리리뷰어오전 11시쯤 도착했는데, 바로 체크인을 해주지 않고 한 시간 후에 체크인하라고 하더군요. 대신 스무디를 가져다주고 수영장 타월도 제공해 주었습니다. 관리자(이름은 기억이 안 나네요)는 매우 정중하고 친절했고, 전반적으로 이 호텔에 머무는 동안 도움을 많이 주었습니다. 호텔을 세심하게 관리하고 있다는 게 느껴졌습니다. 전망도 훌륭했고, 객실은 깨끗하고 필요한 모든 것이 갖춰져 있었습니다. 조식은 뷔페였는데, 종류는 많지 않았지만 모두 맛있었습니다. 기차길을 따라 엘라 중심가까지 걸어갈 수 있는데, 아주 가깝습니다. 5분밖에 걸리지 않습니다. 호텔에 만족하며 추천합니다.

GGinbuHowwan這次在斯里蘭卡住過最完美的酒店，值得超五星。
我們訂的行政別墅，樓下一個大床，樓上兩個略小床墊。電動窗簾拉開就是幾乎全景玻璃陽台，可以看到外麪茶山。還能看到三孔橋和路過火車。
mini bar裏面給了幾十包茶包，都是免費，四瓶玻璃瓶水也是免費，酒和飲品收費。
游泳池很好看很出片，像無邊泳池。
一定要選帶晚餐的，晚餐是點菜式五道式，非常可口，也很特別，不含飲料。早餐也有一個很特別的脆皮蛋包，通往餐廳的路上能拍到很美的照片。
唯一就是蚊蟲比較多，整個行程唯一的兩個包就是在這裏晚上睡覺時候被咬的

예약할 때 몰랐기 때문에 셔틀 서비스를 사용하지 않았지만 주인은 어느 날 저녁 우리를 레스토랑으로 데려다 주기로 친절하게 동의하여 진정한 환대를 보여주었습니다.
음식은 또 다른 하이라이트였으며 절대적으로 맛있고 매우 합리적인 가격이었습니다. 아침 뷔페는 선택할 수있는 다양한 요리가 있기 때문에 특별한 언급을받을 가치가 있습니다.
우리 방은 신선한 침대 시트와 화려한 흰색 수건으로 흠 잡을 데없이 깨끗했습니다.

리리뷰어We weren't too sure what expect given the lack of reviews when we went in August, and one of them being quite scathing. The staff were definitely aware of this negative review as the points which were raised were ironed out for us: we were always asked if we wanted a drink with our meals, and group activities were cheaper depending on a high number of participants. I think it only fair and they definitely listened. The room and bathroom and every fixture, the grounds and layout, the beautiful lighting, attentive food service, everything was designed and executed to be perfect. The experience is built around a genuine eco resort feel. We stayed 3 nights at Gal Oya, which felt a bit long as there was quite a bit of downtime. In saying that, it allowed us to do both a land safari and a boat safari and we were extremely lucky to see many many elephants, all to ourselves. Anuradha is a great asset to the place, brigning his knowledge, calm and down to earth nature and great energy. He looked after us and took us on some extra bushwalk around the place, maybe sensing that we needed a bit more acitivity. He showed us all the local plants and food, and I would suggest it would be nice if it was used in the cooking. The food was good, not a great variety as someone else said but they're probably trying to find out what works, with so many different travellers from everywhere. The breakfasts were absolutely great, we loved the egg hoppers. I mark the rating down for cleanliness as our room wasn't made at all during the entire stay. It was disappointing to realise that when we came back from a safari in the evening on day 2. The next day I asked if the room could be made, thinking someone forgot and might even get in trouble for it. I was told yes it would be done but again, the room wasn't done at all. Surely, the room should be cleaned on a daily basis, there is even a sign for it on the door. That was the only downside all in all! Highly recommended, and I wish Gal Oya retreat all the best, given it is a very new enterprise.

TtorinessKeeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.

SSamar13J’ai apprécié l’emplacement un peu à l’écart de la grande avenue, mais il est vrai que le soir la rue est sombre. La chambre est grande avec un grand balcon, la literie est confortable. Par contre je n’ai pas aimé que le petit déjeuner soit mentionné et qu’on m’ait averti la veille qu’il ne le servaient pas sans même trouver d’alternative. Le wifi n’est pas du tout stable et la communication avec le gérant est presque inexistante. On ne m’a jamais répondu ni pour le petit déjeuner ni pour le wifi

리리뷰어Приехали уставшими и не в духе, но нас так душевно встретили, что настроение поднялось сразу. Хозяева напоили чаем, пообщались по-домашнему – чувствуешь себя не клиентом, а желанным гостем.
Отель на вершине горы, и из каждого номера – выход на террасу с потрясающим видом. Утром просыпаешься – а перед тобой только горы и тишина. Номер чистый, уютный, всё продумано до мелочей.
Завтрак готовили специально под наши предпочтения: свежие фрукты, яичница, тосты, даже смузи! Персонал не формально вежливый, а по-настоящему добрый.
Если хотите не просто переночевать, а почувствовать заботу и отдохнуть душой – это точно ваше место. Хочется вернуться снова и всем рекомендовать. Огромное спасибо хозяевам за такую атмосферу!

KKiana MendozaIt’s a little high up on a hill, but the view from my balcony was gorgeous. It’s also right off the main street, so if you don’t mind the trek up and down you’re still relatively well-situated to be near the backpackers’ bars and restaurants and shops. Breakfast had a lot of local Sri Lankan options which I greatly appreciated, and staff was also happy to explain each dish to newcomers.
A small piece of advice for the team though: perhaps hire a few female staffers? As a woman traveling alone, one of the first things I noticed was the all-male staff—or at least, I didn’t see a single woman working there in my 2-night stay. I don’t have a problem with it, but newer solo female travelers might unintentionally be scared off
