리리뷰어We were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended.
The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour.
The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

호텔 시설은 좋은 편이었고, 유일하게 방 안에서 Wi-Fi 비밀번호를 찾지 못해서 프런트 서비스에 문의해서야 알 수 있었습니다.
호텔 환경은 우아하고 쾌적했으며, 작은 다리와 흐르는 물, 무성한 숲이 어우러져 있었습니다. 이동할 때는 전동 카트를 이용할 수 있었는데, 각 출입구마다 호출 버튼이 있어서 매우 편리했습니다!
호텔 위생 상태는 아주 좋았습니다! 침구류는 매우 깨끗하고 새하얗고 편안했습니다.
체크인부터 체크아웃까지 전반적인 서비스가 아주 좋았습니다! 도착하자마자 버틀러가 바로 위챗을 추가했습니다. 우리가 무이산 관광을 갈 예정이라 버틀러가 짐을 방으로 옮겨줘서 많은 수고를 덜 수 있었습니다. 관광이 끝난 후 버틀러에게 현지 맛집을 추천받았는데, 정말 맛있어서 가족 모두 매우 만족했습니다!

I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay.
I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me.
I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters.
To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget.
For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms.
Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful.
The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees.
This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine.
This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit.
It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

Dahongpao와 Lapsang Souchong이라는 작은 차 봉지가 제공됩니다. 조식도 나쁘지 않고 잘 먹을 수 있었고, 레스토랑도 너무 예뻤습니다.

The room is spacious, super clean, and thoughtfully designed with minimalist touches. The natural colors and materials create a calming atmosphere that feels like home — perfect for slow living. The bathroom is large, spotless, and well-equipped with amenities. I especially loved the beautiful natural light in the room.
On the ground floor, there’s a vibrant tea shop where young locals drop by, creating a lively atmosphere. You'll find historical exhibitions and curated objects that offer insight into both Wuyishan and the rich heritage of Chinese tea. And don’t miss meeting Xiaobai, the friendly resident dog who’s always happy to greet guests.
The 6th floor features a cozy tatami-style common room, complete with a go board and a tea table overlooking stunning panoramic mountain views — an ideal place to unwind.
What truly sets this place apart is the host and the staff. They’re warm, welcoming, and always ready to share tea with you — each time you return from a walk or come downstairs. I stayed two nights and tried at least 6–7 different kinds of Wuyishan tea. Even as a solo traveler and a foreigner, I felt included in conversations and easily connected with other guests.
Pro tip: If you know a bit of Chinese, it’ll help you dive deeper into the stories behind the place. But even if you don’t, the language of tea will still make you feel at home.

리리뷰어아름다운 환경과 넓은 전망대를 갖춘 목가적인 호텔입니다. 호텔 뒤편에는 차밭이 있어 아침 일찍 일어나면 차 따는 여인들이 올라가는 풍경이 펼쳐집니다. 차를 따는 산은 매우 아름답습니다. 호텔 아래에는 차 향기가 나는 차를 만드는 작업장이 있습니다. 호텔 주인과 서비스 직원은 매우 친절했고 여행 경로에 대한 안내를 제공해주었습니다. 호텔에는 맛있는 음식을 제공하는 대형 레스토랑이 있습니다. 호텔은 경치가 좋은 곳에 있기 때문에 식사하러 나가기가 쉽지 않습니다. 우리는 호텔에서 세 끼를 모두 먹었습니다. 호텔은 우이공(Wuyigong)과 송 스트리트(Song Street)까지 도보로 단 10분 거리에 있습니다. 우이공역(Wuyigong Station)에서 다양한 관광명소까지 셔틀버스를 타거나 9번 버스를 타고 대나무 래프팅 부두(Bamboo Rafting Pier)까지 갈 수 있습니다. . 밖에 나가지 않는다면 푸르름이 가득한 전망대에서 차를 마시는 것도 큰 즐거움이다.

시설 : 비교적 완벽하지만 세탁실에 세탁기가 너무 적습니다. 우이산에 가면 그 당시 비가 와서 세탁 수요가 매우 높습니다. 세탁기 2대와 건조기 2대를 동시에 사용하려면 최소 2시간 이상 줄을 서세요! 판매자가 새로운 것을 추가하는 것이 좋습니다!
서비스: 젊고 잘생긴 웨이터의 온유함과 겸손, 예의를 칭찬하는 것이 중요하며 그는 고객을 매우 배려합니다! 특히 혼자가는 여성에게 적합하며 매우 사려 깊고 사려 깊은 서비스입니다!
