The basement can not be accessed from the interior of the home. We have a lovely couple that resides part time in the separated basement of this home. They frequently travel for work and reside here a few weeks in the month. They cannot enter the house you will be occupying and you cannot enter the space they live. The house has a generator and the latest tankless heat water system, never have fear of being without electricity and always have hot water during your stay.Blender & Keurig-style coffee maker with starter pods and tea is provided for all stays. Fireplaces have all been closed for safety. A past incident left the entire house filled with smoke because the chimney damper was not opened when a fire was started. We have since closed access to the fireplaces at the property.The gardens are absolutely lovely and instagram worthy with benches and well manicured pine trees for a peaceful evening after a long day exploring the city.Animal-free zone: This house is an animal-free zone as the host’s elderly mother & caretaker are both asthmatic and highly allergic. We have found deep cleanings are still not able to fully rid the house of animal dander after an animal has stayed.
