KKay KiatThey provided three meals, if you are a Chinese tummy I had the chance to stay at Xiaomi Homestay in Kilimani, Nairobi, and it was a refreshing mix of comfort, convenience, and cultural charm.
Location & First Impressions
The homestay is tucked away in the lively Kilimani neighborhood, which makes it easy to access restaurants, shopping malls, and transport. The property itself feels modern, clean, and welcoming — a good balance between homely warmth and hotel-like comfort.
Comfort & Amenities
The facilities were a big plus. The gym was well-equipped, making it easy to keep up with workouts, while the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing after a busy day in the city. Both amenities added great value to the stay, especially for anyone who enjoys fitness and downtime in equal measure.
Meals & Dining Experience
One of the standout features was the inclusion of three daily Chinese meals. DDominicI booked a 2-night stay over Saturday and Sunday while waiting for my 1am flight on Monday. I had just returned from a safari and was extremely tired, hoping to get some rest. Unfortunately, starting around 4am on Sunday, there was a lot of noise coming from the room directly in front of mine. It appeared to be a group occupying multiple rooms, shouting and moving between them.
I called the lobby twice, and while the receptionist was kind and responsive in contacting the group, the noise continued, and I eventually gave up on trying to sleep.
Later that afternoon, the tap and shower in my room stopped working. I had to call again to have it fixed, and even after it was restored, there was no hot water. I had a VERY cold shower.
That said, I genuinely appreciated the food and the aesthetic of the property—the African artifacts in the hallways and the soaring ceilings made the place feel very special. It’s the kind of atmosphere I’d love to return to. However, because of the disruptions and inconvenience I experienced, I don’t think I’ll be coming back unless necessary.

YYUSUFMU5What an amazing experience! Me and my wife have luckily travelled to many countries and stayed in a range of hotels and this was one of the most comfortable and welcome experiences. Our first time in Nairobi so we didn’t know too much about where to stay until we spoke to some people. They mentioned the area to be safe and also recommended this hotel as a great way to be comfortable in Nairobi. You have security in entrance and exit and they were super nice. All the staff in the hotel were accommodating and showed us around and had us alll the info we needed. We got breakfast included and stayed for 3 nights. The breakfast was exactly what we needed. You have a range of foods to choose from and I’m sure you’ll find something you like! The food at the hotel is halal which is great for us too. Our room was cleaned and refilled every day and they were respectful and details in their service. We also used the gym which was super great. Enough for you to get a good workout in too. The location is next to Sarit Centre, perfect to access the Masai Market (on specific days) and also shops of all kinds.
Big thank you to the team and everyone involved! Will definitely choose this hotel if I’m ever in Nairobi and also one I’d recommend to friends and family.

YYao bukeyan算內羅畢很新很豪華的酒店了，酒店安保檢查非常嚴格，進門口會有保安詢問，警犬查防爆，進到大堂還需要把隨身包進行安檢，還有配槍的安保人員。不過完全不用擔心安全問題，純粹是政府要求。酒店的服務員很nice，無論是前台，禮賓部還是餐廳，所有人都很友好，有任何問題都盡力解決。
酒店設施很齊全，有乒乓🏓，飛鏢🎯，健身房，露天游泳池。餐廳的早餐很豐富，咖啡很好喝。
酒店的地理位置不是很中心，附近沒有餐廳，要麼在酒店用餐要麼可以Uber去最近的village market，裏面有吃有買，很方便。

리리뷰어The accomodation is absolutely top range and comfortable and the place has so much to offer. Unfortunately, it appears to be running on auto pilot or poor management. These are the things which really annoyed me: 1. Arriving at night, the signage is not well lit and we struggled to establish whether we had arrived at the right place, especially the security personnel at the gate were not being very helpful. They have never been given any training to help them understand that they are the first point of contact between guests and the residency. 2. We arrived on a ”Jazz Night” but, although I am a jazz lover, it should not be foreced upon everyone. The layout of the dining area is very poorly thought out. There was no maitre d'hotel or someone to direct us as to where we should go if we wanted to eat and not listen to music. Eventually we found someone to help us walk past the music area and squeeze past the tight space to go past th bar to the dining area. The whole layout is kind of back to front. The dining area should be more easily accessible and there needs to be a way to separate the main dining area without getting rid of the dining tables in the music area. 3. The dining area is exposed at the back and there was a strong could draught that night, because the rear part of the dining area is exposed to the elements.

케냐의 조모 케냐타 국제공항에 도착이 19시 반 지났고, 이미 호텔 체크인 시간은 지나고 있었습니다만, 넣어 받을 수 있었습니다.
다음날 아침 7시에는 사파리 투어의 픽업이 올 예정이었기 때문에, 정말로 짧은 체재였습니다만, 아무것도 모르는 나에게 스탭씨들은 상냥하게 가르쳐 주셔, 치안의 면으로부터 매우 걱정이었던 것 하지만 근처의 ATM도 드라이버 씨에게 데려가 주셨습니다.
아침 식사는 뷔페 스타일로 오믈렛을 요리사가 만들어줍니다.
무엇이든 맛있었습니다.
방은 심플했지만, 시설은 매우 깨끗하고, 조금 더 천천히 하고 싶었습니다!

리리뷰어Overall this hotel was good. The breakfast food spread was amazing and the A-la-cart items you could order at dinner were very fancy and delicious.
The staff was friendly and kind (but they often seemed overwhelmed with work). There was a huge walking path in the back of the lot. The grounds were beautiful. The hotel was clean. The gym was small; it included a rack of dumbbells, two or three treadmills, an elliptical machine, and one yoga mat. The water jug in the gym was empty.
We wouldn’t stay here again because there are really nice hotels nearby for 1/3 of the cost. Maybe the food variety wouldn’t be as good as Eka, or less beautiful grounds, but Eka was not worth the extra cost. We stayed two nights and the entire time couldn’t see where the $125 a night value was coming from.
Sadly, the other Nairobi hotel ratings on Trip are lower, like 3.5. An example hotel is Maison Royale. But if you’re looking for a good hotel just a bit less fancy, go somewhere else.

JJason2023중심가에 가까워 걸어서 몇 분 거리에 여러 바가 있어서 위치가 좋습니다. 우버를 이용하면 편리하고 저렴하게 이동할 수 있습니다. 직원들도 친절했고, 레스토랑/바는 24시간 영업하는 것 같습니다. 객실도 좋았습니다. 나이로비는 물가가 좀 비싼 편이지만, 이 호텔은 괜찮았습니다. 사파리 후에 다시 예약하려고 했는데 가격이 더 비싸져서 대신 스위스 벨린 호텔로 옮겼습니다. 스위스 벨린은 더 저렴하면서도 시설은 비슷했습니다 (거리가 조금 더 멀긴 하지만, 우버와 볼트를 이용하면 편리하고 저렴하게 이동할 수 있습니다).
케냐에 오는 외국인을 위한 팁:
1. 케냐 밖에서 환전하세요. 특히 공항 환율이 정말 안 좋습니다. 실제 환율보다 최대 35%까지 낮게 주는 것을 봤습니다.
2. 현금은 조금만 있으면 충분합니다. 대부분의 장소에서 카드를 사용할 수 있습니다.
3. 텔콤 유심 카드는 절대 사지 마세요. 나이로비에서도 전혀 쓸모가 없지만, 사파리에서는 완전히 무용지물입니다.
4. 우버와 볼트는 여기서 아주 유용합니다.
5. 사파리 여행에 국립공원 입장료(미국 달러로 지불)가 포함되어 있지 않다면, 도착 전에 미리 지불하세요. 여기 은행과 ATM은 미국 달러 인출이 매우 불안정합니다.
