"Clean and quiet room and friendly staff. However disappointed by the closed pool and SPA/Massage facilities and personnel. Only one person for massage and therefore full and they couldn’t arrange time for me and my wife to get it at least consequently. On the other hand I was unlucky because that week, sea was forbidden due to pollution from dead fishes. So I can’t comment on sea in front of the hotel."

"My husband and I spent ten wonderful days in this hotel at the beginning of August. The hotel is in a great location, and a large and free parking lot is right across the street. Volos Palace is within walking distance of the main streets, shopping area, numerous restaurants and promenades by the sea. We had a spacious, beautiful and comfortable room on the fifth floor. We especially enjoyed the large terrace with a direct view of the harbor and the sea. The room was excellent and maintained daily, the air conditioner worked flawlessly. The breakfast was varied and everything was delicious. The staff is extremely friendly. I would especially like to highlight the receptionists who were always ready to help us and answer all our questions (mostly beaches, restaurants, things to visit in Volos and the surrounding area, etc.). We are planning to stay at the Volos Palace Hotel next year as well. All recommendations!"

"Room was very clean, big and comfortable, the airco works beautifully and it’s very needed. Employees are nice and useful. The location is good, as long as you have a car because it is located at the entrance of the town and although is very close by the small center, there is no walking path, just the car road so you need a car to go any direction. It’s anyways the case of you traveled there but the center of the town is rather messy with the car. The breakfast is nice and complete but it is very weird that they do not offer any other coffee but filter coffee, if you want any combination of coffee with milk you need to order it and pay for it. The only milk available is cold milk so not event warm milk for mixing with the filter coffee, it is not a big deal but it is the first time I encountered such a thing."

"Just a one-night stay, but I was impressed by the courtesy and welcoming of the staff. The room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. The hotel is mostly made up of two-storey houses built on a hill overlooking the city of Volos with nice pathways and a swimming pool and bar in the middle. Although it was almost fully-booked, the peace and quiet was overwhelming at night. Short distance from Portaria main square, take your car there if you cannot handle the steep 15-minute walk."

"We had the friendliest welcome of all our stays this trip. We are on a ladies motorbike tour of Greece so a warm welcome and immediate space made available for our bikes right outside the hotel was hugely appreciated. The rooms exceeded all expectation with thoughtful touches like a separate makeup face towel and toiletries which were lovely. Fluffy dressing gowns and slippers made it feel much more luxurious than the stars and price would suggest and the bed was the most comfortable of the whole trip for me. Air con worked perfectly so I got the best night sleep also and woke to an outstanding breakfast! Highly recommended and we’re very likely to stop off again on the way back through."

"Overall, our stay there was awesome, it should probably be a 5-star hotel. The cleanliness, personal friendliness and openness, the services and breakfast were great, everything is luxury there, however, we made a huge mistake when booking the hotel New Year's Eve dinner, which was so expensive (125 eur for 2 people), only food included (which was not good at all) and a dj mixing most of the time oldies (even though I personally like old music, for this time of the year, it's not suitable). The beverages you wanted (no matter which type) was outside the offer, so you have to pay it separately, besides what it was already paid for that dinner, which was served in the breakfast area (no space to move around, dance, etc.). I highly recommend this place for vacation but unless there are better prices / offers for this type of events (e.g., the New Year's Eve), please do not waste your money on that."

"The hotel does not quite live up to 5-star standards, although it has a few positive aspects. The room was large and spacious, but poorly ventilated, with signs of dampness – which can be an issue, especially for guests with mold allergies. In the bathroom, several details required attention: the sink faucet was broken, the bathtub had no plug, the jacuzzi system was out of service, there was no shower curtain (making showers uncomfortable and slippery), and the entrance door was damaged. Additionally, the cabinet housing the fridge was swollen from moisture. Regarding general facilities, the absence of a terrace or balcony was a drawback. The air conditioning in the hallways was not working, and there was a persistent smell of fried food from the kitchen, combined with stained carpets in the corridors, which created an unpleasant atmosphere. At night, the noise from the air conditioning compressors was disturbing. As for the beach, I did not ask or check about its location, but the photos might give the impression that the hotel is right next to it – which is not the case. Breakfast was generous, though not very varied. Overall, the experience felt closer to a 3-star stay rather than a 5-star one."

The manager of the accommodation had informed us early on about all the necessary information for our arrival and welcomed us by giving us information about the nightlife in Volos. I definitely recommend it especially for couples or groups. It is in the center of Volos and everything is within 5 minutes!
