks on the creek.Other things to noteParking:There is plenty of parking for up to 6 cars as you arrive down the long gravel driveway to the barn. There is enough space in the covered barn to park 2 cars, or leave open for game/activity area.Fields:There are several acres of open fields that are perfect for family photos. Please be friendly to Ricky, the white barn cat you see roaming the property. He owns the place, and we are all guests on his property.Barn Vibes:Do not be surprised if you spot a bug or animal of some kind. We do maintain regular pest control, but this is a barn in an open field, so we encourage you to maintain expectations with that understanding.Neighbors:Please do NOT venture further down the gravel driveway beyond gate, behind the property. That is private property, and there is no trespassing.Parties:No parties or events over 12 people. You will need to send a message if you have a special request for visitors during a certain period of time. Full of treasures in honor of magical friends and the wizarding world!It consists of one long unit, composed of two spaces. The front half of the unit houses the living room and kitchen area with a foldout queen size sofa bed. The back half has two twin beds in a dorm room style setting, as well as a bathroom. This beautiful, recently renovated, fairy-tale cottage is located in Chickamauga, GA, near the National Battlefield and convenient to Chattanooga, TN. Located in a charming small town, with boutique shops and several great places to eat, it is also only 12 miles (or 25 minutes) to downtown Chattanooga, where you can enjoy many family/tourist activities (including Rock City and Ruby Falls!) and FABULOUS restaurants! The cottage can sleep several, and is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.The spaceThis is truly a storybook/fairy-tale cottage and decorated with loving attention to detail! It even has a spinning wheel!It has a small kitchen, small dining area , 2 nice decks and a front porch, and a campfire pit . It has a bedroom downstairs with a full bed, a fold out bed in the, living room with flat screen tv w/cable, luxurious bathroom with vintage claw-foot tub and separate shower, upstairs has a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a 1/2 bath across the hall from the another bedroom that has 2 full-size , built in captain beds. The stairs going upstairs are a bit steep, but good handrails and a gate (that latches) at the top.Guest accesscottage - with fire pit If the barn isn't occupied/rented, you are welcome to walk down to the renovated, event barn and visit the goats and miniature horse.Interaction with guestsSomeone from our family is always around our 40 acre farm adjacent to the cottage property.
