새로 오픈한 호텔이라 깨끗하지만, 대로변에 위치해 있어 쉴 새 없이 달리는 자동차 소리와 경적소리가 너무 시끄럽습니다. 아주 분명 늦은 밤에.. 마음이 너무 아파서 밤새 잠도 못 자고 너무 괴로웠어요! 원래 2박 예약했는데 1박만 더 묵으면 심장에 문제가 생길까봐 다음날 아침 6시에 체크아웃 논의하러 갔더니 씨트립을 찾아서 체크아웃 하기로 했답니다! 이 B&B에는 아침 식사가 포함되어 있지 않기 때문에 체크인할 때 아침 식사를 예약했습니다. 아침 식사 2회, 달걀 팬케이크 2개, 과일 2접시, 빵과 잼 몇 조각, 음료 없음, 커피 없음에 대해 추가 비용을 지불했습니다. 비용은 4,200루피입니다. .이 가격이 왜 이렇게 비싼지 모르겠어요. ? 하루를 취소했기 때문인가요? 아니면 아침 식사 가격이 너무 불합리한가요?
그리고 웨이터들의 태도는 꽤 좋았으나 이 B&B의 위치와 아침식사는 정말 추천하지 않습니다!

It was a wonderful two nights to stay here because of atmosphere and stuffs. Stuffs were helpful and amazing. The room was perfect and clean. Also the rooftop was a lovely and beautiful view. I highly recommend it to stay here.

씨트립에 따르면 이 호텔은 최근에 리모델링을 했고(벽이 새로 칠해졌을 수도 있고, 다른 시설이 낡았을 수도 있음), 풍경도 좋고(사진에서 보듯이), 사자바위와도 매우 가까워서 꼭 가고 싶었어요. 사자바위 등반 후 푹 쉬다 가셔서 선택했어요. 방 2개를 예약했는데 체크인할 때 그 중 한 개는 예약이 없다고 하더군요. 결국 해결되었지만 경험은 정말 좋지 않았습니다. 호텔의 청결도와 케이터링이 상당히 실망스러워서 추천하고 싶지 않습니다.

房間新裝修的，很不錯。我們住在二樓，當時沒有其他預訂，我們享用整個二層的空間。二樓很大的客廳和很大的陽台。房子周圍的環境也很好。老闆看起來也很憨厚老實。入住的安全問題不用擔心。唯一缺點可能是，房間在山上村裡，不在鬧市區，但是可以用uber。

We loved this hotel to the point we would return to Kandy to stay here again! The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional, the hotel and rooms were all clean and well maintained and the food at both dinner and breakfast was delicous. Overall we loved out stay here and wish we could have stayed longer.
*we also bought some jewelry from the shop in the hotel which was good too.

Forest View Villa에서의 즐거운 숙박이었습니다. 음식은 맛있었고 특히 아침 식사로 롤 팬케이크와 놀라운 전망이었습니다. 이 곳을 적극 추천합니다.
Kandy와 Ella 사이의 기차 연결이 아직 작동하지 않기 때문에(2026년 2월 말) 12월 25일의 치명적인 사이클론으로 인해 호스트에게 운전을 요청하는 것을 고려할 수 있습니다. 버스를 3번 갈아타는 것보다 덜 스트레스가 있을 수 있습니다.

Месторасположение отличное, вилла находится в достаточно дорогом районе на холме, единственный минус - тяжело добираться пешком, крутая горка. Персонал очень дружелюбный и вежливый, все показали, рассказали, хозяин был на связи. В конце даже проводили до автобусной остановки и показали отличный вид с крыши дома. К номеру тоже никаких вопросов, свет и горячая вода были, единственное - слабый WiFi непосредственно в номере, но это мелочь

아름다운 경치와 넓은 객실을 갖춘 정원 스타일의 호텔입니다. 호텔에 도착하면 환영 행사도 있습니다. 호텔에 숙박하는 사람이 많지 않습니다. 가장 웃긴 것은 로비에서 방까지 병차가 길을 부드럽게 통과하지 못한다는 것입니다. 그 당시 디자인은 사려깊지 않았습니다. 전반적인 느낌은이 호텔이 지역에서 비교적 고급 호텔이며 모든면에서 좋지만 팁을 조금 더주는 것을 잊지 마십시오. 그렇지 않으면 얼굴을 흔들고 보여줄 수 있습니다.

CcnphoebeAn exceptional stay at a lovely hotel. Great pool, fantastic views and really good dinner buffet which was fairly priced! It is quite out of the way - 20 minutes out of town and not walkable - but this is necessary for some unrivalled views, the best in Kandy!

However, it is too fat away from Kandy city center, you have to pay 1500+ rp for each ride, and most tuk tuk drivers don't prefer to go to this place. The google map shows wrong way and the team knew about this, but informed us just on the day of arrival, making this journey even harder.

리리뷰어A Hidden Gem – Perfect Honeymoon or Quiet Getaway
This place is truly a hidden gem. It was the perfect spot for a honeymoon couple or anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway.
Travel tip: From Colombo, you can catch a direct bus to Nuwalapitiya. We didn’t know this and went via Kandy, which made the journey longer than necessary. If we had known, we would have taken the direct bus—it’s much easier.
Ps:The bus ride is phenomenal—very beautiful views along the way and very cheap.
The property is located on a hill and is naturally beautiful, surrounded by trees and birds whose songs make the atmosphere even more serene. It does get a bit cold at night, but it was the perfect kind of chilly—cozy and refreshing.
Our room had an amazing view, making it even more special. The stay itself was perfect for our honeymoon: very cozy, comfortable, and clean.
The staff were amazing, especially one gentleman at the restaurant (I didn’t catch his name, but I want to mention him). He went above and beyond to help us and was incredibly sweet and warm-hearted—it really made our stay special.
A small note: we noticed the pool looked a bit dirty, which some other reviews also mentioned. However, it was clarified in the pool area that they use natural spring water without chemicals, so this is expected and actually a great eco-friendly approach. But This hotel needs some love because this is a very nice place.
Another small note: there were some insects, like cockroaches, but that’s expected when staying on a hill in the middle of nature surrounded by trees.
Overall, this was a truly wonderful experience and a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!!

The standout feature of The Coffee Bungalow is undoubtedly its staff, particularly Adrian, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel well cared for. The food was another highlight—delicious and thoughtfully prepared. A particularly nice touch was when they packed us a complimentary to-go lunch for our train journey out of Kandy, which was a pleasant and unexpected gesture.
The Bad
The lack of air conditioning was a notable downside, especially given Kandy’s humidity. While the property has a charming colonial feel, the absence of a solid door between the bedroom and bathroom was an odd design choice. Although the toilet and shower do have louvered doors, privacy is somewhat compromised. Another issue was the challenging entry system—we found ourselves locked out one night, which was frustrating and inconvenient.
The Ugly
Unfortunately, the biggest drawback was the ant problem. While some level of bugs is to be expected in a tropical setting, the sheer number of ants, particularly in the bathroom but also in the bedroom, was hard to ignore. It definitely impacted our overall comfort.
Overall, The Coffee Bungalow has a lot of charm and some truly wonderful hospitality, but there are a few quirks and inconveniences that might not suit every traveler. If you’re prepared for a bit of rustic charm and can handle the lack of AC and privacy, the warm service and great food may make up for the downsides.

MMtngSeerock The King’s Domain offers an impressive stay with super spacious rooms, a beautiful outdoor environment, and excellent service. The only downside—though not the hotel’s fault—is the occasional wild peacock screaming at night, which might disrupt light sleepers. Otherwise, a fantastic getaway for nature lovers.

리리뷰어The owners and employees at this hotel are so, so lovely.
Unfortunately their hotel is not. I almost feel catfished as many of the photos highlighted the bar and pool party atmosphere. This was not the case - the pool was a decent size but in the shade and I actually didn’t see anyone in it. The pool party drinking shots I highly suspect were perhaps not a genuine source.
The same goes for the bar which is massive and attended to by several lovely young, bored gentlemen as both times I popped up (once for dinner) I was the only patron. Again no party atmosphere or even people - which is a shame as it is a big venue.
Fortunately next door was another venue for some decent cocktails and music which saved the boredom somewhat.
The bedroom was a decent size with a small fridge (but didn’t work), the bathroom was small, felt dirty, no hand soap or soap for the shower (apart from leftover previous occupants - and that was gross).
The pressure was poor making showering difficult and there was plaster on the floor from some damage - not cleaned up.
The bed was massive and comfortable with air conditioning and a fan so sleep was good.
Finally, and to repeat, the staff were lovely. Very hospitable and the location is about a ten minute walk to the Sacred Tooth Temple and Kandy Lake. So great location.
Would I stay there again - no. Would I pop in to say hello to the owners and next door for a cocktails - possibly!
