One of the best holidays ever, we could not fault anything ,the service was impeccable , the food fabulous, and the rooms were cleaned to a very high standard daily , if you want 5 star + this is the place for you from the doorman , Martine on reception with her wealth of knowledge of the area , and places to go, to Christina our morning waitress so helpful nothing was to much , we will definitely be back , we ate at it’s sister hotel 100 yds away the Casaly Hotel the service by Alexander and his team was extremely professional, and the food locally sourced , and cooked with a Greek twist was to die for . We met the owner Spiros , who showed us around the recently opened Hotel , it has a gym , sauna , Himalayna salt room ,hydra pool , and spa facilities that Deb took advantage of and was very impressed again . Spiros expects very high standards from his staff and they do not let him down .The layout of both hotels is luxurious and a great place to chill out, as you can tell it does not get any better then this .

We spent five days at the Canale in Argostoli and the hotel room was lovely, with many amenities. The staff were wonderful, very solicitous of our needs and we felt they genuinely liked us and were interested in us. They helped us rent a car, find a piano in the town, and find a pharmacy when we needed one. We had another friend who was staying at a nearby hotel and they made him feel very welcome.

On arrival we discovered that our balcony overlooked a construction project which continued work all day every day of our stay. The noise, the fumes, the dust and the total lack of privacy made our balcony unusable. Obviously this work is beyond the control of Canale but, given the impact, we believe that in good faith they should have warned us in advance so that we could at least consider our options. The internet connectivity was so poor that we joked that the hotel was jamming it to prevent us posting a review. It dropped the connection every few minutes so we set up a 5G hotspot and ran our devices off that. Fortunately, we have unlimited mobile data roaming but not all guests will be so fortunate. My wife, whose admittedly pre-existing respiratory condition was exacerbated by the dust and fumes from the construction, asked for help in locating a doctor. You know, that “concierge service” they advertise? Well, they sent her across town on a wild goose chase to a medical centre that was not and never had been open before 6pm in the afternoon. All of the above we bore with a good grace and nary a comment. At 7:40pm one evening my wife, not feeling well enough to go out to dinner, rang to order room service (available until 8pm according to the flyer in the room). Canale, despite knowing from the previous episode that she was unwell, told her that she was too late, that the simple items requested (dips and a cheese plate) were impossible and that she should go into town if she was hungry. Bullied into submission, she resigned herself to going to bed hungry. Then I got on the phone, my fund of goodwill totally exhausted. Five phone calls and a hour later the “impossible” items were delivered. Canale appeared to think that we should be grateful for this. To us, though, it simply demonstrated the arbitrary and unnecessary nature of the initial refusal. We checked out first thing the next morning never to return whilst current management remains. Two stars. One for the excellent quality and service of the breakfasts and one for extraordinary cleanliness of the room.

Very attentive and helpful staff at a beautiful chic hotel. You couldn't expect a better service from any of the most expensive 5 star hotels in the world. The rooms were spotlessly clean and everything was to the highest standard possible.

We have travelled to lovely resorts. This hotel has the design and sophistication of the best hotels. But what makes it so wonderful and memorable is the staff and the level of service they provide. Nothing is too much for the staff restaurant recommendations, planning your excursions, car rental and your personnel comfort We would love to thank all the staff. A special mention for Alexandra and Evo Will be back.

We read the reviews for this hotel and were amazed by the first class reviews it received. This hotel deserves them all and more. The attention to detail is fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. They are all charming and helpful and knowledgeable people who made this stay truly memorable. The breakfasts were amazing. These absolute feasts of sweet and savoury treats. Eve's mum makes all the sweet cakes and treats everyday. Thank you to Martine for organising everything. Thanks to Kostas for his chat and evening company. Spiro's and Alexandra for your calm guidance. Their knowledge is second to none. Their restaurant recommendations were all fabulous. The hotel have an arrangement with a Beach club 5 mins drive away which was lovely and a nice feature. The rooms were spotless with a change of bed linen and towels daily. This was truly a fabulous stay. Small but perfectly formed, run and presented. Thank you

My husband and I had the best time staying at this hotel, the staff are super friendly and can't do enough for you, they really do go above and beyond to help in any way they can. Also go with the restaurant recommendation they suggest you won't be disappointed.

Visited this hotel at the end of season and it was incredible. Never seen a hotel that has only ever received 5 star reviews before so they had a lot to live up prior to our arrival and they did. From the moment you arrive you feel you have come somewhere very special. I don't normally feel the need to leave a review but after our stay we felt that the level of service we received deserved to be recognised. I'll start with the staff, absolutely astounding, a level of service you could not surpass. From the initial greeting at the entrance by the immaculately turnout staff, your bags disappear and arrive at your room while you check in. Check in process is smooth, a delicious welcome cocktail and bottles of cold water are delivered to your room. The room was spotless clean, super modern with top of the range fittings. Superb power shower with expensive toiletries on hand. Well stacked mini bar (extra cost) and safe. Someone has spent time and money designing the rooms. On your balcony is your personal hot tub WOW !! Had breakfast by the pool on the first day and it did not disappoint a veritable feast, a table full of sweet and savoury treats, tea/coffee/water orange juice all brought to your table. On top of that there's a hot choice as well which is all cooked to order. We spent some time after breakfast with a member of staff who was incredibly knowledgeable about the island and gave us some great ideas. We mentioned car hire and they found us an incredible deal for 4 days of car hire. The hotel have a deal with Costa Costa beach as part of your visit and they book you front row sun bed at this beach at no cost to you, more great service. The staff were incredibly attentive to all your needs, my wife is recovering from recent knee replacement and after an initial request for ice on the first day to help with the pain and swelling, we were greeted on our return each time with ice if needed. Staff are incredibly professional yet we felt almost a part of the Canale family, they take time to get to know you and your needs. A personal thank you for all the staff and we hope one day to return.

Having recently returned from a 3 night stay in Kefalonia, we were adamant that we would not forget to leave a review for the team at Canale Hotel and Suites, as it is the very least they deserve. The Hotel is exquisite, immaculately presented, with a level of service that goes way and beyond. From the welcome drinks on arrival, to the gift given on departure, everything is done to make your stay extra special. The superb breakfast is one that will live long in the memory, and I cannot express just how much we enjoyed our time there. Everyone associated with the Hotel should be immensely proud, and we give our thanks to them for making our stay one to remember.
