This secluded estate on a mountain top overlooking the Pacific is surrounded by thousands of acres of virgin forest and is perfect for 3 couples or a large family. The main house has two master suites with large baths, one up & one down and a twin bed in the TV room with a full bath. The living area opens to a Lake Como style veranda that looks down on a beautiful cove and also has spectacular mountain views as does the open area covered dining area. The large pool is set between the main house and the casita. The casita has identical views and is complete with sitting area, kitchenette and small bath. If you are looking for a real getaway that is totally private with fantastic views you will not find anything better. There is a security gated entry and the villa is a 4 km scenic drive up the mountains. We are located half way between Samara & Nosara and only 3 km from the small fishing village of Garza. There are small quaint restaurants in Garza and numerous restaurants and amenities in those nearby popular towns. Get away from the tourist scene and have a secluded and romantic setting. The house was designed by the original owner to capture the spectacular views and prevailing breezes from the ocean. Wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys and nature's sounds. Many people live on the road, including me, and travel the roads regularly with no problem, but I want to be transparent about the potential dangers. The house sits on a mountain cliff with an unprotected steep drop. We advise extreme caution when bringing children.The house itself is on a mountain overlooking Playa Garza & Playa Guiones. It is 2 miles from the beaches of Garza ( 8-12 min drive) and 7 miles to the beaches of Guiones (20 min drive), this area is what most people know as NOSARA. I usually use the Guilded Iguana Beach resort as my “pin” when heading to town, because its centrally located and right off the beach. Access to the property is best by SUV or ATV, as the unpaved mountain roads can be rough on low to the ground rental cars. The main level of the house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms - one king, and one with two singles and a pull-out additional single bed. Downstairs is an in-law suite with a king, couch, kitchenette and full bath.There is an additional cabana, separate from the house, with a queen-sized bed, bathroom, and large couch. This additional space is only accessible to parties of 7 or greater.Other things to note:DISTANCES: 10 minutes to Samara. 5 minutes to Playa Buena Vista. 10 minutes to the exquisite Playa Barrigona. Now only 10 minutes to Garza and 20 minutes to Nosara on the newly paved route 160.The road from Samara up to the house, like many roads in Guanacaste, is rough. There is a river to cross during the dry season (Dec-April), so a 4x4 is recommended. In the rainy months between May and late-November, the river is usually uncrossable and it takes 20-25 minutes to drive to Samara (making Nosara a similar distance for shopping).
