The Selimiye Mosque, the largest mosque in Cyprus, was built during the occupation of the Ottoman Empire at that time and has a history of more than 600 years. The buildings are very similar to the existing mosques in Turkey. The huge dome and several tall towers are very spectacular. It is a landmark building in Nicosia and must be one of the attractions.

Nicosia-Selimiye Mosque is the most important scenic spot in Turkey-occupied Northern Cyprus. It is magnificent and respectable. It was built in 1209-1326 and was originally a Frankish cathedral.

The Sirimiye Mosque complex also includes Islamic schools, an indoor market, guard rooms, outdoors and libraries. The mosque uses Iznick's ceramic tiles from its peak as interior materials, representing the highest achievement of the art form created by this ceramic tiles that no one has ever surpassed. The Selimiye Mosque complex is also considered as a group of buildings built around the mosque during the Ottoman period of Kuriye (k 252; lliye).

Mosque exists in every country, but the building of this mosque is very peculiar. The four pillars around it are very high and concave in the middle. I don't know what they mean.

During the reign of the Ottoman Empire, every city in Cyprus built many Turkish bathrooms, the most famous of which was the Buyukhan capital of Nicosia. The 400-year-old bathhouse is still open. Next to the bathhouse is the Buyukhan Hotel, formerly used for the rest of the princes and nobles who worshipped at the Selimiye Mosque. Although it is still called the Grand Hotel, it has been opened into restaurants and markets, and no guests are allowed to stay.
