It is 3 miles (10 minutes) from the French Quarter in the safest neighborhood in the city. The house has 12 foot ceilings. There are 3 full baths. This house has all of the character of an old New Orleans home. I have Wifi, a complete kitchen and a large yard that has newly built pergola with a patio set. From the house, it is nice to watch cruise ships, river boats and other vessels traveling on the Mississippi River. Also, there is off street parking. This is the safest area in the city! This home also Features a detached apartment that sleeps 2 with a queen bedroom/living room private full kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. Please note The apartment is raised and has a full set of stairs. Not recommended for people having trouble with stairs.We are nestled only 4 miles from the French Quarter. Also, very close to a boat launch which offers the best fishing in the country. Stay an extra day or two. Bring a boat or charter a fishing captain and go fishing.The house has 4 king beds. There are 3 full baths and a half bath. We completed remodeling the house in February 2020. Next door is a another house with 4 king beds and 3.5 baths. We completed remodeling the second house in 2015. We have central air and heat and a washer/dryer in the house. The house has a pergola with table and chairs and a nice side porch with table and chairs. The front porch is a nice place to sit in the afternoons with sun setting behind the house. From the porch, or a 2 block walk to the river, you can watch the cruse liners, paddle boats and cargo ships go up and down the Mississippi river. This is Southern relaxation at it's best.
