This place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

남자친구랑 같이 푸저우 여행 왔다가 이 호텔을 선택했는데, 생각보다 너무 좋았어요! 먹을 곳도 바로 아래층에 많아서 편했고, 저희는 아래층에 있는 쉬타이뉴랑 톈볜추에 가서 먹었는데 다 맛있었어요😋. 호텔 서비스도 좋았고, 저희가 여행 온 걸 아시고는 관광지에 어떻게 가면 편한지 친절하게 알려주셨어요. 호텔에는 관광지 스탬프 찍는 엽서도 있었는데 🎑, 정말 예뻤어요!

I can’t say enough good things about my stay at this incredible homestay on Dongshan Island—it’s hands down one of the best accommodation experiences I’ve ever had, and I’m already counting down the days until I can come back. From the breathtaking sea views to the thoughtful, attentive service, every single detail made my trip unforgettable, and I’m so glad I chose this homestay for my island getaway. First and foremost, the seaview here is absolutely stunning, beyond anything I could have imagined. The homestay boasts an unbeatable location with unobstructed views of the endless blue sea, and I spent every spare moment just admiring the ocean, both morning and night. Waking up early to watch the soft golden sunrise glisten over the water, with gentle waves lapping against the shore, was the most peaceful way to start each day. As the sun set, the sky painted itself in warm hues of orange and pink, reflecting beautifully on the sea, creating a romantic and serene scene that took my breath away. Even at night, the quiet glow of the moon on the water and the soft sound of waves made the view just as magical. I took countless beautiful photos during my stay, and every snapshot perfectly captures the mesmerizing beauty of this place—no filter could ever do the real scenery justice. What surprised me most is that the homestay is even more beautiful in person than the online photos. When I booked the room online, the pictures looked lovely, but I didn’t expect the actual space to exceed my expectations by such a large margin. The interior is cozy, clean, and tastefully decorated, with large windows that frame the sea like a living painting. Every corner of the homestay is well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The layout is designed to maximize the seaview, so no matter where you are—whether it’s the bedroom, the living area, or the small terrace—you can always feast your eyes on the gorgeous ocean scenery. It’s clear that the host put a lot of love and care into creating this wonderful space. The service here is incredibly thoughtful and attentive, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The host and all the staff are friendly, warm, and always ready to help with any needs or questions I had. They were quick to respond to messages, offered useful tips for exploring Dongshan Island, and went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and their genuine hospitality made me feel valued and cared for throughout my trip. Unlike many other accommodations where service feels impersonal, this homestay’s service is heartfelt and dedicated, adding an extra layer of warmth to the entire experience. I’ve traveled to many coastal destinations, but this homestay on Dongshan Island stands out as a true gem. The combination of picture-perfect sea views, stunning in-person beauty, and top-notch, thoughtful service is simply unbeatable. I left with so many wonderful memories and a heart full of joy, and I will definitely come back again and stay here on my next visit to Dongshan Island. 호텔 체크인 시 직원분들이 매우 친절하고 세심하게 응대해 주셨고, 샤먼 특산품인 녹두 페이스트리도 선물로 주셨는데 맛이 정말 좋았습니다. 객실은 깔끔하고 깨끗했으며, 가족 객실은 매우 아늑하게 디자인되어 있었습니다. 호텔에는 거대한 수영장이 있었고, 조식도 매우 풍성하고 맛있었습니다.

복도에서 풍기는 차 향이 너무 좋았고, 세심한 디자인이 돋보였습니다! 이곳에 머무는 동안, 서비스에서 느껴지는 자연스러운 친절함이 가장 인상 깊었습니다. 직원들의 부드러운 말투와 집중하는 눈빛은 제가 진심으로 경청 받고 있다는 느낌을 주었습니다. 무료 주차장이 바로 옆에 있어 출입이 편리하고, 밤에도 조명이 충분했습니다. 객실 위생은 완벽하게 관리되어 있었고, 침구에서는 햇살 같은 상쾌함이 느껴졌으며, 욕실은 건조하고 냄새가 없었습니다. 서비스와 청결이 함께 편안한 분위기를 만들어냈고, 과도한 친절함에 대한 부담 없이 딱 알맞은 따뜻함만이 있어 머무는 내내 매우 편안했습니다.

시설 : 오션 볼, 슬라이드, 욕조, 비밀 기지가 필요한 어린이 요구 사항을 완전히 충족하며 어린이는 즐거운 시간을 보냅니다. 서비스 측면에서 : 호텔은 또한 반응이 좋으며 모든 요구 사항은 처음으로 해결됩니다. 위생상태도 좋고, 더러운 곳도 발견되지 않았습니다. 위치 : 호텔 옆에 스낵 거리가있어 식사하기 편리합니다. 해변에서 도보로 5 분 거리에있는 황 푸 해변은 샤먼에서 비교적 깨끗한 해변이며 다른 해변은 직접 볼 수 없습니다. 호텔의 해변 위치는 일출 체크인 지점에 불과하지만 불행히도 이틀 동안 날씨가 좋지 않아 일출을 보지 못했습니다. 밤에는 해변에서 술을 마시고 노래하는 상인도있어 매우 활기차다. 일반적으로 경험은 매우 좋습니다. 밖 거리는 비교적 낡았지만 호텔의 잘못은 아닙니다. 호텔은 여전히 매우 좋습니다! 작은 제안을 하자면, 옷을 말릴 수 있는 환기가 잘 되는 곳이 있어야 합니다.

체크인 경험이 정말 좋았어요! 체크인하러 갔을 때 방이 아직 준비되지 않아서, 프런트 직원이 짐을 로비에 두면 나중에 방으로 가져다준다고 했어요. 돌아와 보니 짐이 아직 로비에 있어서 처음에는 좀 불만스러웠어요. 하지만 호텔의 다음 대응과 처리가 정말 전문적이었어요. 카드 키를 받을 때 주 매니저님이 직접 오셔서 사과하셨어요. 본인의 잘못은 아니었지만, 그는 아주 세심하게 설명해주고 조식 쿠폰으로 보상해주겠다고 했어요. 제가 비행기가 일러서 먹을 시간이 없다고 하자, 주 매니저님은 즉시 미리 포장해줄 수 있다고 하셨어요. 제가 번거로울 것 같아 사양했지만, 53층 이그제큐티브 라운지에 관심이 있다고 말하자, 주 매니저님은 라운지를 이용할 수 있도록 카드 키를 업그레이드해주셨어요. 유연한 대처와 인간적인 면모가 돋보였습니다. 다음 푸저우 방문 시에는 꼭 다시 여기에 묵을 거예요! 방도 좋고 야경도 최고였어요. 얼음통을 두 번 불렀는데도 바로 가져다주셔서 서비스도 세심했고, 라운지도 사진 찍기 정말 좋았어요. 다들 와서 경험해보세요!

오픈한지 거의 1년이 되었다고 들었습니다. 방이 아주 새것이라 방음도 매우 좋습니다. 잠잘때 소음이 제일 두려운데 여기 방 장식이 아주 좋습니다. 프론트 서비스가 정말 좋습니다. 도착하자마자 친절하게 차를 부어주고 체크아웃을 해준 뒤 경비원이 주차장까지 짐을 옮겨주는 것도 도와줬어요. 정말 좋고 적극 추천합니다.

하이러신에 꼭 다시 올 거예요! 동산도 여행은 즉흥적이었지만, 정말 멋진 사람들을 만났어요. 원래 이틀만 머물 계획이었는데 분위기가 너무 좋아서 나흘이나 있었답니다! 친구들에게 하이러신에서 보낸 며칠이 대학 1학년 학기 전체보다 훨씬 더 알찼다고 말했어요. 매일 우리를 ”자매님”이라고 부르며 다양한 활동을 기획하고 일출도 보러 데려가 주신 활기 넘치는 예 사장님, 수영과 키보드 반주를 가르쳐 주신 판 원장님, 수영도 같이 하고 마사지도 해주신 주방장님, 해변 산책도 시켜주고 소고기 완자 국수도 사주신 팅 누나, 시끄럽게 떡을 먹여주신 옌 누나, 여자다운 존재감 때문에 운전이 느려질 뻔한 젠후이, 버드와이저를 즐겨 마시는 애주가, 그리고 옆방에 계시면서 피아노도 치시는 양 사장님까지, 정말 사랑스러운 사람들이었어요! 그리고 귀여운 황 원장님과 주 원장님까지! 예 사장님 말씀처럼, 하이러신에서 만난 사람들이야말로 진정한 로맨스였어요. 마지막 날 저녁 식사까지 함께하겠다고 주방장님께 약속했는데, 일찍 떠나게 되어 조금 아쉽습니다. 하이러신에서 보낸 시간은 난창에서 열린 ”십천연가전”을 본 것 외에 올 여름휴가 중 가장 행복한 시간이었습니다. 마지막으로, 여러분 모두 매일 행복하시고, 걱정은 덜하시고, 편안한 밤 주무시길 바랍니다! 하이러신이 더욱 번창하고 성공하기를, 그리고 사장님께서 사업 번창하시고, 부를 많이 얻으시고, 더욱 멋있어지시기를 기원합니다!
