Santa Catalina Hotel is undeniably a historic architectural landmark, but as a hotel experience it fell well below expectations. On arrival, the service felt cold and somewhat pretentious rather than welcoming, with concierge staff coming across as detached and pompous rather than genuinely hospitable. A key reason for choosing the hotel was the prominently advertised rooftop pool and views, only to discover after check-in that access is restricted to suite guests. The spa is similarly limited unless you pay €15 per person for 90 minutes, which feels disproportionate given the modest facilities. These restrictions are not clearly communicated at booking and leave a sense of being misled. Several of the lounge and communal areas were also frequently reserved for corporate events and seminars, which further diminished the sense of a relaxed hotel environment. As a guest, it often felt as though you were secondary to business groups and functions moving through the space, even in more personal hotel moments such as walking through common areas in a robe. In-room entertainment is very dated, with a non–smart TV offering only basic local and satellite channels. Room service carries a €5 delivery surcharge, while on-site dining is largely limited to high-end fine dining with little casual alternative. It is also worth noting that Las Palmas sits under a noticeably less favourable microclimate than the south and west of Gran Canaria. During our stay, conditions were consistently cloudy, windy, and cool, which further limited the enjoyment of the hotel’s already restricted amenities. For those seeking reliable sun and beach weather, the southern or western parts of the island are a better choice. Overall, despite its striking heritage setting, the combination of underwhelming service, restricted access to advertised facilities, dated in-room amenities, corporate use of guest spaces, and disappointing weather made for a stay that did not feel justified by the price and is not somewhere we would return to. The atmosphere and clientele also skew noticeably toward an older demographic.

Estupenda ubicación en la plaza de la catedral (Santa Ana). El personal, encantador. Nos dieron todo tipo de indicaciones, tanto para comer, como para aparcar, etc El único problema del hotel es el aparcamiento y que no se puede llegar en coche

Excelente ubicación, a 2 minutos andando a la playa de Las Canteras. Habitación limpia, cama cómoda con 2 opciones de almohada. Espacio y armarios más que suficientes, televisión grande. El desayuno súper completo y variado. Muy recomendable.

Апарт-отель с самыми маленькими номерами среди всех апарт-отелей, в которых я останавливался. Площадь номера всего 14 метров (меньше 20 в моей практике не было), но мы знали что бронировали, поэтому сюрпризом это не стало. Номер был на третьем этаже, окна выходили на второстепенную улицу, где, как нам казалось, очень тихо. Особенно по сравнению с другой стороной, куда выходят окна у апарт-отеля, – в сторону парка Санта-Каталина. Здесь первые этажи занимают бары и рестораны, и по вечерам царит настоящее столпотворение. А вот мусор из этих заведений по ночам выносят как раз на параллельную улицу, туда, куда у нас выходили окна. Так что если хотите выспаться, нужны будут беруши – внешняя звукоизоляция фактически отсутствует. Номер скромный не только по размерам, но и по оснащению – но мы были к этому готовы. Санузел чистый, уборка в номерах каждые трое суток (биоразлагаемые отходы выносили каждый день). Горячая вода – из накопительного водонагревателя, но его объема не хватало на то, чтобы два человека приняли душ сразу по очереди. Нужно сделать перерыв хотя бы минут 15, чтобы вода успела нагреться.

Die Lage des Hotels ist einfach perfekt – zentral, ruhig und ideal, um alles schnell zu erreichen. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und sympathisch, man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Besonders positiv ist die Sauberkeit: Die gemeinschaftlich genutzten Bereiche wie Dusche, Bad, Toilette, Wohnzimmer, Küche und die Dachterrasse werden mehrmals täglich gründlich gereinigt. Dadurch herrscht stets eine angenehme und gepflegte Atmosphäre. Insgesamt ein wirklich empfehlenswertes Hotel, in dem man sich rundum wohlfühlt!

프론트 데스크가 없기 때문에 체크인이 조금 복잡하고 시간이 걸렸습니다 (WhatsApp에서 호텔 직원과 연락을 취해야합니다). 일찍 도착해도 일찍 체크인하거나 짐을 맡기지 못하므로 주의가 필요합니다. 유럽과 비교할 때 칸나리아는 습도가 높습니까? 방이 약간 곰팡이 냄새가 나고 방이 젖어있는 느낌이 들었습니다. 창문도 있지만 우리 방에는 안뜰이 있습니까? 창문만 마주하고 있었고 창문과 커튼이 항상 닫혀있었습니다. 또한 다른 방의 음악이 들릴 때 벽이 얇다고 생각합니다. 침실과 욕실을 분리하는 문은 불안정하고 위의 간격이 커서 목욕이나 배설 때 등의 소리를 신경 쓰는 사람에게는 권장하지 않습니다. 또한 욕실에는 샴푸와 샤워젤이 통합된 것만 놓지 않기 때문에 걱정되는 사람은 샴푸나 바디 비누를 가져온 것이 좋다고 생각합니다. 방에는 주전자, 전자레인지, 냉장고, 세면대, 식기류가 구비되어 있어 간단한 식사를 준비하실 수 있습니다. 연속 숙박하시는 분들에게는 좋을 것 같지는 않나요?

incredible experience. friendly staff. comfortable beds. spacious and clean toilet. very nice terrace. All i would suggest is add more sockets in the room or add an extension cable. Also adding a shower door would mean alot less water on the floor after every shower. other than that its perfect
