This hotel is amazing. We had a small suite facing the ocean, with a balcony that looked down on the first terrace, the second terrace, and the pool. The views were incredible, and the hotel grounds we looked down upon were enchanting and in perfect condition. In the late afternoon there would be a pianist playing on the first terrace and we would open our windows and listen to the lovely music as we prepared for dinner. I have never been as charmed by a hotel as I was at Avino while listening to the piano music and seeing the beautiful grounds in the foreground and the sea in the background. There is also a small waterfall that added to the charming ambiance of our open-window experience. Our room was exceptionally comfortable and functional, with a wonderful bed and lovely bathroom, though I thought the coffee table books were a little pretentious (I would have preferred books on the Amalfi Coast over books on Italian fashion). The hotel staff was exceptional, and they arranged for a private car to take us to the starting point for hiking The Path of The Gods and to then pick us up afterwards in Positano. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at Rossellinis, though it ended a little pretentiously with the wait staff giving us a copy of a "keepsake" menu listing each element of our dinner. We wish we had stayed another day, but I guess that means we will need to return for another stay at Avino.
