'The front desk is extremely friendly and professional, making you feel treated equally and very comfortable. I’ll definitely return because of the front desk’s attitude. Additionally, the hotel is pet-friendly, and if you notify them in advance, they provide dog beds and bowls. There are also gardens where you can take your dog for a walk, and there are designated areas to dine with your pet, making it all very convenient and enjoyable. Moreover, the toilets feature underfloor heating, which makes for a most comfortable experience during the winter months!

'A map of york would have been helpful. And we had to use the body wash for hand washing. Otherwise perfect. All the staff were excellent. Friendly and smiley.'

'Good - polite and helpful front desk staff. Location very near to York station useful for those with luggage Clean bed. Dislike - loud and irritating extractor fan in bathroom that turns on whenever you turn on the bathroom lights. No floor towel provided to dry your feet after shower. No facial tissue box provided. Very slow WiFi + York town very poor coverage for Three 3 network. Conclusion - best for 1 night stay only'

'If you’re in York a great place to stay and worth the extra cost for what you get.'

'We were very disappointed with the check-in experience. The hotel assigned us rooms in a wing where the air conditioning was not working. It appeared that the staff were already aware of the problem, as my friends and I seemed to be the only guests staying in that entire wing. Unfortunately, this happened during a heatwave, making the rooms unbearably hot and very uncomfortable. I had to walk back to reception to request a room change. The staff initially offered to bring us a fan and said the hotel was fully booked, but that was not an acceptable solution in such extreme temperatures. After I insisted, my friends and I were finally moved to rooms with working air conditioning. What made the situation even more confusing was that guests who checked in after us were assigned rooms on other floors with functioning air conditioning. That left us wondering why we had been placed in rooms with a known problem in the first place. Guests should never be checked into rooms with a major maintenance issue like this, especially during a heatwave. While we appreciated that the hotel eventually moved us, the whole experience left us with serious doubts about how room allocations were handled —- is it because i booked via Trip.com ?'
