The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

Absolutely incredible stay! I would highly recommend this resort to anyone planning a trip to Hurghada. Xanadu Club Makadi Bay is easily one of the finest high-class hotels in the region, offering a true luxury experience from the moment you step in. The dining experience was exceptional. The main restaurant offers a fantastic variety of delicious, high-quality food that changes daily, so you never get bored. On top of that, the à la carte restaurants were absolutely amazing, serving top-tier dishes with beautiful presentation and exquisite flavors. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the service. The entire staff operates at a level that is above and beyond. Everyone we met was incredibly polite, respectful, and always greeted us with a genuine smile. They are truly dedicated to making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and their hospitality is highly appreciated. The pools are pristine, crystal clear, and wonderfully maintained, and the resort's grounds and gardens are beautiful and spotless. The aqua park is a lot of fun, but if there is one weak spot in the entire resort, it would have to be the aqua park area and the wave pool. They both feel a bit outdated and are in desperate need of renovation to match the ultra-luxury, high-class standard of the rest of the hotel. Also, the bar in that specific area is quite basic and could definitely use an upgrade in quality and service. Despite that minor point, we were absolutely delighted with our vacation. We had a wonderful time, felt extremely pampered, and we will definitely be returning to Xanadu Club Makadi Bay for our next holiday!

소마 베이는 호텔 지구입니다. 근처 상업 거리, 레스토랑, 슈퍼마켓까지 셔틀 버스가 있지만 배차 간격이 꽤 깁니다. 실제로 보드워크에 가장 가까운 호텔이 여러 개 있지만 국내 플랫폼에서는 예약할 수 없습니다. 쉐라톤은 걸어서 갈 만큼 멀지 않지만 켐핀스키는 상업 거리에 더 가깝지만 보드워크에서 더 멀리 떨어져 있습니다. 바다 전망이 아름답고 스노클링도 좋습니다. 다만 호텔이 리노베이션 중이라 아침 식사 공간이 붐비고 시끄러웠지만 음식은 괜찮았습니다. 올인클루시브 패키지가 아니어서 저녁 식사는 시도하지 않았습니다. 객실은 일반적인 메리어트였고 룸서비스는 느렸는데, 아마도 사람이 너무 많았기 때문일 것입니다. 물이 나오는 데 몇 시간이 걸렸고 여러 번 전화해야 했습니다... 아마도 해변 근처 빌라 지역은 수리가 끝나면 훨씬 더 좋아져서 보드워크에 가는 것이 더 편리해질 것입니다.

아직 완전히 완공되지 않은 작고 멋진 호텔입니다. 최상층과 체육관은 아직 공사 중입니다. 그리고 마감이 곳곳에 좀 허술합니다. 이집트 사람들은 수평계를 모르는 것 같아요 😜 멋진 자쿠지 스위트를 받았는데, 침대와 욕조가 좋았습니다. 어디서든 멋진 전망을 즐길 수 있습니다. 바다 옆 비치 바에는 아름다운 테라스가 있어 만을 바라보며 오후에 간식과 피자를 먹을 수 있습니다. 저녁에는 항상 커다란 바다거북이 나타나는데, 정말 멋진 광경입니다! 아침 식사는 연어까지 나올 정도로 좋았습니다. 뷔페 레스토랑의 점심과 저녁 식사는 맛있었습니다. 메인 요리의 선택지가 그리 많지는 않았지만, 손님이 많지 않아서 그랬던 것 같습니다. 하지만 디저트는 종류가 많고 예뻤습니다. 스시도 맛있었습니다. 아쉽게도 야외에 앉을 수 없었습니다. 식당은 여전히 음향이 좋지 않습니다. 아 라 카르테 아시안 레스토랑은 정말 맛있었습니다! 다만 분위기는 좀 덜 아늑했습니다. 와인과 칵테일은 좋았습니다. 에스프레소 머신도 있었습니다. 이제 바리스타 코스만 있으면 완벽할 것 같습니다. 6명으로 구성된 애니메이션 팀. 아쿠아짐은 좋았지만, 나머지는 굳이 필요 없었습니다. 가끔 미니 디스코 같고 시끄러운 음악이 나왔습니다. 그래도 직원들은 친절했습니다. 수영장과 해변에서 서비스가 제공됩니다. 하지만 웨이터가 좀 더 많으면 좋겠습니다. 전반적으로 좋았고, 우리는 분명히 다시 올 것입니다!

저희는 4월 초에 재즈 호텔의 디럭스 풀뷰 퀸룸에서 4일 동안 묵었습니다. 장점: - 호텔 위치가 매우 편리합니다. 관광객들이 많이 찾는 산책로에 있으며 공항과도 가깝습니다. - 수영장이 정말 훌륭합니다. 호텔에는 총 6개의 수영장이 있는데, 메인 수영장에서는 자리를 찾기가 어려울 때도 있었지만, 다른 수영장들은 분위기가 좋고 편안해서 항상 자리를 찾을 수 있었습니다. - 레스토랑 음식은 최고 수준입니다. 제가 경험해 본 최고의 요리 중 하나였고, 매일 메뉴가 다양했으며 특히 이집트 음식과 해산물에 중점을 둔 점이 마음에 들었습니다. 레스토랑의 총괄 셰프가 직접 저녁 식사를 관리하고 매일 메뉴를 추천해 주었습니다. 단점: - 직원들은 친절하지만 다른 호텔에서 경험했던 것처럼 적극적으로 도와주려는 모습은 보이지 않았습니다. 서비스가 때때로 느릴 수 있습니다. - 객실 가구는 현대적이지만, 다소 사용감이 느껴지고 관리가 잘 되어 있지 않습니다. - 객실은 깨끗하지만, 이 가격대에서 기대하는 수준의 청결도는 아닙니다. - 인터넷 속도가 상당히 느려서(2-3Mbps) 스트리밍은 불가능합니다. - 매일 밤 엔터테인먼트 프로그램이 있지만, 제가 경험했던 다른 호텔들에 비해 다양성이나 풍성함이 부족합니다. 이 호텔은 조용하고 편안한 분위기를 선호하고 야간 활동에는 관심이 없는 노년층 여행객을 대상으로 하는 것 같다는 인상을 받았습니다. 하지만 제가 방문했던 시기 때문일 수도 있습니다. 전반적으로는 괜찮은 경험이었고, 제가 언급한 단점들은 사소한 지적일 수 있지만, 솔직히 이 가격대라면 완벽한 서비스를 기대하게 되고, 후르가다에서 이 가격대에 더 나은 경험을 했던 곳들이 있습니다. Jaz 호텔의 유일한 장점은 레스토랑의 수준 높은 서비스입니다.

프런트 데스크에서의 체크인 과정은 믿을 수 없을 정도로 느렸습니다. 10분 넘게 기다렸는데, 배정받은 방은 제가 예약했던 오션뷰 객실과는 완전히 다른, 벽을 마주 보고 있는 방이었습니다! 너무 화가 나서 결국 오션뷰 객실로 바꿔달라고 했습니다. 체크인 전에 프런트 데스크에서 모든 것을 확인하는 것이 좋습니다. 객실이 프런트 데스크에서 꽤 멀리 떨어져 있고, 레스토랑은 프런트 데스크 맞은편에 있어 해변까지 걸어가야 하기 때문입니다. 호텔 수영장과 해변에서는 무슬림 복장 착용이 금지되어 있지 않습니다. 청결도는 보통 수준이었고, 시설은 다소 오래되었습니다. 특히 어린이 놀이터 아래 수영장은 매우 깊으니 주의해야 합니다. 구명요원이 있지만, 부모는 반드시 어린이와 동행해야 합니다. 음식은 일반적인 이집트 음식 수준이었습니다. 과일은 갓 잘라 나왔고, 매일 두 가지 요리가 제공되었습니다. 위치는 시내 중심부에 있어 괜찮고, 항구와도 매우 가깝습니다. 하지만 정문 왼쪽에 있는 여러 이집트 기념품 가게들은 추천하지 않습니다. 정말 물건을 사고 싶다면 단체로 가는 게 좋아요. 호텔에는 바로 바다로 나갈 수 있는 선착장이 있지만, 선장을 잘 골라야 해요. 호텔 주변 조경이 아름답고 고양이도 많고, 해변의 물은 아주 맑아서 작은 물고기와 바닷새들을 많이 볼 수 있었어요. 아침에는 해변에서 요가 수업이 있고 저녁에는 공연이 있어요. 이 근처에 호텔이 많으니 여러 곳에 묵으면서 다양한 경험을 해보는 것도 좋을 거예요.

泄湖景完全是來搞笑的，所謂泄湖就是個小水泡，陽臺中間還隔着一段距離和樹擋着，跟其他評論一樣，存在一定的歧視，但是大部份工作人員還是挺友善的，雖然這本來就是他們應該做的。中間想加錢升級海景，帶我們去看的也還是一個稍微大一點的水泡而已，工作人員告訴我這已經是最好的海景房了，最後並沒有升級，泳池開放時間特別晚關閉時間卻很早，如果要出海這家酒店完全沒必要，吃的甚至不如國內100塊錢人民幣的自助餐，基本都靠吃麪包吃飽的，我們拿行李小費給了一美金態度還可以，同行的另一對沒有零錢了給了10埃磅態度就很差，對於一家五星級酒店這種事不應該發生，還是建議加錢選擇更好的全包酒店，或者普通的全包，想省錢或者出海沒有時間在酒店那就市區選擇一家便宜的就好了，這邊出行也並不方便，最後，我們check out的時候工作人員態度非常好，忘記問他的名字了，當看到我們自己拿行李過來了一直在向我道歉，告訴我他們應該安排擺渡車過來接我們的，海邊和泳池邊工作人員也很好，太陽下山後我們想去游泳，海邊的工作人員告訴我太陽下山後海里很危險，並且開玩笑説會有鯊魚，泳池邊的工作人員很耐心的告訴我泳池關閉了，要消毒，會傷眼睛，總的來説，真的不值這個價

이 호텔은 시설이 좀 낡은 편이라 하룻밤 묵어가기에 적합합니다. 만약 정말 편안한 올인클루시브 호텔을 경험하고 싶다면 이곳은 추천하지 않지만, 첫날 늦게 도착해서 하룻밤만 머문다면 가성비는 괜찮은 편이에요. 덧붙이자면, 에피소드가 하나 있었는데요. 처음 배정받은 1층 방은 전등이 모두 고장 나 있었고, 심지어 발코니 문도 닫히지 않아 정말 놀랐습니다. 전화해서 문제점을 알렸더니, 바로 방을 바꿔주더군요. 비록 시설은 새것이 아니었지만, 방은 정말 넓었습니다. 제가 예약했을 당시에는 조식과 석식도 포함되어 있었는데, 1인당 200위안이 채 안 되는 가격이어서 가성비는 정말 최고였습니다.
