Fish Camp at Waterdance is a unique property located on the river in Cullowhee North Carolina. The ultimate nature experience and a bonus if fly fishing for trout is your favorite pastime....you'll have the river all to yourself! Disclaimer - we cannot, for obvious reasons, guarantee that you'll catch any trout. You are more than welcome to bring your furry friend upon approval and there is a $150.00 non refundable pet fee per pet (maximum 2 pets). NOTE - Recent improvements: The cabin has heat and air-conditioning. There is a new mattress in the master bedroom and the cabin now has high speed, reliable internet via Starlink. There is a full size washer and dryer. This 2 story, 2 bedroom, 2 bath log cabin has a rustic feel yet is extremely well appointed and meticulously presented - It is still an authentic log cabin and is not airtight, which may result in a visit from a field mouse and such. We do have pest control however that is not 100% a preventative. The main floor includes the living room which has a large wood burning fireplace as well as satellite TV and a DVD player with an extensive DVD library for your enjoyment. We have some board games for rainy days. There is a covered porch off the living room that overlooks the river.The dining area has a lovely wooden table that seats 6 and is located off the living room and just outside the kitchen. There are 3 bedroom en-suites (2 queen, 1 king/master). Each floor has a bedroom/full bath for ultimate privacy when needed! Great for 3 couples, a family w/several kids, or extended family. We have a queen sleeper sofa in lower level den. Sleeps 8 total: 6 bed spaces, 2 sleeper sofa spaces.A few “must knows”:- We do NOT allow pets. No exceptions. Violations entail a fine & eviction. - We are a NON smoking residence (in house or on porches). No smoking litter on house grounds. This keeps our home clean and enjoyable for all guests! - We have: central A/C & heat- not needed often (3600’ elevation). We mostly use the plentiful windows, to enjoy cool, fresh mountain air, in addition to a whole house fan in upper level loft & bedroom ceiling fans. There is a window fan in master. Summers are generally temperate- we are a shaded mountain property. - We provide linens, “start of stay” paper products and many kitchen expendables. Both are paved, significant inclines that are easily accessed by 2WD vehicles in normal seasonal weather, but in snow/ice FWD, AWD or 4WD vehicles are optimal. Otherwise, plan to use ice melt on drives. This beautiful, Craftsman style home, was well built, with detail and care, to embrace the setting. There are many windows and plentiful, aesthetic porch space to optimize time spent outdoors. All in excellent condition, well cared for.
