以前的珠江的游船码头主要集中在老城区的大沙头码头、天字码头、西堤码头，随着城市景观带往东发展，海心沙也建起了码头，其中东区码头是红船的启航地，搭乘该船既可以看改造过的粤剧，同时进行珠江夜游。前往码头的公共交通不太方便，就算坐APM线到海心沙站过来也有四五百米。码头设施挺简陋，不过外围环境不错，夜景尤其棒。
