A hidden little retreat in the middle of nature. Mii Paa Aii is the kind of place that makes you slow down the moment you arrive. Tucked away among lush green forests, the setting is incredibly peaceful — no busy streets, no city noise, just trees, fresh air and the sounds of nature around you. The wooden cabin has so much character. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by warm timber, traditional details and large windows that frame the forest like a living painting. Sitting by the window with a cup of coffee, looking out at layers upon layers of green, is honestly one of the highlights of the stay. I especially loved the little details — the bamboo blinds, wooden bathtub, rustic furnishings and the small balcony overlooking the jungle. It feels beautifully simple and authentic rather than overly polished or commercial. But the real attraction is the location. You wake up surrounded by greenery, with the forest practically at your doorstep. It feels secluded and almost like being in your own little world. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect, breathe, slow down and experience the quieter side of Thailand, Mii Paa Aii is absolutely worth staying at. Come for the cabin, stay for the view, and leave wishing you had booked a few more nights.

We booked this hostel for just 1 night, but it turned out to be such a beautiful night! My good first impression started even before I arrived. I made my booking 3 months in advance, and I messaged the hostel through Facebook to reconfirm my reservation. The admin was very nice and helpful. He helped me check my booking and even recommended and helped me choose a quieter room. On the check-in day, I arrived quite early, around 10–11 AM (I’m not exactly sure because my van schedule had been changed). I just came to check in and wanted to leave my luggage there first, then walk around the area because I knew the normal check-in time. But then something I didn’t expect happened! They allowed me to check in and get my room early. Such a kind thing and I felt so lucky! 🥹❤️ I had been traveling all night by train and had just arrived in Chiang Mai that morning before coming here, so I was really tired. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were so soft that I felt like I was lying on a feather! 🤣☁️ They also have free Wi-Fi, which was a plus! I also ordered Shabu for dinner. It was 399 THB, including pork and vegetables, and it was VERY delicious! Imagine the weather getting cool while you’re enjoying a warm bowl of soup… OMG, it was honestly one of the best vibes I’ve ever experienced. 🥹🍲 The hostel also provides transportation services if you need to go somewhere nearby, which is very convenient. The only sad thing is that I missed breakfast because my alarm didn’t wake me up. 😂 This hostel is very quiet and private, and there were so many things that impressed me during my stay. I honestly can’t write everything here! If you’re planning to visit Mae Kampong, please keep Ing Doi Mae Kampong as one of your options. I really recommend staying here! 💚🌿

A little corner of Japan nestled in the dense, green vegetation of northern Thailand. It was our first time staying in a traditional Japanese establishment, and I must say I was very pleased. An experience definitely worth repeating, thanks also to the unique and always helpful staff. Thank you, and see you next time.

매캄퐁에 숨겨진 아름다운 휴식처. 발코니에서 보이는 산 전망은 정말 환상적이었고, 객실은 아늑하면서도 따뜻한 나무 소재로 꾸며져 세련된 분위기를 자아냈습니다. 특히 푸른 녹음을 바라보며 즐기는 독립형 욕조는 최고의 휴식이었습니다. 도시 생활에서 벗어나 완벽한 휴식을 취할 수 있는 곳입니다. 평화롭고 편안하며 강력 추천합니다 🌿

Staying at the duplex here is super chill. The house is clean, a lot of space and bathroom is very convenient since they do wet and dry bathroom in the duplex. Parking is free at the parking they provided. The stream in front of the house is full of flow energy which that flowing sound makes my mind stay so calm. Worth the money and worth the driving.

매캄퐁 마을 근처에 있는 아담하고 예쁜 집이었어요. 이곳에서 이틀 밤을 묵었는데 정말 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 방은 다락방 형태였고, 각 층에 더블 침대가 하나씩 있었어요. 샤워 시설이 갖춰진 욕실은 방 안에 딸려 있었습니다. 모든 것이 깨끗했고, 집주인 자매분들도 정말 친절하셨어요. 맑은 공기 속에서 졸졸 흐르는 물소리(집이 산골짜기 시냇가에 있어서 그런 것 같아요)를 들으며 꿀잠을 잤습니다. 습도가 높았는데도 모기가 없어서 밤에 창문을 활짝 열어놓고 잘 수 있었던 것도 정말 좋았어요. 말로 표현할 수 없을 만큼 행복했습니다! 아침 식사는 토스트, 시리얼, 커피, 과일 등 평범했지만, 따뜻한 밥으로 만든 국도 있었습니다. 한 가지 아쉬운 점은 2층 침대에서 담배 냄새가 났다는 거예요. 저는 담배를 피우지 않아서 그 냄새 때문에 2층에서는 자지 않았습니다.

직원분들이 정말 친절하고 미모가 뛰어나세요. 숙소는 매우 깨끗하고 침구도 좋아서 편안하게 잠들 수 있었어요. 편의시설도 완벽하고, 카페와 맛있는 신선한 채소 샐러드 조식도 좋았습니다. 숙박비에 커피와 차가 포함되어 있어서 인원수에 맞춰 제공됩니다. 위치도 깜퐁 마을에서 멀지 않아 아주 좋고, 숙소 앞에서 깜퐁으로 가는 차량 서비스도 있어요. 금붕어와 잉어에게 먹이도 줄 수 있고, 공기도 좋아서 가족 여행객에게 추천합니다. 한 가지 아쉬운 점은 객실에서 카페나 리셉션으로 가는 길에 경사로가 있는데, 비가 오거나 습한 날에는 아이들이나 어르신들이 미끄러질 수 있으니 조심해야 할 것 같아요. 흡연 구역은 카페 이용객 화장실 옆에 있어서 지나가다 보면 냄새가 날 수도 있습니다.

숙소는 구글맵으로 쉽게 찾아갈 수 있었어요. 아침에는 껫핀(Kew Fin) 일출 투어 차량 서비스가 100바트 추가 요금으로 제공돼요. 예정된 시간보다 5분 정도 일찍 가는 것을 추천합니다. 저희는 5시 30분 약속에 맞춰 도착했지만, 이미 차가 출발하려던 참이었어요. 운전기사님이 세 번이나 전화 주셨는데, 제가 휴대폰을 무음으로 해놔서 미처 받지 못했네요. 객실은 다른 건물과 분리된 독채 형태였습니다. 위층은 큰 침대 두 개가 있는 침실과 휴식 공간으로 되어 있었고, 아래층에는 욕실과 거실이 있었어요. 냉장고에는 간식도 있었고요. 마을 전경이 보이는 발코니와 넓은 욕실, 그리고 필요한 모든 어메니티가 갖춰져 있었습니다.
