I stayed at the Gasthaus Badhof for a week. I booked on the hotel website and got a special price for staying seven days in a row. The hotel is located in a quiet town five minutes by car from the centre of Lucerne. I went down walking to the city in less than an hour twice, walking along the edge of the lake to the city. There is a bus line -free for being a hotel guest- with a stop a few meters away, very convenient for the return, uphill. It is a one-story building with twelve very spacious rooms (50 m2). The architecture is very modern and the quality of the construction, facilities and furniture are excellent. The bathroom is integrated into the room, the shower is a very well built glazed hurna. Each room has a large covered terrace where you can admire the magnificent landscape: an nine-hole golf course and, in the background, Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps. You can walk or go jogging around. I had an underground parking space -with charging point for my electric car- with direct access to the room by elevator -no additional charge-. On the ground floor is the reception and the restaurant lounge with large windows to the golf and exit to sit outside. The breakfast is not of great variety -because the hotel is small- but it is served in a very correct way and with fresh products of very good quality. All the hotel staff and golf course caretakers are very friendly and professional. They are always willing to help and showing their best smile. I think it is an ideal place to stay to visit Switzerland staying in a real four-star hotel, modern, quiet, clean, discreet, convenient and reasonably priced.

We stayed at the Hermitage and it was a perfect choice for us. The hotel is away from the city center but the bus stop that takes you there is in front of the hotel entrance and you get to the city center in 15 mins tops. But staying here you get the most perfect unobstructed views to enjoy, and not even pedestrians walking in front of the hotel. It was just perfect. The room was clean and service was great. We would go back to this same hotel if we were to visit Luzern a second time.

Very nice hotel just across the street from the Vierwaldstatter see(Lake Lucerne) Pros: Great staff easy check in Great views from lake facing rooms, easy parking. Ok value for the area,comfortable bed. Cons: There was construction going on at the time of our stay. The rooms have no A//C, not a deal breaker but the room was sealed up tight and that first blast of stifling heat when we opened the door was unexpected. But they do give have a large fan unfortunately the cord would not allow the fan to be placed in the terrace door to help cool off the room. The breakfast buffet selection was plentiful but the cooked foods were merely OK at best.

I stayed at the Swiss Chalet Merlischachen on a friend’s recommendation as I wanted to avoid a touristy location and experience a typical Swiss hotel. This was exactly what I wanted, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and the hotel had a great lawn facing the lake and was very active in the evening. The room was a very small one and had no attached toilets, but was ok for a one-night stay.

You can walk or go jogging around. I had an underground parking space -with charging point for my electric car- with direct access to the room by elevator -no additional charge-. On the ground floor is the reception and the restaurant lounge with large windows to the golf and exit to sit outside. The breakfast is not of great variety -because the hotel is small- but it is served in a very correct way and with fresh products of very good quality. All the hotel staff and golf course caretakers are very friendly and professional. They are always willing to help and showing their best smile. I think it is an ideal place to stay to visit Switzerland staying in a real four-star hotel, modern, quiet, clean, discreet, convenient and reasonably priced.

Very nice hotel just across the street from the Vierwaldstatter see(Lake Lucerne) Pros: Great staff easy check in Great views from lake facing rooms, easy parking. Ok value for the area,comfortable bed. Cons: There was construction going on at the time of our stay. The rooms have no A//C, not a deal breaker but the room was sealed up tight and that first blast of stifling heat when we opened the door was unexpected. But they do give have a large fan unfortunately the cord would not allow the fan to be placed in the terrace door to help cool off the room. The breakfast buffet selection was plentiful but the cooked foods were merely OK at best.

We stayed at the Hermitage and it was a perfect choice for us. The hotel is away from the city center but the bus stop that takes you there is in front of the hotel entrance and you get to the city center in 15 mins tops. But staying here you get the most perfect unobstructed views to enjoy, and not even pedestrians walking in front of the hotel. It was just perfect. The room was clean and service was great. We would go back to this same hotel if we were to visit Luzern a second time.

We stayed here for 6 nights in our vacation. We are family of 3 and we stayed in Triple room. Room was quite spacious with 2 bedrooms and enough storage space. Check in experience was quite smooth, our room was available an hour before check in time. Breakfast spread was good (Eggs, Breads, Cereals, Fruits, Juice, Coffee). We had desert couple of time at their restaurant which was quite good. As a guest you get access to Visitor card which allows to take Bus no. 24 to Lucerne right outside the hotel (Bus stand name is Balm). It used to take around 10 mins to reach Lucerne bahnof. Only thing missing was air conditioning but table fans were provided and room had enough windows to allow for fresh air and ventilation. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Gasthaus Badhof for a week. I booked on the hotel website and got a special price for staying seven days in a row. The hotel is located in a quiet town five minutes by car from the centre of Lucerne. I went down walking to the city in less than an hour twice, walking along the edge of the lake to the city. There is a bus line -free for being a hotel guest- with a stop a few meters away, very convenient for the return, uphill. It is a one-story building with twelve very spacious rooms (50 m2). The architecture is very modern and the quality of the construction, facilities and furniture are excellent. The bathroom is integrated into the room, the shower is a very well built glazed hurna. Each room has a large covered terrace where you can admire the magnificent landscape: an nine-hole golf course and, in the background, Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps.
