The Biodome is a facility located at Olympic Park that allows visitors to walk through replicas of four ecosystems found in the Americas. Walking distance from our place. A great place to visit with kids. Closed on Mondays

Originally constructed for the 1976 Summer Olympic Games, the Biodome was renovated in the late 1980s and transformed into an ecological facility, opening in June 1992. From the top and the side, the structure, designed by Roger Taillibert, resembles the model of an alien spaceship. It was originally the venue for cycling and judo events in the Olympic Games, but now houses exhibits on ecosystems, including Sub-Antarctic Islands, the Laurentian Maple Forest, and a Tropical Rainforest. So, I suppose this is the one exception to the “outside” theme—though, I would argue that the Biodome turns the outside inside! If you don’t mind crowds, it’s definitely worth meandering your way through the rainforest, where you’ll see reptiles like the anaconda, birds like tanagers and parrots, and mammals like the two-toed sloth.

Basically it is Montreal's zoo. But it consists of 4 ecosystems and they are extremely well designed and kept. Worth it checking it out if you are interested in animals. Especially tropical animals. You can also see a beaver, so its a bonus.
