We checked into the hotel on Saturday evening and ate a meal outside of the hotel in the local town. We returned to the bar for a drink - we approached the bar and noted there were spills of beer and other liquids (on the customers side) !!! It took at least 5 mins before any of the 3 staff came to serve us. We also had issues with the service at breakfast - I have spoken to the manager who will address my issues with the newly appointed supervisor.

As this was a celebratory stay for our 10 year anniversary we enjoyed every minute. Just not long enough. From the moment we arrived we were greeted and upgraded rooms. Treated like family. We have stayed here over 4/5 times and love it and as always the food was excellent.

Wonderful retreat with complete enjoyment inside the wood! Once in a lifetime experience that we can lying on the bed to see stars, moon, wind, birds, rain, dawn, with wake up calls by birds singing, that’s truly amazing!

Had a great stay . Great meal . Breakfast was very good and staff are all lovely and very welcoming . Beds and pillows so comfy . Overall great stay . Highly recommend.
