The dining area for 10 opens to the adjacent nicely equipped and updated kitchen, with island seating for 4, and just off the kitchen is a casual dining table for 6 with ocean views. There are 2 guest rooms on the main level and the upstairs features 3 more bedrooms and bathrooms. The second level also features an ocean-view family room with a fireplace, wet bar, TV and sofa seating. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors open to the view terrace with lounge seating and sweeping ocean, beach and park views. This is where you want to be! The Shores Jewel is just off the main beach; simply cross the street and you are on the sands of La Jolla Shores and the adjacent oceanfront grass park with picnic tables, and a beachfront playground. Walk to the north and explore Scripps pier and the cliffs above Blacks Beach, or head south to the commercial district for beach shops and rentals and a great selection or dining options. The residence is fully air-conditioned (even though really not needed as so close to the beach that the residence enjoys the cool ocean breezes) !The residence is located on the second floor of a duplex (upper and lower). All appliances and designer furnishings in this sophisticated contemporary are newer. There is sleeping for four – the Master bedroom has a King bed, the guest bedroom has two full size beds a; all mattresses on beds are Plushtops. The granite countertop kitchen is fully equipped and has stainless steel appliances including a gas range. The dining room has a dining table for six and counter seating at the bar. Free Direct TV and Wifi Internet come with the rental. The residence has a full-size washer and dryer .The retreat has exclusive use of the newly installed front yard/patio with dining table, lounge chairs, couch, and BBQ. This is not a shared space. There is also a enclosed area to store beach toys and bikes. The downstairs residence has exclusive use of the back patio. The retreat has off-street parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away. Parking is free.Housekeeping every other week for monthly stays is included. Additional housekeeping is available. The house is in a great location for enjoying the amenities of La Jolla and the San Diego area. La Jolla is a friendly town for walking. It is just four blocks to the Beach and La Jolla Village businesses, dining, shopping and other activities are within ½ mile of the retreat – town center, museums, restaurants, shops and businesses.
