We had an enjoyable stay in the Creta Marine in mid-October. Hotel 4/5 - We found the hotel to be generally very nice, it's big and the grounds merge seamlessly with the next door Iberostar Panorama hotel, giving it an even bigger feel. There's a mixture of large apartment blocks and a really nice village feel to the various Bungalows, helped by the well manicured grounds throughout. That said although some of the hotel has been modernised, some areas feel a little tired, the main pool area, and the gym in particular were a let down. We arrived late (thanks EasyJet), so check-in was a breeze, but there weren't any refreshments available, which would have been nice given we'd missed dinner. Location 4/5 - situated in a remote part of the island, there's nothing nearby other than a small shop, and the transfer time (coach) was ~2 hours from Chania Airport. However, it's in a really beautiful spot with multiple private protected coves/beaches, ideal for swimming/snorkeling. Rooms 3/5 - we stayed in the Bungalows, which are situated in a great location, especially the Waterfront ones, although the decor and bathrooms are in need of a total refresh. You do get a free mini bar, with beer, water, soft drinks and a bottle of red wine, which was nice, but this isn't refreshed. Food/Drink 4/5 - We found the food to be generally very tasty with plenty of choices. The drinks were good too, mainly local brands although some international brands were available on All Inclusive, and others at a charge. That said, a major downside was even when you asked for an international brand (e.g. Bacardi), the bar staff would more often than not substitute it for a local brand, which was disappointing, as it felt like you had to argue for what you wanted every time! Entertainment 4/5 - The poolside team worked really hard, and although we didn't get too involved, everyone that did seemed to have fun. We mainly stayed in the Bar area in the evening, and there was some really good singers/bands, more of that please! Guests 3/5 - The guests on the whole were pleasant, with ~90% being German when we stayed, and the rest made up of English/French/Portuguese/Danish etc, which was fine for us, maybe not if you have kids? However, there were multiple occasions of rudeness, pushing in and generally selfish behaviour from some of the older German guests, which was a shame, clearly not the Hotels fault at all - but something to expect/be aware of if booking this hotel. Conclusion 4/5 - Would we go back? Absolutely, we loved our stay, and I expect most of the improvement areas I've highlighted can/will be addressed by the hotel.

Amazing! Everything was lovely from start to finish. The staff were so lovely- very helpful and accommodating, and the rooms were lovely and clean. The food buffets were decent, especially compared to some all inclusive hotels, and always left you satisfied and full. We also booked on with the on site restaurant (which is included in the all inclusive) and I would rate it an 8/10. Although we never went to any shows, the animation team that stayed round the pool were hilarious and always made the time to talk to you and wish you a good morning. There are 3 different pools (one with a swim-up bar) you can go to and we never struggled to get a sunbed (however, we did go at the end of October) and there are lots of facilities and activities onsite to keep you entertained. There is a little private beach for the hotel occupants with a bar to accompany (however this bar is not included with the all inclusive). There is also water sports down the road who were also very nice and we managed to rent our own private boat for an hour for €75. I would also recommend the Little Train Tours with Michalis. We enjoyed every second with him and did both tours we liked it that much! All in all I would 100% recommend this hotel! The only thing that knocked it down for me was the safe was €3 a night and this was not stated when we booked- especially when we got an unexpected tourist tax on arrival too. Also, even though we did get a view of the sea (slightly) this was covered mostly by trees so little hit disappointing that we paid extra for this. It should have been advertised as sea facing.

솔로 여행자. 4 월 / 5 월. 2/3 밤. 2 층. 1 페르 룸. 2 개인 침대. 방송이 많은 TV. 자신을 위해 차 한 잔을 놓고 책상에 가족 및 친구에게 카드를 쓰거나 작지만 멋진 발코니에 가서 즐길 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다. 안정적인 매트리스 고급 주방. 필요한 경우 상자에 추가 덮개가 있습니다. 모든 물건을 잃을 수 있는 넓은 상자. 금고와 냉장고가 있습니다. 문을 나가기 전에 자신을 감탄할 수 있는 긴 거울. 어두운 커튼. 멋진 욕실, 고급 샤워 시설, 샴푸 및 비누. 청소를 열심히 하는 사람들이 방을 깨끗하게 유지합니다. 아침 식사는 광범위하고 맛있습니다. 리셉션의 직원은 친절하고 도움이됩니다. 주방 직원과 서비스도 매우 친절하고 도움이됩니다. 수영장이 있습니다. 하지만 4월이라 만석이 되지 않았습니다. 피트니스 룸은 그것을 사용할 시간이 없었습니다. 옷을 씻을 수도 있습니다. 도보 거리에 있는 Rethimno 센터/구시가지. 주변 지역의 많은 상점과 음식 시설. 나는이 호텔에 머무르는 것이 좋습니다.

호텔은 아름다운 정원이 있는 항구에서 도보로 30분 거리에 있는 해변에 위치해 있습니다. 직원들은 유쾌하고 웃고 있지만 이 수준의 호텔 수준은 아닙니다. 집안은 방에서 잘 수행되지 않았고 종종 병원에서 수정을 요구해야 했습니다. 스위트룸에 추가요금을 지불한 것이 유감이지만 클래식룸뷰 바다전망이 훨씬 더 아름답고 클래식룸의 시설이 더 좋았습니다. 서 있는 시설이 젖은 옷을 내 테라스에 넣는 것은 그리 어렵지 않았습니다. 화장실에서 건조하기 위해 사업을 넣을 태블릿이 없습니다. 드레싱 상자에서처럼 옷을 넣을 수는 없었습니다. 바닥으로 사용할 수있는 빈 공간이 많이있는 동안 책상에 남겨 두어야했습니다.  이것은 정상이 아닙니다. 자동차 서비스는 훌륭합니다. 전반적으로 나는 나의 체재에 만족하지만 가격이 높고 혜택이 반드시 그 수준에 있지 않기 때문에 조심해야합니다. 

We stayed here with friends for a week. This hotel is definitely not a five star hotel, more like a three star. I would like to make others aware that on check in you are expected to pay a 10 Euro a night tax, we were unaware of this. I did see signs on the check in desk stating that this charge is to be paid on check in, however none of the signs were in English!. All of the staff we met during the week were really nice, some of the names I remember are Regina, Kostas and Sofia. Our room was very spacious ( superior room) with a fridge, kettle, flat screen TV, full size ironing board with iron and a very comfortable bed. Our bathroom was great too, we had a shower cubicle and a separate bath. Plus a lovely balcony to sit out on. The whole area in which the hotel is located is very scenic and really quiet. The hotel itself is spotless, there were always staff cleaning, even late in to the night. The pools are very cold, we only used the main pool at the top of the complex and the little pool at the bottom. We did not use the spa or the gym which you have to pay for, so cannot comment on that. There were a few negatives which I will point out. Firstly the alcoholic drinks, these are awful. The beer is terrible and the cocktails were bad too. They use cheap shorts to make them, not branded alcohol such as Smirnoff etc. There is a happy hour between 4pm and 5pm where you can purchase cocktails, they were 5 Euro each. There is a little shop on the site where you can buy typical essentials, this shop also sells beer ( Mythos, Alpha etc) in cans in case you want a proper Greek beer. Now on to the food in the main dining area. I am not a fussy person and I will eat practically anything. But even I found it hard to find something nice to eat most days and nights. The food is typical mass produced catering. There was always fish, chicken etc. One night there was pork chops, they were very nice apparently, I didnt eat them. Chips are always available, even at breakfast time. They were always cold. There is a microwave oven to use if your food was cold. Coffee and tea are available, filter coffee too. Freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning, which was really nice. I had an issue with the fact that none of the food had any labels stating what ingredients the food contained. Not good if anyone has allergies. This was brought to the attention of the restaurant manager by myself and my friend, and the very next night there were labels on the desert section. However they were not there the next night. We hired a car for the week so didnt use the hotel shuttle bus to Bali beach. This hotel could be the 5 star it claims to be if they made a few changes. The majority of the other hotel guests were lovely but there were a few , quite rowdy people who, somehow, managed to get very drunk on the rubbish drinks. Evening entertainment was poor, there was a clown ( who was searching for children), a magician and some Greek dancers. I would not stay here again.

Fantastic hotel. The staff here (especially the staff who run the bar ) are fanstastic - we couldnt fault them at all. Friendly, attentive, polite - just lovely. Pool - lovely sized pool , very clean , beds all in very good condition (no plastic / broken beds at all) and generally was one umbrella for every 2 beds. This was the first hotel ive stayed in where you didnt have to get up at the crack of dawn to get a bed - if you did this and did not use your bed for hours then staff would remove towels . Staff will take your drinks orders while you sunbathe and then bring them over to you and take away any empty glasses etc - so the poolside was always very clean. lots of sofas . chairs & tables, to sit at round the pool - some in sun and some in the shade so something for everyone. The bar also was very comfortable to sit in if you wanted to get our of the sun. Upstairs seating area also available - very beutifully lit at night so was a lovely area to sit in for drinks in the eveninig. Again table service for drinks made for very chilled evenings. Rooms were fantastic. Beds very comfortable and rooms cleaned every day unless you didnt want them to . Bathrooms were modern and clean with plenty of towels and toiletries. Food was superb. Staff always happy to get you a table wherever you wanted to sit - again drinks orders were taken and brought to your table. Food always plentiful and very well labelled. Huge range of dishes. Beach is less that 5 minutes away - Popeye watersports is on the beach and were very good. Old town is 20-30 minute walk depending on where you wanted to get to. Would highly recommend this hotel - fantastic staff and hotel - would definately return.
