Our stay at Manon Boutique Hotel Semarang was a mix of pleasant surprises and a few frustrating moments. First, the good things. Since the hotel lobby isn't located on the ground level, the security staff was very helpful in assisting us with our luggage, which we really appreciated. Check-in and check-out were also quick and hassle-free. Unfortunately, the bathroom could use some attention. The shower drain didn't drain properly, leaving water pooling on the floor and making the shower area a bit slippery. The shower pressure was also quite weak, so it took quite a while to rinse off. The hot water worked, but it was only warm rather than genuinely hot. Another thing that caught us off guard was our room window. The room had a window, but instead of a view or natural light, it faced another wall. We had a little laugh when we opened the curtains because we weren't expecting that. I suppose it's there to make the room feel less enclosed, but don't expect any morning sunshine. The most confusing part of our stay was the breakfast arrangement. The night before checkout, my husband asked whether we could have our breakfast packed to go since we planned to leave very early. The hotel staff initially told us it wasn't possible. Later that evening, however, someone from the restaurant informed us that takeaway breakfast could indeed be arranged, so we thought everything had been settled. The next morning, my husband checked with the receptionist, who had no idea about our breakfast request. He then went to the restaurant, where they also seemed unaware. After returning to our room and calling the restaurant directly, they finally prepared our breakfast. We still have no idea where the miscommunication happened, but fortunately we had already decided to cancel our early morning plan. Otherwise, we probably would have left without breakfast. We also weren't informed about takeaway drinks, and by then we were simply too tired to ask. Thankfully, the breakfast itself made up for a lot. The Monte Cristo Bliss sandwich was absolutely fantastic and easily the highlight of our stay. Would we come back? Maybe—for the Monte Cristo Bliss alone. The hotel has many positives, but communication between the front desk and the restaurant definitely needs to be improved. With better coordination and a few maintenance fixes, the overall experience would have been much smoother.

카스 호텔은 시내 중심가 근처에 위치해 있습니다. 호텔에서 나와 왼쪽으로 가면 퀸 시티 몰이, 오른쪽으로 가면 폴룩스 몰 파라곤 세마랑이 있습니다. 호텔 밖에는 낮과 밤에 영업하는 현지 식당들이 있습니다. 호텔 정문을 나서면 오른쪽에 아포텍이라는 약국이 있고, 맞은편에는 가격이 합리적인 인도마트가 있어 매우 편리합니다. 하지만 호텔 청결도는 개선이 필요합니다. 옷걸이 근처와 침대 옆 탁자 주변에 먼지가 많아 물티슈로 닦아야 했습니다. 객실에는 TV 앞 테이블과 침대 옆 탁자에 각각 하나씩, 총 두 개의 램프가 있었는데, 둘 다 탁자 위에 설치되어 있어 탁자 공간을 가리는 것이 불편했습니다. 웰컴 드링크는 작은 잔에 제공되었고, 호텔 투숙객을 위한 정수기는 없었습니다. 욕실 디자인도 아쉬웠는데, 샤워 후 물이 세면대와 변기 쪽으로 흘러넘쳤습니다. 유리 칸막이가 너무 작아 물이 마른 공간으로 새어나가지 않도록 막아주지 못했습니다. 샤워기 헤드가 천장에 고정되어 있어서 몸을 깨끗이 씻기가 좀 불편했습니다. 물이 머리에서 바로 떨어졌거든요. 천장에 고정되어 있어서 샤워기 헤드 각도를 조절할 방법도 없었습니다. 저희 방(318호)은 에어컨 컴프레서 세 대 바로 옆에 있어서 다른 호텔 투숙객들이 에어컨을 켜면 밤에 소음이 너무 심했습니다. 호텔에서 그랩 앱 사용자에게 상품권을 제공했는데 프런트 데스크 직원이 알려주지 않았습니다. 마지막 날 밤에야 로비 엘리베이터 밖 호텔 TV 화면에 상품권이 나와 있는 것을 봤습니다. 아쉽게도 지난 4일 동안 스마랑에서 그랩을 이용했음에도 불구하고 10,000루피아 할인 상품권을 더 이상 사용할 수 없게 되었습니다. 하지만 호텔 객실 관리 직원과 컨시어지 직원분들은 매우 친절하고 도움이 많이 되었습니다.

The location is still goo. The hotel is very aesthetic and has a beautiful design. There is no gym or swimming pool, but the strength of this hotel is the rooftop. It is also near a big mall in Semarang, which is convenient.

The good thing about this hotel is their Housekeeping and Front Office staf are honest. When my nephew left his e-toll card in the room, the hotel staff kept it, and when we get back to this hotel, we ask for the e-toll card and they handed it back to us.
