Hotel Mariant

Only spent a week at The Mariant .The staff were mainly helpful and friendly. Not many British at this hotel . Meal times hectic and noisy not a very relaxing experience. Plates were dirty so you would have to search for a clean one. Rooms were very clean and we had a lovely big terrace. Air con not very good but it might be lowered down because of the time of the season even though it was roasting . Lifts were very reliable. I imagine it would get far too busy at the height of the season around the pool area. The hotel is situated in a good part of the resort , a choice of 2 beaches and you can explore further a field to the rugged coastline. Bar closed early about 10.30 so we would go to the lively bar around the corner. Over all I enjoyed my stay at The Mariant but a week was long enough.

Room was okay size wasn’t cleaned every day no refills for toilet rolls Food was awful for all inclusive never again! Flies crawling all over the food,, meat raw ended up with food poisoning still sick now.. dirty dishes finding my self going threw plates just for a clean one. Flies and wasp hovering over drink machines possibly inside Basically same food everyday no juice served in doors for children only at breakfast time? No inside bars Entertainment was okay hotels is none English witch is hard for English tourists think we was the only English people there Indoor pool was not heated even tho states inside heated pool Kids club was shut everyday Pools where clean all outside was mopped on a daily Lifts need looking at.. List can go on for my little girls first holiday I was expecting better for her overall island is lovely I spent all my time out doors safe to say I’ll never book a all inclusive again I won’t be staying in This hotel ever again. Only good side it was close to beach and shops..

If you’re from the UK- save your money and don’t bother going! We arrived August 31st, was met by a dark hair lady at reception, she spoke the most English. She was polite and helpful. ( we was the only English speaking holiday makers in the hotel that we seen) We stayed in the annex, absolutely foul. The walls was mouldy, hair stuck to the skirting boards, dirt all over the white bathroom door. I could leave my home for a month and it still wouldn’t be that dirty. 2 days in the week your room won’t be cleaned as there’s 1 cleaner by the sounds of it as she needs her days off. We was all inclusive- so each meal time, same thing, food wasn’t labeled unless it was gluten free. Flies over the “fresh” fruit. The grill was handing out raw YES RAW meat. Drinks and snacks outside of meal times?? Well there’s no snack bar, and the snacks are left over cakes from meal times. Oh and if you don’t like they’re 1 specific brand of beer or cocktails ( upgrade to inclusive gold for cocktails €6 per person per day may I add and everyone in the same room has to upgrade) like us both then you’ll struggle to even get a alcoholic drink there. Staff was rude. We both smoke, we headed out to back of hotel and who I assume was the bar manager came out shouting at us telling us we are not allowed to smoke there and we need to leave the premises to smoke yet everyone else with a different nationality was smoking and wasn’t told to leave?! Entertainment was on twice the whole week, first night was a singer, again nothing spoken in English. Second entertainment was a child disco on the Saturday night. We ended up spending every evening/night in the pub around the corner which is open until 2am, hosted karaoke or we sat on sa coma beach. There is NOTHING nice to say about this hotel or the area of Sillot, we feel as thought we have completely been miss sold out holiday and been robbed of our money because we literally were there to sleep and shower we spent the rest of it at the sa coma beach or the pub. This hotel is far from welcoming to English people. There was a striking difference to how we were treated compared to other nationalities. Despite making an effort to speak Spanish, we did not get a single smile or any kind of positive response. As a vegetarian, I was not catered for at all, my son, a meat eater was very disappointed as the raw meat and cooked meat was handled by the same person with zero concern for hygiene. Often the chicken was almost raw. I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE. The resort itself is beautiful but I’m completely put off ever returning .

Absolutely wonderful hotel, well presented & clean. You couldn’t ask for a more amazing & polite staff. Food was plentiful, with lots of variety, we never ate out the entire stay. No rush for loungers round the salt water swimming pool. Everything you need is a stones throw away, including two beautiful beaches. Perfect for walkers or lazy sunbathers. It is family friendly, but geared more towards couples. We would absolutely stay here again.

Stay here for 10 nights like other reviews it a waste of money the hotel needs, some work doing on it the food is under cooked (chicken) the kitchen staff using the same gloves for raw food aswell has cooked food no cocktails on all inclusive unless you upgrade to plus at €6 per person that everyone in room even if they don't drink alcohol reception staffs was ok and a couple of bar staff pool wasn't bigger enough too many people only could stand in it would not go back
