I stayed at Azulik Tulum in one of the smallest rooms, and I have mixed feelings — both admiration and realism. First, let’s be honest: Azulik is visually stunning. Architecturally, it’s a dream — truly built for aesthetics and Instagram. The design is beautiful, organic. From a visual and conceptual point of view, it’s easily 100/100. However, when it comes to comfort and practicality, it’s a very different story. Azulik is a pure jungle experience. That can be magical, but it also means: Very limited privacy A toilet behind a divider No hot water at night Minimal comfort overall I understand this is intentional and part of the concept, but when rooms can cost up to $2,000 per night, you naturally expect a balance between artistic experience and luxury comfort — especially at that price point.  The room itself was cute, but definitely not designed for longer stays. This is not a place you want to stay more than 1–2 nights max. After that, the lack of comfort becomes noticeable. Service was not good. I understand this is Mexico and things move differently, but for a hotel with such an international reputation, staff speaking English should be standard, especially since most guests are travelers from the other countries. The beach service closes early (around 4–5 PM), so the experience feels very limited. A few small but important details: The matches in the room were extremely horrible to light, which becomes frustrating when candles are the main source of light, and I love candles idea but if you are reader this hotel not for you! Cleaning could be better.  Hot water should really be available 24/7 at this level. Overall, Azulik is an artistic, aesthetic, and spiritual concept, not a comfort-driven luxury hotel. If you come knowing that — and stay one or two nights only — it can be a beautiful experience. I think its important to remind guest on checking in what are they signing for, coz people don't like to read descriptions and coming for views then being disappointed. Come for the vibe, architecture, and photos. Don’t come expecting classic luxury or comfort. Beautiful idea, powerful concept — but it could truly shine even more with better service, basic comfort, and attention to detail. And I`m not asking a lot here.

The strength of this hotel is the great built-in spa within the hotel property! Stay here if you want to enjoy a beautiful spa experience only steps away from your hotel room. Don’t stay here is you expect to be close to downtown. It’s at least a twenty minute walk to downtown, including if you just need a quick drink from a convenience store, and having to take a taxi each time quickly adds up! Don’t even think about walking to and from the hotel after sunset as the mosquitoes will eat you very quickly (you won’t even make it half way). Hence, I sort of wished I picked any hotel closer to downtown as I believe their premium is worth it just on this fact alone. Don’t stay here if you want variety with the included breakfast. The complimentary breakfast will have you searching for the rooftop entrance across the street, climb the stairs to be presented three preset breakfast options; omelette or scrambled eggs with either cheese or ham or pancakes. Granted, a bit of fruits and yogurt is included along with the eggs, but it’s pretty basic. Though I’m not complaining when you get to have freshly prepared breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the Holbox white beach! Just don’t expect much nor to have a variety of options. But it will get the job done! Breakfast was 8:30-10:30am and we hung around past that to enjoy coffee on the rooftop WIFI. Don’t stay here if you are expecting a good pool experience. The two small pools on the property aren’t running all the time so it doesn’t look appealing to get into. Don’t stay here if you are expecting a view from your hotel room. You won’t see any bit of the ocean - just the hotels in front and behind this hotel. We upgraded from the Double Room to the King suite and really glad we did because we got a nice balcony and comfortable bed with plenty of different pillow options. We also looked into upgrading to the King suite with bathtub option but glad we didn’t opt for it as the bathtub didn’t look appealing and just took up all the living room space. We wish the rooms were a bit more spacious, with perhaps some living room furniture, otherwise you just get a basic bed with nightstands, TV with basic cable and basic bathroom. The water pressure was good and quickly warmed up. The room AC was great and didn’t need to be run long. The issue mainly was the poor insulating as we heard out downstairs neighbours and likely would have heard whoever was across from us if there was anyone. There was no safe or iron in the room unfortunately. If beach clubs are your thing, there are three decent options very close by. We checked out “HAU” beach club directly across from this hotel. This beach club didn’t have a minimum, had a generous happy hour (4-7pm), but unfortunately we got diarrhea after their mojitos. Although they were delicious mojitos so it’s hard to regret it. I primarily booked this place to get a great spa experience and they exceeded my expectations. Thus, based on this experience, this hotel deserves nothing less than five stars. I also can’t forget to mention the hotel staff were incredibly helpful during our stay. Shoutout to all the concierges and especially including Mateo, Almira and Marianna in the reservations department!

I found this property Ujo have good reviews on Trip.con and wanted to give it a try. I preferred apartment style stays cos the convenience of having a kitchen allows flexibility for diet-restricted people. The place looked modern and clean. Pretty spacious and functional. Has a balcony with a (not so grande, lol) view of the neighborhood. It was so hot outside even in November, like a sauna, so we didn’t spend anytime on the balcony and kept windows and doors shut to prevent heat and bugs. The AC and two ceiling fans in our room helped greatly for temperature control, making our stay comfortable. Note: the AC only works when you use the key card in the room — inserting it in the power slot and then AC can be turned on. Without a note about it, I thought the AC was not working. But glad the lady there helped to call and figure it out. Simple as that. The bathroom is interesting. It’s mostly good, got a ceiling shower and worked well. They provided organic wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The only part that didn’t make too much sense is the short half wall that is functioning as a divider between the shower part and the dry part of the bathroom. Water would easily splash out — it felt like it was designed for shorter users and didn’t account for a lot of tourists that are tall. Perhaps add a good old shower curtain? Mostly for the property’s own benefit of not getting the floor wet where it shouldn’t be. I sent a request when I booked the room for the hosts to spray bug sprays in the room prior to my arrival. They quickly acknowledged that after my booking and did that before I checked in. Much appreciation. When we checked out, we left our luggage to the host for a few hours. They are very helpful to put them away.  Also this place has bike rentals on site for a good price compared to what we saw outside of the property.  Finally, let’s talk about the overall area. We chose it also because it’s close location to ADO bus station as we came from Cancun via bus. We don’t have any interest in the crazy taxi prices and want to walk as much as we can. So this walkable property (less than 10minutes from Tulum ADO bus station) worked. I also chose it because it’s not on the Main Street where I looked at a lot of properties and found noise complaints. I cannot handle noise past 10pm. I need my rest. So overall, Ujo was quiet in itself, no really close-by clubs, no rooftop parties, and other visitors seemed respectful and not loud after 10pm. BUT, here is the reality, this is a town with many stray animals. And they sleep during the heated day time, and get active at night. So there were barking and meowing for sure that can pierce thru. As well as some traffic sound and remote club noises. Don’t expect 100% tranquility. I am fairly picky about noise but I would say given the town’s reality, this is a very decent spot. I was able to sleep thru the nights without much issue.  Overall the stay met the score it had on Trip.com (9.6/10) when I was booking. If I visit Tulum again, or if someone asked for a recommendation, I would stay/recommend this place.

다들 그러실텐데 액티비티하는 날 여기 묵었어요. 대형마트, 여인의섬 선착장, 코코봉고, 맛집 등 다 인근이라 위치가 최고구요. 호텔시설도 가격대비 이 정도면 만족이죠. 저흰 조식도 추가했었는데 빵이랑 커피 맛있었어요 올인크루시브랑 비교하는건 안맞지만 매일 생수도 2병씩 주시고, 칵테일도 먹을수 있구요.

칸쿤은 처음 방문이었는데, 이 호텔을 선택했습니다. 전반적으로 훌륭하고 만족스러운 숙박이었지만, 다시 칸쿤에 온다면 이 호텔을 선택할 확률은 50% 정도일 것 같습니다. 좋았던 점과 아쉬웠던 점들을 공유해볼게요. **좋았던 점:** 올 인클루시브 옵션으로 예약했기 때문에 모든 음식과 음료를 무료로 즐길 수 있었습니다. 특히 덱 레스토랑과 해변에서 제공되는 음식과 음료는 정말 완벽했습니다. 음식의 질이 매우 훌륭했고, 메뉴도 다양했으며, 과일과 음료는 단연 최고였습니다. 객실은 매우 넓었고, 발코니는 다소 작았지만 그래도 충분히 만족스러웠습니다. 호텔은 그리스 산토리니를 연상시키는 매력적인 분위기를 가지고 있었습니다. 방은 매우 깨끗하고 시원했으며, 냉장고에는 항상 음료가 가득 채워져 있었습니다. 호텔에서는 다양한 액티비티도 제공했습니다. 저는 개인적으로 휴식을 원했기 때문에 참여하지는 않았지만, 선택의 폭이 넓어 보였습니다. **아쉬웠던 점:** 올 인클루시브였음에도 불구하고, 일부 고급 레스토랑은 포함되지 않아 추가 요금을 내야 한다고 들었습니다. 2박 3일 짧은 일정이라 덱 레스토랑만으로도 만족했지만, 더 오래 묵었다면 다른 곳들도 가보고 싶었을 것 같습니다. 마사지 서비스에 대한 과도한 판매 압력도 불편했습니다. 처음에 호텔 측에서 캐나다인이라는 이유로 무료 마사지를 제안했습니다. 하지만 나중에 제가 학생이라는 것을 알게 되자, 직장인만 해당된다며 바로 취소했습니다. 사실 처음부터 마사지를 원했던 것은 아니었지만, 개인 정보를 얻기 위해 제안했다가 그렇게 급작스럽게 취소하는 방식은 마음에 들지 않았습니다. 또 다른 단점은 소음이었습니다. 밤에는 밤 9시 30분부터 거의 11시까지 노래방 같은 시끄러운 노랫소리가 들렸습니다. 낮에는 몇 시간 동안 공사 현장의 드릴 소리가 계속되었습니다. 조용한 호텔을 찾는 분들에게는 이곳이 적합하지 않을 것 같습니다. 처음 Trip.com을 통해 예약할 때 킹사이즈 침대가 있는 객실을 예약했습니다. 그러나 체크인 시 호텔 측에서는 킹룸이 없다고 하면서, 160달러를 추가하면 더 넓은 발코니와 킹사이즈 침대가 있는 오션뷰 룸으로 업그레이드할 수 있다고 권유했습니다. 저는 거절했고, 결국 퀸사이즈 침대 두 개, 더 작은 발코니, 그리고 부분 오션뷰가 있는 객실을 배정받았습니다. 솔직히 말하면, 그 객실에도 만족했습니다. 호텔은 호텔 존의 거의 중앙에 위치해 있었는데, 북쪽이나 남쪽으로 너무 치우치지 않았습니다. 저는 전용 밴을 예약했고, 공항에서 호텔까지 약 20~25분 정도 걸렸습니다. 라 이슬라 몰이 근처에 있다고 들었지만, 지나가면서 보니 많은 상점들이 문을 닫은 상태였습니다. 활기찬 쇼핑몰을 기대하고 오신다면 실망할 수도 있으니 참고하세요.

칸쿤 올인클루시브 리조트 수십군데를 가봤지만 템테이션만한 곳이 없어요. 우리는 20대 후반의 미국 아시아인이며 이곳에서 정말 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 바이브(Vibe) - 섹시한 직원과 상반신을 노출한 옵션 수영장이 있는 에너지 넘치는 파티 분위기입니다. 커플이 휴가를 즐길 수 있는 완전히 평온하고 편안한 환경입니다. 음식 - 음식에 대한 엇갈린 리뷰를 읽었지만 이용 가능한 음식의 품질과 옵션에 놀랐다고 말하고 싶습니다! 나는 매일 먹어보고 싶은 놀라운 요리를 많이 먹었습니다. 나는 스테이크 버거, 문어, 새우 칵테일, 스시 등을 좋아했습니다. 음료 - 또한 Don Julio, 블랙 라벨 등과 같은 다양한 선택과 품질 옵션이 있다는 사실에 즐겁게 놀랐습니다. 서비스 - 올인클루시브 호텔에서 기대할 수 있는 훌륭한 서비스입니다. 조용한 풀바에서 일하는 POLO에게 박수를 보내고 싶습니다. 다른 사람들도 모두 친절하고 도움이 되었습니다. 엔터테인먼트 - SHE 레스토랑은 그렇습니다. 재능 있는 댄서들이 무대와 폴에서 춤을 추는 모습을 보면서 5성급 수준의 식사를 즐겨보세요. 정말 좋은 경험이었습니다! 매일 늦은 오후에 수영장에서 쇼가 있는데 AF는 재미있지만 매우 장난스럽습니다. 군중은 그것을 좋아했고 완전히 다운되었습니다. 팁과 참고 사항 -그곳은 나쁜 곳이야. 감각적이고 성적인 주제, 냄새, 느낌이 널리 퍼져 있습니다. 모든 연령대의 매력적인 커플이 있으며, 많은 사람들이 함께 장난스러운 경험을 할 수 있습니다. 물론 모든 것은 당신에게 달려 있으며 모두가 존중합니다. 하지만 자신의 방에 있는 한 무엇이든 여기에 들어갈 수 있습니다. - 모두에게 팁을 주세요. 이는 근로자의 삶을 향상시키고 서비스도 향상시킬 것입니다! -배쉬 타워 발코니 객실에서는 커플이 ”쇼”를 펼치는 모습을 볼 수 있습니다. 우리는 뭔가 미친 것을 보고 싶었기 때문에 이 방을 예약했고 정말 많은 액션을 보았습니다! - 배시 타워 객실에서는 옥상 수영장과 온수 욕조를 이용하실 수 있습니다. 점심 식사를 하고 난폭한 섹시한 수영장에서 벗어나기에 좋습니다. -bash 나이트클럽은 항상 인기가 많아요. 거대한 바, LED 무대, 재능 있는 댄서들의 놀라운 야간 공연을 갖춘 야외 라스베가스 스타일 클럽입니다. 놓치지 마세요! - 여기서는 2~5박이면 충분합니다. 그렇지 않으면 파티에 빠질 수도 있습니다. -처음에 시분할 형태의 피치가 있는데, 우리는 하지 않았지만 그것은 당신에게 달려 있습니다. 당신은 약간의 공짜를 얻고 약속이 없으므로 시간에 달려 있습니다. - 젊은 층도 꽤 있지만, 평균은 확실히 40대입니다. 백인/히스패닉이 왜곡되어 리조트에 더 많은 아시아인이 있었으면 좋겠습니다. 그들은 아시아 인구 통계학적 존재감을 높이기 위해 trip.com의 가격을 더 좋게 만들어야 합니다. 그게 내 유일한 제안이야!

Standout was the unique rooms which are extremely private, spacious and beautifully designed along the lagoon. Personally I didn’t quite understand the ‘Butler’ concept and found some of the comms style a bit frustrating. The other standout was the ‘Day of the dead’ celebrations. The property was decorated beautifully and very well organised. The opportunity to also participate was great as we felt emerged in the festivities. It would have been nice if the dinner package also included the face painting. More broadly the property is set within mayakoba so you can explore the grounds including the other hotels and it was fun to explore on the bikes. The only other thing to be aware off is also this is the more premium / exclusive hotel in mayakoba it’s still geared towards families or at least there where quite a few kids around. Finally don’t have high expectations of the beach it’s tiny and there isn’t much space. If you want high end luxury visit Maroma.

이곳은 제가 지금까지 묵어본 호텔 중 단연 최고라고 할 수 있습니다. 객실은 넓고 편안하며 매일 청소해 줍니다. 올인클루시브 호텔이라 모든 음식과 음료가 훌륭합니다. 특히 해변 레스토랑을 강력 추천합니다. 저녁에는 꼭 예약하세요. 분위기가 정말 좋고, 바닷바람을 맞으며 일몰을 감상하는 것은 더할 나위 없이 편안한 경험입니다. 호텔 바로 앞에는 고운 모래사장이 펼쳐진 전용 해변이 있습니다. 수영장과 온천도 있습니다. 다른 호텔과 연결되어 있어 일부 레스토랑과 수영장 시설을 공유할 수 있습니다. 매일 저녁 8시 30분에는 강당에서 무료 공연이 있습니다. 요컨대, 가격 대비 최고의 만족도를 선사하는 훌륭한 호텔입니다. 강력 추천합니다.

이번이 이 호텔에 네 번째 숙박인데, 솔직히 좀 지겹네요. 리조트에는 온수 수영장이 다섯 개나 있습니다. 주변 해변은 수심이 6미터나 되고 해초가 많아서 물에 들어갈 수가 없어요. 게다가 체크아웃 시간이 오전 10시라서 제 수면 패턴이 완전히 망가졌습니다. 도대체 어느 호텔이 오전 10시에 체크아웃을 하나요? 체크인 시간은 오후 4시부터입니다. 그러니까 하루만 묵으면 호텔에서 쓸 수 있는 시간은 고작 18시간밖에 안 되는 거죠. 객실 중 일부는 리모델링을 했지만, 제가 25년 전에 처음 묵었을 때의 바닥재가 그대로 남아있는 객실도 있습니다. 제가 묵었던 방도 원래 바닥재였어요. 프런트에서 처음 배정해준 방은 1층 맨 끝자락에 있었는데, 바닥이 약간 솟아오른 것처럼 보였고 방 상태도 엉망이었습니다. 두 번째로 배정해준 방은 악취가 났어요. 이 호텔의 음식과 음료는 정말 비쌉니다. 마가리타 한 잔에 13달러에서 17달러 정도 하는데, 너무 비싸요. 아침 식사는 뷔페에서 가져다주기 때문에 절대 시키지 마세요. 차갑게 식어 있을 겁니다. 아침 식사는 1인당 550페소 정도 하는데, 맛은 괜찮았지만 특별한 건 없었습니다. 카푸치노나 라떼도 무료로 제공되지 않아요. 게다가 체크인하는 데에도 15분이나 걸립니다. 저는 이 리조트에 총 네 번 묵었는데, 다시는 안 갈 거예요. 해변은 해초로 뒤덮여 있어서 수영할 만한 곳이 전혀 없었습니다. 정말 실망스러웠어요. 리조트 안에 작은 마켓이 있는데, 로스앤젤레스에서 6달러면 살 수 있는 샴페인이 여기서는 53달러나 합니다. 터무니없이 비싸요. 가성비가 최악입니다. 세 번째로 묵었던 방은 그나마 괜찮았습니다. 객실은 넓었고, 체크인해 주신 직원분께서 라군 쪽 발코니가 있는 객실로 업그레이드해 주셔서 좋았습니다. 세금 포함해서 하룻밤에 약 140달러를 지불했는데, 솔직히 85달러 정도의 호텔이라고 생각합니다. 웨스틴 호텔 수준에는 한참 못 미칩니다. 객실에 페인트가 살짝 벗겨진 부분도 있었는데, 아마 제가 너무 예민하게 구는 걸지도 모르겠습니다. 객실 조명도 그다지 밝지 않아서 책을 읽기가 좀 어려웠습니다.
