The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is very gentle and helpful. Very good breakfast. The location is excellent to explore the town centre and the University area. Long term parking is a little difficult due to the Time limitations for street parking.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Acorn Hotel for 6 nights in late March 2025, and I was very pleased with my choice. The location was perfect for me, and within walking distance of many sights. The Acorn is a clean, quiet, and well-run establishment with friendly and helpful staff. I did not choose to include the daily breakfast, but it smelled delicious every morning. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the washroom and shower, and the bed in my room was very comfortable. The Acorn Hotel has a nice, classic character without feeling old or out of date. I had no issues with the Wifi or television, and there was ample wardrobe space for my clothes and luggage. A few things should be kept in mind for prospective guests - the Acorn does not have an elevator, so those with mobility issues may wish to book a room on a lower floor. Also, there is no phone in the room, so guests need to go to the reception desk in person to make enquiries - though I suppose a guest could contact reception by cell phone too. And lastly, the rooms do not have refrigerators, so guests that require refrigeration for medicines, et cetera, should be aware of this. Overall, I strongly recommend the Acorn Hotel, and would definitely stay there again if I find myself visiting Glasgow in the future.

Very nice hotel, convenient for the West End and the University. Clean, good value, friendly staff and great breakfast. Apparently you have to use at least two hundred characters which is frankly irritating, I had said all I needed to at 101.

We got a friendly welcome on arrival at Acorn hotel, and found it to be clean, quiet, and a great location for visiting many tourist attractions around the City. The hotel is situated right by the beautiful Kelvin Grove Park with a fabulous Museum which has free entry. It is only 6 minutes walk from a bus stop for the city tour open topped bus which you can step on and off anywhere you like with your day ticket. And it is only 10 minutes walk to the train station that will take you up to Loch Lomond. We had a fantastic visit and I would very much recommend the Acorn Hotel as a great place to stay.
