'호텔 방은 꽤 괜찮지 만 공중 화장실과 욕실 만 있습니다. 전자 레인지는 깨끗하지 않습니다. 료칸은 실제로 역에서 도보로 꽤 멀고 근처에 편의점이나 레스토랑이 많지 않습니다. 그러나 백패커/장거리 트레커가 휴식을 취하기에 꽤 좋은 피트 스톱이 될 수 있습니다. 이 료칸을 방문하는 사람들에게 버스 서비스를 이용하거나(여관을 오가는 버스가 있는 것 같습니다. 역), 또는 운전을 하는 것이 좋습니다. 식사를 예약하지 않은 경우 미리 음식을 준비하십시오. 그 곳에서 차가워지는 평화로운 곳 :)'

'Our car was stuck outside of the hotel due to heavy snow, one of the hotel staff was extremely helpful to clear snow on the road and helped us drive the car back to the hotel, we were so grateful for his help otherwise we dunno how long would it take for us to make the car move again. He was so worry about us as there were also heavy snow on our departure day, he escorted us down to the mountain to make sure we are safe. All of the staff were so nice, food was fantastic! Probably one of the best hotel experience we have ever had. We reli enjoy the time there!'

'The staff really went above and beyond to make two ignorant Canadian tourists feel extremely welcome at a traditional Japanese Ryuken. Though there was a small language barrier, we never felt that we could not communicate our needs. The hot and cold onsen was very refreshing after walking post towns along the Nakasendo Way. The river next to the hotel made for a relaxing experience and deep sleep. Somehow, I missed the option when booking to select the dinner option, there is really no other food options in the area, and the clerk (owner) said he would put a 'simple meal' together for us for a small charge which we found acceptable. The kaiseki that followed was some of the best and most authentic Japanese food we experienced in our two weeks in Japan. The woman serving us was an absolute gem and the cat that ran the establishment was adorable. Our room was very comfortable and had a nice sitting area with a view of the river. Only points of contention would be that that it's a little out of the way if you don't have a car, but is conveniently accessable by bus with ~10 minute walk. The facilities are a little dated, the onsen is discoloured, but I assume that is from the natural minerals. There was a stale smell (smoke) in the rooms which is a bit off-putting to non-smokers. It would appear smoking is allowed in the facility which might be a plus to some.'

'Wow! Amazing hotel, difficult to get to on foot but actually close to the nakasendo trail. The rooms are authentic traditional Japanese, fantastic buffet, incredible onsen, we highly recommend this if you are hiking the nakasendo trail.'

'The property is located just opposite the train station. We arrived at 9:30 am, did the check-in procedure, and then left luggage there so that we were luggage-free when we went on hiking on one of the section of the Nakasendo. We did not have to explain, the host simply accepted our luggage gracefully. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. The host and staff were very polite and helpful. Some of the staff spoke very good English and explained to us the different types of sauces for each dish. I think the facilities could be made better with some simple adjustments. The room was a bit small, we knew that when we made booking. However, I think the room could be more roomly if not so many furnitures were put in the room. The public bath room was small. If someone is having a shower, the water could easily splash into the bath water and persons sitting in the bath. I suggest the host to change the male and female baths into 2 private baths, allowing prior booking each time for 40 min. Booking can easily be done by self-service. With these minor adjustments, the stay could be more enjoyable.'

'Our stay here was truly the highlight of our trip! Rooms were spacious and clean, shuttle service provided to the train station and private onsen for booking! Highly recommend to book the half board package cause the dinner was amazing and took us 1hr to slowly enjoy all the dishes served. Stayed for 2 nights and the dinner and breakfast served were different on each day.'

'Decided to stay here as part of my Nakasendo hike. Nice, clean hotel. The dinner was amazing, and breakfast buffet is free for all guests. No private showers, but that's okay in Japan. It's quite a walk from the station however, about 10-15mins.'
