This really is a 10/10 place. My husband and my favourite place we’ve stayed, this trip to Thailand. We’ve already decided we want to come back, with friends, next time. We wanted a place to cut our drive to Bangkok and had no idea Sarat Thani and the surrounding area had so much to offer. Mr. Pongsak, the owner, could not be more lovely. He is so thoughtful and invested in making sure everyone who stays has the best experience and shares his knowledge of the area and all the things there are to do and see. We drove a rented car, and found it sooooo peaceful and relaxing to be there. And so close to get to town, markets and lots of yummy foods. We cannot wait to share this gem with friends and try the other cabins. The pond with all its fish is a gorgeous water feature too. They opened in 2025 and are building a third cabin. They are modern and still so charming and relaxing. Cannot wait til we can return on our next trip. My only concern is that it is such a great spot and is going to be so popular, we will need to book well in advance next time! Thank you for everything. See you next time, Mr. Pongsak and family.

Review – CBD Hotel, Surat Thani “In the center of Surat Thani, where crossroads pulse with traffic and neon flickers like tired stars, stands CBD Hotel—a place that waits for travelers who are always on their way somewhere else. Around it, the city breathes commerce: food stalls, markets, bus stations. From here, you can walk to the Seatrans bus terminal, and soon after find yourself boarding a ferry to Koh Samui or Koh Phangan. You can wander to the agricultural market, where local trucks carry passengers to Phunphin railway station. Every path from this corner leads somewhere further, as if the city itself is designed for departures. Parking, often a worry in the center of a restless town, is solved here. Behind the hotel, a wide lot waits—easy to enter, easy to leave, as if movement were always part of the plan. The lobby never sleeps. Staff at the desk watch the night pass with quiet patience. A small elevator, unassuming, carries you to rooms that are wide and clean. At the entrance, a wardrobe stands for shirts, bags, forgotten stories. The window is large—generous with light in the day, but not always generous with silence. If your room faces the street, the sound of passing cars may slip through. Yet by night, the city softens. The roads empty, and stillness returns, like an old friend. The bathroom is spacious, the water strong and insistent. Not new, but cared for, like something that understands its role. The bed is soft, the air conditioner steady, the space around it wide enough that you never feel trapped. This is a hotel for pauses, not destinations. I spent my last 8 nights in Thailand in the Regent Hotel as I just wanted to chillax after 2 months travelling! I loved my time there. The staff are extremely helpful and Google translate is great for communication. My room was HUGE! The Air Con was excellent (Rm304)! The bathroom had a wall separating the toilet from the shower and that was great! The electric shower was perfect. The cleaning staff work hard. The gardener is constantly on the go and keeps the outside area spotlessly clean. Well done to him. The wardrobe space was super and storeage was great also. My only complaint (and that’s for every hotel room in Thailand) is the lack of double glazing to keep out the noise from the main rosd traffic. Otherwise everything was great in the hotel Thank you.

There was a cockroach in the sink trying to escape. The pipe is not close but leads to the shower evacuation. The lift doesn't go to the second floor. It smells cigarettes in the corridor. I could hear the traffic during the afternoon. I couldn't close the door of the bathroom from the outside as there was no handle.

Bear and Bird Hotel: A Budget-Friendly Stay with Room for Improvement The Bear and Bird Hotel in Surat Thani offers good value for money in a central yet quiet location. However, as a newly opened establishment, the hotel is still a work in progress. Some guests have noted musty smells in standard rooms and dated or problematic bathrooms. Despite these quirks, if you're looking for an affordable base in Surat Thani and can overlook some minor imperfections, the Bear and Bird Hotel could be a suitable choice.

The pool is beautiful, makes you feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The hotel is a little unloved/dated but the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. Aside from a Lotus shopping mall across the road and a bigger Central Plaza Mall five mins drive away there isn’t really much else around but as we were only here for one night before a transfer to Khao Sok it was fine and at £17 a night couldn’t really complain. Found an amazing restaurant a couple of minutes walk away and sat outside and had ‘hot pot’ with some local residents. The breakfast was the only downside, the food was left uncovered so it was cold and had flies around it.

위치도 좋고, 병원 바로 옆이라 먹거리 찾기도 쉽습니다. 아침에 차가 많아서 히치하이킹 할 수 있는 주차공간이 있어요 방은 괜찮고 V에 침대는 푹신하고 에어컨은 시원하지만 206호실 싱크대가 고장나고 수도관이 막혔어요1 . 나머지는 다 맛있어요. 신선한 커피도 있어요.
