The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay from check-in to check-out. Everything was well-organized, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. The food was good, with plenty of variety at the buffet and snack bar. The beach was clean, spacious, and perfect for relaxing or enjoying time with family. The pool and other facilities were also well-maintained. However, we would suggest adding more dedicated beach space specifically for resort guests to enhance comfort and privacy. We would like to give a special thank you to Ms. Adryana at the Reception Desk for her kind support and for ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. We were especially pleased to receive our room cards promptly upon arrival. Also, sincere thanks to Mr. Mohamed Adel, the restaurant waiter, for his outstanding service during every visit. His friendly and attentive manner truly stood out. We highly recommend this resort for families looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and well-located place to stay. 저희는 트리플룸을 예약했는데, 수영장 바로 앞에 있어서 위치가 정말 좋았어요. 저녁 쇼도 볼 수 있고, 어린이 놀이터도 있어요. 식사는 모두 포함되어 있었는데, 대부분 서양식 요리였지만, 이탈리아와 아시아 음식도 미리 주문할 수 있었어요. 아이들이 정말 신나게 놀았어요!

시설은 괜찮았어요. 객실부터 레스토랑, 해변, 수영장까지요. 다만 객실 침구류가 정말 거칠었어요. 보풀이 생긴 건지 원래 마 소재인지 모르겠지만, 따갑고 불편했습니다. 가장 심각했던 문제는 객실에 와이파이가 거의 안 터진다는 점이었어요. 공용 공간은 괜찮았지만, 이집트에 오실 때는 데이터를 넉넉하게 준비하시는 게 좋습니다. 하루에 최소 3~4기가바이트는 필요할 거예요. 저희는 하루 2기가바이트만 준비했는데, 객실에 와이파이가 안 될 거라고는 생각 못 해서 결국 데이터가 모자랐습니다. 레스토랑은 올 인클루시브로 아주 좋았어요. 아침 식사와 점심 식사는 바다 전망이 좋은 그릴 레스토랑을 추천하고, 저녁 식사는 두오모에서 다른 맛을 즐기거나, 번갈아 가며 먹어도 좋습니다. 야식도 있었는데 너무 늦게까지 기다리지 못해서 맛보지는 못했습니다. 레스토랑은 서양인들의 시간에 맞춰 저녁 식사가 늦게 시작되더라고요. 한 곳은 6시 반, 다른 한 곳은 7시였는데, 좀 늦은 감이 있었습니다. 해변과 수영장이 여러 개 있었지만 항상 사람들로 가득했어요. 아침 6시부터 서양인들이 나와서 자리를 맡고 하루 종일 쉬더라고요. 가장 큰 문제는 서비스였습니다. 정말 별로였어요. 이런 시설에 어울리지 않는 서비스였습니다. 체크인할 때 어떤 올 인클루시브 서비스를 누릴 수 있는지 명확하게 설명해주지 않았어요. 예를 들어, 타월 카드나 무료 레스토랑 종류 등은 말이죠. 레스토랑 정보나 시간도 직접 받은 종이를 보고 알아내야 했습니다. 짐을 방으로 가져다준 직원은 얼굴에 생기가 하나도 없었는데, 혹시 사장님이 월급을 삭감하는 건 아닌가 하는 생각이 들었습니다. 제 가방을 들고 위층까지 올라가줘서 20이집트 파운드를 줬습니다. 첫날 오후에 오르시스 바에서 아이스크림을 판다고 되어 있었는데, 가보니 고장 났다고 하더군요. 직원에게 고장 나면 어떻게 해야 하냐고 물으니 모른다고 했습니다. 그러면서 제가 그의 손에 들려 있는 게 뭔지 물어보니, 알려주지 않고 이건 무료가 아니라고만 말하더군요. 정말 어이가 없었습니다. 하지만 직원들이 서양인들을 더 좋아하는 것도 이해가 됩니다. 서양인들은 식사할 때, 올 인클루시브 레스토랑에서도 음식을 가져갈 때 팁을 주머니에 직접 넣어주더군요. 어쩔 수 없겠죠.

property, but service and logistics need improvement I have mixed feelings about our stay. On the positive side, the hotel is new and very well-designed. The restaurant is spacious with great indoor and outdoor seating, and the breakfast was decent. The beach is stunning—very quiet with crystal clear water—but be careful entering the sea as there are many rocks at the shoreline. However, there are several drawbacks: Service: The staff seems very inexperienced. We were charged to upgrade from a single to a double room even though the website listed them at the same price. At breakfast, we had to ask for coffee multiple times before it actually arrived. Facilities: Surprisingly, the main pool is not heated, and there is no elevator, which is worth noting if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. Location: You are quite isolated here. You definitely need a car or a shuttle to get anywhere. Overall, it’s a nice physical space, but the management needs to better train the staff to match the ”new” feel of the resort.

위치와 편의시설과의 근접성에 대한 모든 이야기가 사실입니다. 후르가다에서 얻을 수 있는 최고의 타협점입니다. 호텔 내 마리나는 해변에서 아주 가깝습니다. 모든 수상 및 야외 스포츠 액티비티는 마리나에서 바로 예약할 수 있습니다. 진정한 올 인클루시브 서비스라 먹고 마시는 데 지치실 겁니다. 객실은 낡고 비명을 지르는 듯합니다. 가구는 낡고 약해서 전자제품도 마찬가지입니다. 욕실 비누 디스펜서는 물이 새고, 욕실에는 개미가 가득하고, 방에는 바퀴벌레가 있습니다. 인터넷은 거의 제공되지 않습니다. 객실에 인터넷이 전혀 없으니 그 광고는 완전히 거짓입니다. 객실은 전면적인 수리가 필요합니다. 결론적으로, 예약하기 전에 더 잘 아셔야 합니다. 저는 여전히 이곳을 강력 추천합니다.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Stay at The Grand Hotel Hurghada (24/7 – 30/7) I had an absolutely wonderful stay at **The Grand Hotel Hurghada** from **July 24th to July 30th**, and I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the entire team for making our vacation truly memorable. The **food** was simply outstanding. The quality, taste, and unbelievable variety exceeded all expectations. Every meal offered something new and delicious, making dining one of the highlights of our stay. The **staff** deserve special recognition. Every single member of the team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. They were always smiling and genuinely happy to help, serving guests with dedication and pleasure. Their positive attitude made us feel at home from the very first day. A special thank you goes to **Mr. Nader** at the Reception. He is, without a doubt, one of the best hotel reception managers I have ever met. He is highly professional, courteous, and an excellent problem-solver. Any issue was handled quickly and efficiently, always with a smile. I would also like to thank **Mr. Mohamed Moawad** from the Food & Beverage Department. He is one of the finest professionals at the hotel—extremely humble, welcoming, respectful, and genuinely caring about the guests' comfort. Another person who deserves special praise is **Chef Mahmoud**. He is simply one of the best. His passion and dedication are reflected in the outstanding quality of the food served throughout the resort. The team at the **Eastern Restaurant** was exceptional. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. **Mostafa** and **Ashraf** and **Mohamed**deserve special recognition for their excellent service and kindness. Dining there was always a wonderful experience. The **Room Service** was also excellent. **Majed** is a kind-hearted gentleman who serves guests with genuine dedication, professionalism, and a cheerful attitude. His hard work did not go unnoticed. The **beach** is beautiful, sandy, clean, and perfect for families. There were always plenty of available sunbeds and enough space for everyone to relax comfortably without feeling crowded. The hotel offers a great selection of restaurants: * The International Restaurant next to the Reception. * The Pasta Restaurant on the second floor. * The Eastern Restaurant with its outdoor grill near the Reception. * The large white beach restaurant serving Shawarma, Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Pizza. * Another beach restaurant serving snacks and French fries. Every one of these restaurants offered excellent food and service. The only point I would suggest improving is the **swimming pool area**. The hotel has only one main pool, which is not enough considering the large number of guests staying at the resort. Overall, my family and I had an outstanding holiday. The excellent hospitality, delicious food, beautiful beach, and the genuine kindness of the staff made this one of our best vacations. I highly recommend **The Grand Hotel Hurghada** and look forward to returning again.

프라이빗 비치가 없어서 해변까지 한참 걸어가야 했어요. 조식은 정말 실망스러웠습니다. 머핀과 잼이 전부였고, 그나마 삶은 달걀이 먹을 만했네요. 하지만 다행히 호텔에서 몇 백 미터 거리에 'Al mustafa fish restaurant'이라는 작은 식당이 있었어요. 거기 해산물 요리는 맛있고 가격도 저렴했죠. 이 덕분에 식사 문제는 꽤 쉽게 해결할 수 있었습니다.
