"I've visited Westfield House Farm Shepherd's huts a number of times now. Spring, Winter, Summer - it is truly amazing to see how the surrounding Northumberland countryside changes between the seasons! The huts I have stayed in (Leveret and Curlew) are perfectly equipped (the hot chocolate and marshmallows perfect in the winter when my hut was decorated for the holidays). The guest guide is a must-read, as it makes heating up the hot-tub and using the wood stove so simple (also using a gas cooker easy for somebody that's never used one!) The huts I've stayed in have also always been provided with plenty of well-priced, good quality fuel for the fire pit, wood stove, and hot tub. The local town of Rothbury is only a short drive away, and you can usually find anything you've forgotten at home in the hardware shop or co-op, and the Turk's Head serves some good food and sometimes has a decent band playing. Bed is very comfortable, and there are plenty of charging ports throughout the hut. As stated on their website, there is no wifi, but I've never had issues with 4G signal - I've used my phone as a hotspot to use my laptop and iPad here with no issues. My only tip for this place would be to bring insect spray in the summer months (as can be expected during the summer months in the countryside). For anyone needing a bit of peace and quiet, a good look at the night sky without light pollution, a chance to breathe some clean Northumbrian air - I would highly recommend. Westfield House Farm Shepherd's Huts are a secret I wish I could keep."
