7.5/10 Location: Outside of “central” Athens but easily connected by metro & buses. Kifisia is gorgeous, safe, filled with high end boutiques, restaurants + cafes. Room/Ambience: Hotel itself is stunning + very relaxing vibe. Decor details incredible as expected of a boutique hotel of this nature.  Food: Very good selection of hot + cold, plus actual barista coffee. Do not expect American style breakfast - this is Europe after all. We did not eat lunch or dinner but the menus looked great and was filled with locals in the evening. Service: Although reception staff were sufficiently friendly, service very lacking for a high end boutique hotel. It was 26 degrees celsius every day while in Athens. Not prior to our stay, nor during check-in did anyone advise us that the pool was closed likely until end of May. This is not advertised on any booking platform, or on the hotel website, which was very disappointing. We sat in the pool lounge chairs for over two hours (staff saw us as the restaurant is immediately adjacent). Nobody offered us pool towels to lie on, or if we wanted to order any drinks or food. My partner had to get dressed, go to reception and ask. They didn’t even offer to clean the pool given the hot weather made it ready for use. It really put a downer on our stay, and why we opted not to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. Similar experience at breakfast; nobody offered us coffee orders, we heard someone else order and realised it was available.

This place is quite unusual. My room was upgraded so that I had a suite over two floors, with a small private pool on another lower level. Absolutely every convenience had been considered, some extras might verge on overkill (bog roll tied up with a ribbon for example). The room looked amazing on first inspection, but I quite quickly realised the smell of the pool was so strong it stung my eyes, and the sound of the ventilation unit was quite a roar. There was only one small openable window on the mezzanine level next to the bed and I had to sleep with that open as wide as possible. Bed was extremely comfortable, I had to turn off the pool ventilator unit in the middle of the night because it kept waking me up, but once I had done that and the smell of baking bread entered the room from a bakery down the road I slept like a log. Staff were really nice and friendly, but they are working with quite difficult circumstances and perhaps unnecessarily. The kitchen is on the bottom floor and breakfast is served on the 5th floor roof (from which you can see the Parthenon) breakfast is a little awkward as you get a huge wicker basket 🧺 full of food plus crepes, plus omelette, plus tuna sandwich, a whole baguette (some more little ribbons), and I am not sure anyone can eat as much as is provided, and the server had to keep travelling up and down in the one person elevator. Probably would be better to ask guests what they would like to have for breakfast out of the options available and have a coffee/tea station upstairs. There is the option to take lunch in your room - for which the picnic basket concept makes a lot more sense. Seems like there should be a way to make the place feel more efficient and common sensible. I did get the feeling that they might have only just opened and are finding their feet, so I hope this review will be useful - certainly was a generous accommodation and staff are working very hard to make sure guests have the best possible experience.

유일한 단점은 제가 신발을 신었을 때 키가 1.9미터인데, 침대가 완전히 눕는 용도로만 사용될 수 있다는 점입니다. 엎드려 누울 만큼 침대 길이가 충분하지 않고, 담요도 약간 짧아서 발부터 어깨까지 완전히 덮기가 어렵습니다. 하지만 잠자기에는 여전히 꽤 편안합니다. 위치도 좋고, 깨끗하고 깔끔하며, 모든 편의시설이 갖춰져 있습니다. 복도에 화장실과 샤워실이 있습니다. 옥상은 오후 9시에 문을 닫는데, 아크로폴리스 전망을 감상할 수 있는 수영장과 의자가 마련되어 있습니다. 객실에는 에어컨이 설치되어 있습니다. 직원들은 친절하고 전문적이며, 세면도구는 매일 교체해 줍니다. 필요한 것이 있으면 프런트 데스크에 말씀하시면 됩니다.

Review for NYX Esperia Palace Athens – Luxurious Stay with a Few Caveats We stayed at NYX Esperia Palace Athens for four full days – two couples, each in an Executive Suite with access to the business lounge. The welcome was warm and efficient, and we received our rooms exactly at 3:00 PM, as per hotel policy. The suites were clean, stylish, and well-equipped with amenities such as disposable toothbrushes, shaving kits, loofahs, a hairdryer, and more. One of our suites, located on the 7th floor, even had a partial view of the Acropolis, which was a lovely bonus. The room’s climate, lighting, and curtains were all operated through digital controls, designed to pamper guests — although, in practice, they were not very intuitive and required a bit of trial and error. For instance, turning off the bedside light required getting up and walking to a control panel. The TV included Israeli channels (11, 12, and 13), which we appreciated. Breakfast on the 10th floor was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options, and the waiter service was above average. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional care provided by Ilia, the hotel's Public Relations Manager. She guided us almost from the moment we arrived until we left — recommending excellent tavernas, booking taxis, restaurants, and arranging a private guided tour. On our last day, we were also warmly greeted by Dionysia in the lounge — charming and attentive. That said, there were some drawbacks: Reception service was inconsistent – not all staff members were welcoming; some appeared cold or offered forced smiles. The business lounge was disappointing – small, crowded, with modest food and drink offerings and uninspiring seating. It felt more like a repurposed room than a proper lounge. The pools require advance reservation, with no room for spontaneity. Usage hours are segmented (e.g., 1–4 PM or 4–7 PM), and spots after 7 PM are very limited. The rooftop pool area is crowded, and the adjacent restaurant is also open to non-guests. Rooftop restaurant experience: One evening we returned from a night out and hoped to enjoy a drink with a view. Although two front-row tables overlooking the Acropolis were available, we were initially told they were reserved. Minutes later, we were informed we could sit there for a €25 minimum spend per person. The sudden shift from ”reserved” to ”available for a price” was off-putting — especially as hotel guests staying in suites. The guided tour recommended by the hotel involved nearly 4 hours of driving during a 5-hour trip, leaving us with very little time at each stop. We suggest skipping it. Bottom line: The hotel is modern, very clean, and the suites are luxurious. Service is mostly excellent, particularly thanks to Ilia and Dionysia. However, don't count on spontaneous access to the pool or rooftop restaurant — enjoying those requires planning ahead, much like booking a theater show. If you value well-designed suites and structured experiences, this hotel may be a great fit. If you’re looking for flexibility and full-day pampering from hotel facilities — you might find it a bit limiting.

Posizione buona del hotel, servizi scarsi, pulizia ottima, ad ogni orario, e staff molto gentile, colazione abbondante, però mai variabile, sempre le solite cose, dopo 3 giorni stufa mangiare sempre le stesse cose. Parcheggio non disponibile in loco come riferito!!! Questa cosa da cambiare assolutamente siccome un cliente può essere alla ricerca di qualche hotel con unicamente un parcheggio privato disponibile in loco!! Per essere un 4 stelle mi aspettavo perlomeno, i spazzolini usa e getta e un rasoio usa e getta…… Però forse è chiedere troppo (?) Per il resto ottimo qualcosina da migliorare! Però ci ritornerei.

처음 묵는 호텔이었는데 정말 멋진 숙박이었습니다. 402일 동안 방에 있었어요. 유일하게 책임지길 바랐던 건 문 밑 부분이 얼마나 조금 손상됐는지, 그렇지 않았는지 뿐입니다. 쉽게 닫았습니다. 청소할 때 매우 친절했던 소녀들에게 지적했고 그들이 다음 예약을 위해 잘 처리하고 고칠 것이라고 생각합니다. 그렇지 않으면 제가 트리트먼트를 받은 스파를 포함하여 이 호텔의 모든 것이 훌륭했습니다. 여자들은 매우 친절했고 물론 파이 커팅을 하러 갔던 레스토랑에도 사람들이 매우 친절했고 음식도 아주 좋았습니다.

Very accomodating service with great amenities. Great rooftop bar and pool with a view of the acropolis. It is slightly out of the main tourist area of Plaka- about 15 min walk to the acropolis.

칸디아 호텔은 짐이 많았는데도 기차역에서 아주 가깝고 편하게 걸어갈 수 있는 거리였습니다. 정보에 나와 있는 시간보다 한 시간 일찍 체크인할 수 있었고, 프런트 직원분들도 매우 친절하고 도움이 많이 되었습니다. 호텔에서 테살로니키 지하철역까지도 도보로 가까웠고, 거기서 지하철을 타면 짧은 시간 안에 (맨 앞자리에 앉으면 정말 신났습니다!) 모든 박물관과 시내 중심가에 갈 수 있었습니다. 칸디아 호텔 객실은 매우 넓었고 욕실도 컸으며, 매우 편안하고 깨끗하며 안락했습니다. 창문에 셔터가 있어서 아침에 아주 좋았습니다. 덕분에 햇살 때문에 잠에서 깨지 않을 수 있었어요! 조식은 정말 훌륭했고, 다양한 종류의 따뜻한 음식과 차가운 음식이 제공되었습니다. 특히 과일과 요구르트를 좋아했는데, 건강한 토핑으로 올릴 수 있는 다양한 추가 재료들이 있어서 좋았습니다. 수영장은 활기 넘쳤고, 햇살 아래에서 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 도움을 줄 수 있는 직원분들도 많았고, 덕분에 숙박이 더욱 멋졌습니다. 호텔 꼭대기에서 바라보는 전망도 아주 멋졌는데, 사진을 좀 더 찍어둘 걸 아쉬웠습니다! 테살로니키는 문화를 즐기는 여행객들에게 정말 많은 것을 제공하는 도시이고, 그래서 제가 이곳에 머물기로 결정했습니다.

호텔은 깔끔했어요. 나는 호텔의 미니멀리스트 스타일을 좋아합니다. 아주 새로운 것 같습니다. 리셉션 공간은 밝고 반짝였습니다. 고급스럽습니다. 호텔에는 옥상 레스토랑과 수영장이 있습니다(여름에도 수영이 가능한지는 모르겠습니다). 그렇게 크지는 않습니다. 옥상에서는 파르테논 신전이 보입니다. 좋았어! 직원들은 친절하고 도움이 됩니다. 우리 모두 알고 있듯이 호텔 가격은 비싸지만 음식은 괜찮고 음료도 좋았습니다. 방은 충분히 넓었지만 필요할 때 리셉션에 전화하는 데 사용할 전화가 없었습니다. 그래도 네스프레소가 있어서 좋았어요. 위치는 플라카와 아크로폴리스와 그리 가깝지 않습니다. 거리는 거의 1km가 넘지만 직선입니다. 당신이 보행자라면, 그것은 좋은 워밍업이 될 것입니다. 그들은 언제든지 택시를 불러줄 수 있었고 우리에게 필요한 모든 정보를 갖고 있었습니다. 단점: 엘리베이터 속도가 느리고 복도와 도로 소음이 쉽게 들립니다. 방의 방음을 위해 뭔가를 해주기를 바랍니다.

전반적으로 좋은 가격에 좋은 호텔입니다. 위치가 좋습니다. 지하철역과 아크로폴리스 정문까지 도보로 5~10분 거리입니다. 그리고 제우스 신전 바로 맞은편에 있어요. 근처에 카페가 몇 군데 있습니다. 호텔 로비가 정말 아름다워요! 마치 왕과 같죠. 객실은 훨씬 단순하고 욕실은 물론 매우 오래되었지만, 그게 다입니다. 방음이 잘 안 돼요(밤에 이웃집에서 물을 내리는 소리 때문에 깨어났어요). 아침 식사는 간단하지만, 그게 필요한 전부입니다. 아름다운 전망을 감상하세요. 수영장이 작동하지 않았습니다.
