'A traditional hotel approx half an hour walk to the Old Town but with steep hill so might not suit older person to walk. Room was spacious with large balcony and had fabulous views of the sea and garden. Room cleaned daily, very comfortable bed & lovely hot shower. Continental breakfast, had to eat inside as there were pigeons on the patio. Joes bar on the premises & an English bar across the road. Got the airport bus, €6.50 each & got off at stop 10. Would stay here again.'

'Loved this hotel and room 611 was perfect in every way. The view was stunning and the room was a wonderful size. The beds were comfortable and staff were very helpful.'

'The dining room -I was there for the breakfast- is an old one, not so inviting. The breakfast-selection is not so good, as a vegan or vegetarian you can't choose much (only beans & bread), the coffee is okay but not tasty, the juices are not fresh & sugary. There is no big pot for cooking, for two persons it would be good to have one. The bed is good, the fan does its job, the bathroom is big enough, the balcony practical. The location is near to the busline, 30min to walk to the center & there is the Lido promenade (with some places to swim) to the next small city with a small light tunnel for pedestrians, there you can hear/see the surf :) The opening times for the pool are too late in the morning and too short (8.00-20.00). The female staff at the reception with the glasses (saturday evening), didn't manage my wake-up-call for the next morning (the staff at this day showed me that he had no notice for a call), thats not a good one, because sometimes you have to depend on it.'

'The swimming pool was cold, there was no toothpaste , no electric kettle in the room, no complimentary water, the room was outdated, the shower was very old and difficult to use, in all honesty this hotel room was a 2 star at best. The reception area was indeed a 5 star and that was it.'

'방 컨디션도 괜찮았고, 오션뷰 객실이었어요. 넓은 발코니가 있었는데, 경치는 말할 것도 없이 환상적이었어요. 호텔에서 보는 바다 풍경 또한 정말 압도적으로 아름다웠습니다. 강력 추천해요! 호텔에서 내려와 조금만 걸으면 바로 야시장이 있어서, 마치 중국 베이다이허(北戴河)와 비슷한 느낌이었어요. ㅋㅋㅋ'

'Sehr schön in einer Gartenanlage gelegenes Haus im Retroambiente, eigentlich Ideal zum Abschalten. Großes Zimmer, sauber, alles da, was man braucht. Mit Parkplätzen könnte es bei voller Belegung eng werden. Zufahrt könnte besser ausgeschildert sein. Fussläufig zur Sailbahnstation. Frühstück ok, Personal sehr freundlich. Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Alles in allem gab es hier nichts zu meckern. Mich wundern die negativen Kommentare. Ach ja, die Liste mit den Hausregeln: Zum einen kann man fast schon lachen, zum anderen wird es Gründe geben, so etwas auszulegen. Unglaublich, was sich Gäste manchmal herausnehmen ...'

'Cleaned every day, good breakfast, great location (hotels part of Funchal, but also walkable to centre), lots of restaurants and shops around, bus stop right outside, pleasant and helpful staff, well maintained pool, pool towels provided. Only con - old hairdryer, so it gets very hot and smells burnt. Also no iron.'
