The Courtyard Marriott of Cologne was clean, beautiful and a great location. It was a short walk to the Central train Station and near all the sights of Cologne. I was only there for one night and did not get to experience the breakfast as we checked out before it was served, but they did provide me with a lunch box which included a ham and cheese sandwich, a banana and a water. There is coffee and boxed water 24 hours a day in the lobby. The beds were super comfortable and the temperature of the room was ideal, as we had control over the air conditioner, whereas other hotels we stayed in the same week, did not allow us control and we were very warm. The room we had was a nice size and the view was of the empty courtyard which was extrememly quiet and definitely highly desirable. Front staff upon checking in, was not friendly, however after check in everyone else we came in contact with was very friendly. I didn't get the ladies name at the front desk, but she definitely didn't give us a positive welcome. Glad her shift ended and everyone else we dealt with, and passed was extremely friendly and that is what the experience should be like.

Hotel ligt vlak bij de Dom en het centraal station in een rustige straat en beschikt over een eigen parkeergarage (tegen betaling) die wel vrij nauwe ingang en nauwe parkeerplekken heeft. We arriveerden tegen het middaguur; onze business comfort met 2 separate bedden kamer was reeds gereed. Inchecken verloopt snel en effectief in de kleine receptie. De kamer beschikt over een badkamer met baddouche en toilet. Er is een raam dat open kan. Ondanks dat de kamer aan de straatzijde op 1e etage ligt is deze rustig. Er is koffie thee op de kamer beschikbaar. Vlak naast de receptie ligt de grote ruimte waar het ontbijtbuffet met ruim voldoende keuze geserveerd wordt. Vanuit het hotel loop je binnen 5 minuten via de stationshal het stadscentrum met alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden (waaronder de Dom van Keulen) in. Er zijn voldoende restaurants in de omgeving; het hotel heeft geen restaurant voor lunch of diner.

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and the best hotel from Accor Hotels. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay. As soon as I realised it, I contacted the hotel. The staff helped me to change my reservation dates. While on my trip, due to the strikes in France and problems with the train connections I had to postpone my meeting online. I sent an email to request to check in early since I will be having my meeting at 1 p.m. Ms Wulff made the necessary arrangements prior to my arrival. On my arrival I was able to check in early and able to proceed with my online meeting. Without her help I would not be able to conduct my meeting. On the next day, I had another online meeting. Her colleague made the necessary arrangements so that the housekeeping team could get the room cleaned before lunch and my next online appointment. Till date I have stayed in a number of hotels from the Accor Hotels group. In comparison to M Gallery am Konzerthaus in Wien, Hotel Mondial am Dom in Cologne exceeds my expectations. Professionalism The staff at the reception were not only friendly and good at what they are doing, they are also willing to help and went an extra mile to make things possible. I would not have been able to get my work done if they did not help me. Even when checking out, the staff was professional and showed interest to assist customers whenever they dan. Splendid Location Situation a few minutes walk from the train station and the main city area, is this hotel definite one of the most strategic location in Cologne. View of the Cathedral I managed to get a glimpse of the cathedral from my room. Dinner I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not only affordable, the service was impeccable. The waiter even suggested where I could sit so that I can get the best view of the area. Awesome! I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making my stay in Köln memorable und unforgettable. I would definitely be staying in this hotel again when I visit Cologne. In German (Deutsch) Das Hotel Mondial in Köln ist mein Favorit und ist mit Sicherheit das Hotel von der Accor Hotel Gruppe. Ich habe bei der Buchung das falsche Datum eingegeben und musste meine Buchung ändern. Die Mitarbeiterin. hat mir geholfen meine Buchung zu ändern. Wegen Streiks und Probleme mit Deutsch Bahn musste ich meine Termine verschieben. Ich habe das Hotel gefragt ob ich früher einchecken kann um mein Termin online wahr zu nehmen. Frau Wullf hat alles für mich arrangiert damit ich meinen Termin online fortsetzen kann. Am nächsten Tag habe ich auch einen Termin online. Der Kollege von Frau Wulff hat mit dem Housekeeping-Team koordiniert damit das Zimmer von 13 Uhr fertig gereinigt ist. Dadurch könnte ich meinen Termin um 14 Uhr wahrnehmen. Llegamos por la noche a este hotel, en la recepción había un señor que la verdad nos atendió de forma cordial y educada, a pesar de no hablar nada en español, nos entendimos en ingles. La primera impresión del hotel, es de una pensión, para nada lo catalogaría de hotel. El ascensor es de lo mas antiguo que yo me acuerdo ver. La llave de la habitación es un bloque de pesada, nada practica para llevártela. Alquilamos un coche, y la verdad que no encontramos problemas para aparcar cerca del ”hotel”. Cuando entramos en la habitación, lo primero que hice fue compararla con lo que había visto en la pagina del hotel en internet, difiere un poco sobre todo en la decoración pero para ser honesta con mi experiencia, la habitación para 3 personas es espaciosa, nos dieron una con vistas al exterior y luminosa, que se agradece muchísimo y el baño, bastante amplio, pero con defectos, de hecho según el plano que ponen detrás de las puertas era la mas grande de la planta. Al dia siguiente puedes ver mejor la habitacion, aparentemente limpia, sabanas limpias, baño limpio,.. pero SORPRESA!!! NOS ENCONTRAMOS UNA PRENDA DE ROPA INTERIOR SOBRE LA BUTACA QUE QUEDABA DEBAJO DEL ESCRITORIO. Madre mía!!!! casi me da algo. Sin embargo, la habitación estaba limpia, hasta la cortina del baño la habían puesto nueva, se notaba, tenia todavía los pliegues del doblado. Fui a comunicarlo a recepción, esperando como mínimo una disculpa y un que se yo, pero el comentario del recepcionista, un Sr bastante seco y desagradable y desde luego que no se caracterizaba por su cordialidad y simpatía y una Sra. rubia que estaba a su lado en la recepción , fue un ”Gracias” y coger el numero de la habitacion. Me quede en el mostrador esperando una reacción mas acorde con lo sucedido, pero nada, no la hubo. La habitación tiene el hueco para un refrigerador pequeño, pero no lo hay, las habitaciones no son insonorizadas, se escucha los golpes de los clientes de arriba y del pasillo, aunque debo decir que no fue lo habitual. Hace falta un cambio de colchones urgente, se hunden muchisimo. La bañera es altísima, y cuesta salir de ella. Ahora, lo positivo, la situación del hotel es muy buena, a 20 min caminando, llegamos a la catedral y centro histórico. Cerca de muchos restaurantes, que cierran bastante tarde. Wifi en el hotel. La habitación se limpiaba y se cambiaban las toallas todos los días. La moqueta relativamente limpia, la habitación con calefacción. La verdad y para finalizar, y viendo las cosas por el lado positivo como lugar de transito y para pasar la noche, porque el resto del día estamos fuera visitando los alrededores, no esta mal.

In short; facilities did not live up to expectations and the price. Basically it felt like a fancy looking overpriced regular hotel . Wouldn't book again. ___Full honest review ___ * Our stay Booked a studio room at the hotel for two nights as a getaway weekend with my partner. * Spa was closed!!! :( I chose this hotel because it had a spa included, but when we got there the spa was closed due to water damage. I was quite disappointed, but didn't complain. * Misleading information, fixed easily The hotel then offered to upgrade us to a premium superior studio because I had asked for a bathtub in my booking. It had said on the website the studio I chosen had a bathtub or shower, that was wrong, none of them did. But they upgraded our room so we could have a bath and a shower, which was nice. * Aesthetics exceeded expectations The hotel looks very beautiful and luxurious, so did the premium superior studio room we had. It looks much better than the photos and isn't as dark as it looks (though it still is). The dining area and bar look very nice and have comfortable seating. However, I found the vibe at the bar a bit underwhelming compared to the inviting brauhouses and bars in the city, it had boring lounge music and is very mellow. If you like a more quiet space it's perfect. * Delicious cocktails, good but underwhelming breakfast The waitress at the bar was very nice and the cocktails were delicious. We didn't have dinner there but the food looked good too. However,, the breakfast buffet was rather small but had variety. A few salads, few fruits, fresh salmon, eggs, bacon, waffels and a limited array of breads. The food was quite good but I had expected a larger buffet with more options considering the price. * Rooms way too hot!!! No AC We noticed instantly that it was very warm in the room, when we checked the thermostat it was 23 degrees (oktober, 15-19 and raining outside). We tried to turn down the thermostat but it did not work. It stayed 23-24 degrees all night with the windows open, which was a uncomfortable night's sleep. The next day we asked the reception about it and they said they do not have AC but ”climate control”. The temperature could only be changed 3 degrees up or down. They send someone by to fix it for us, but it stayed 23-24 degrees for our entire stay. We believe it was broken. * Bed was so so The bed was fine but not the most comfortable. The warm room certainly didn't help. * Lacking guest items The studio room had the very bare minimum of guest items. There were no shower caps, sewing kits, lady items or little soaps. Instead they had large containers with soap to use by all guests untill empty, and a small kit with some cotton buds. That was it. There were no slippers or bathrobes. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils however, and there was a simply hairdryer. * Staff was nice, but a bit forgetful The staff was very friendly and helpful but also forgetful. Haben am Wochenende eine Nacht hier verbracht. Das Hotel ist stylisch, im Bereich der Bar die Kölschen Gebote an der Wand, chic gemacht! Hatten - da nur eine Nacht- Zimmer der einfachen Kategorie. Klein, aber hübsch. Bett bequem. Bad ist mini, aber flauschige Handtücher, sauber, schöne Dusche. Wir hatten kein Frühstück gebucht und als wir morgens sahen, wie unendlich voll es war und dass die Gäste bis zur Rezeption irgendwelche Sitzmöbel belegten, beschlossen wir, anderweitig zu frühstücken. Ein bisschen Gemütlichkeit möchte man ja schon an einem Sonntagmorgen. Die Bar ist sehr nett, ideal für einen Ausklang. Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sehr freundlich. Kein eigener Parkplatz, aber das Parkhaus ganz im der Nähe, auf den dortigen Preis wurden 5,00 Euro Hotelrabatt gegeben. Wir zahlten für knapp 23 Stunden dann sensationelle 10,00 Euro! Ich würde das Haus wieder buchen.

여성 나홀로 여행자로서 나는 매우 안전하지 않고 불편하다고 느꼈습니다. 1박은 결제하고 숙박도 안하고 밤 10시 30분에 출발해서 근처 호텔로 갔다. 나는 마치 그들이 그곳에 풀타임으로 사는 것처럼 침대와 바닥 전체에 음식을 먹는 나이가 많고 매우 이상한 사람들과 함께 방에 처음 나왔다. 냄새가 끔찍했고 나는 거기에서 잠을 잘 수 없다는 것을 알았습니다. 운이 좋지 않다고 생각하여 다른 방을 요청했습니다. 그 다음 나는 50대와 60대의 나이든 남자 3명이 있는 방으로 옮겨졌고, 그들은 속옷만 입고 돌아다니다가 내 앞에서 완전히 옷을 벗고 있었습니다. 그들은 책을 읽거나 자신의 사업을 신경 쓰지 않고 내가 침대를 정리하는 동안 나를 쳐다보고 있었습니다. 내가 떠날 때, 그들 중 한 명이 나를 따라 가서 내가 어디로 가고 있는지, 내가 떠날지, 언제 돌아올지 물었습니다. 그는 이상하게도 나의 빠른 반환 비트에 투자했습니다. 이상했습니다. 남녀가 건강하게 혼합되어야 하고, 여행자는 노숙자와 소름 끼치는 노인이 아닌 같은 생각을 가진 여행자와 함께 머물고 싶어합니다! 나는 이 곳에서 30유로를 잃었다. 그냥 피하세요!

Arrived mid morning and received a friendly welcome to the hotel. Our room was ready for us and was on the first floor. Spacious room which was clean and had adequate space for storage. Bed was a twin but pushed together which suited us. The bathroom was bright and airy. Toiletries provided which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was help yourself to the buffet style. Lots of choice to suit all tastes. The location was ideal for getting about cologne, We are happy to walk everywhere but you can hire a bike, taxi , train and hop on and off bus. Get the train from the airport which will save on money. Just under €7 for two adults single fare. We really couldn’t fault our stay at this hotel.
