When we arrived at 4:00pm (check in at 3:00pm) we were informed the rooms were ready but they were not able to get us on the same floor. We walked to our room and discover the door wide open, linens off the beds, and clearly not ready to stay. When we spoke to the front desk person, he informed us the hotel was completely booked and no rooms were available (overheard him telling other customers the same thing later) and we would have to come back in 1.5 hours. With 7 children in tow, this was not an option. We asked to speak to a manager, and he stated there was no manager on duty. When asked for a refund, he stated the payment wouldn’t be processed for 2-3 days but would be happy to email a confirmation of the refund. After waiting nearly 20 minutes for said email, a manager miraculously appeared and informed him over half the rooms on the second floor were available and there was no need to refund. We ended up staying, but wish we had just taken the refund. The tile in the elevator was broken and haphazardly taped, causing us to trip nearly every time upon entering.
