The camp is perched on a hill surrounded by tall trees with the glistening lake below. Access the shore by walking a meandering down-hill path through the woods right to the lake with your own private dock. Enjoy a day of swimming, lunch picnics, fishing or even an afternoon nap while listening to the loons. If you’d like to explore beautiful Great Pond by water you may rent kayaks or launch your own boat at the public boat launch and ride it to our private mooring. Ask us for details, and reserve early. Newly expanded trails are easy to navigate and newly expanded dock with pulley mooring for your boat in a secluded area with picnic table and seating area shaded by cedars. Property shares 225’ of shore with another property, but trails and shore areas are clearly marked and separate by almost 200’. New wide trail for portage of canoes and kayaks makes loading and unloading much easier. Inside the bright modern camp, find a fully equipped kitchen, and a living room with 3 sliding glass doors that open to an expansive deck equipped with a gas grill -- perfect for enjoying dinner and drinks outdoors or just a place for relaxing under the sun or star gazing at night. Easy to operate heating and cooling system brings comfort to those chilly mornings or hot mid-summer nights. The camp has 3 bedrooms and one sleeper sofa - perfect for 6 guests but could accommodate 8. Downstairs you’ll find a bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom with a standup shower and a queen pull-out sofa in the living room. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms – one with 2 twin beds (with storage drawers) and the other with a queen bed along with a bathroom with a full bath. A close drive from camp, find the quaint village of Belgrade Lakes that will take you back in time with its old fashioned general store and ice-cream shops. Also, nearby, find, hiking trails, Winterberry Farm (great homemade pies and chutneys and jams) and Belgrade Country Club for golf lovers. In nearby Waterville (30-minute drive) find shops, restaurants and Colby College with its beautiful Museum of Art (free to the public); a perfect excursion for a rainy day. The cabin was recently updated and has a cozy UPTA CAMP Maine vibe, but with a lot of modern conveniences like a work space, smart TVs, smart speakers and automatic lighting. Need to bring Grandma? There's a first floor bedroom and a ramp to the door. Wake up in a king bed facing the lake and watch the sun rise or meditate in the hanging hammock chairs. The bunk room can sleep a lot of kiddos, making this the perfect type of house to share with another family. The she shed has a combination exercise/meditation area with equipment and a fully appointed desk ready for remote work. Electric car? We have a Tesla charger!We have lots of bed options to make different mixes of families work but given that we are on a small holding tank, we do not want reservations using all the beds. We want to limit adult guests to 4 (6 with no children) and prefer children not exceed 6 with their adults. Please message us for exceptions to this. We listen to our renters and have made upgrades and fixes based on their recommendations, including blackout shades, fixing the water pump and related electric (we've been here two weeks Aug 2022 with 4-6 people and no issues, turns out there was a small leak not visible), some new deck boards, and a new queen mattress downstairs will be in place for 2023. The lake bottom is a combination of sand and rocks, great for swimming, no weeds or moss. We replaced the living room furniture in 2022. There are also new mattresses on all the upstairs bedrooms to ensure a good night sleep.Easy drive to Belgrade village, Oakland, Waterville, Augusta for dining, shopping and entertainment.Boat mooring and dock are provided. Come visit the beautiful Belgrade Lakes area and stay in this big new 5 bedroom 2 bath camp. The home underwent substantial upgrades in 2024. Both bathrooms were completely redone and walls have been refinished in v-match pine. There's a washer/dryer and a heat pump for a/c. There are new beds and stylishly furnished rooms, as can be seen in the pictures. The large modern kitchen is fully stocked. There is one small bedroom upstairs where the walls are not yet finished, like the camps of yesteryear. The bedroom on the main floor also has exposed 2x4s and is the only one without light switches but there are lamps. We ask that guests bring their own sheets and towels, but for those coming from far away, or would just prefer it, we provide sheets and towels for the stay for a fee. This cottage has some higher-end finishes and modern conveniences such as new central air conditioning in the main area, a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and 2 full modern bathrooms. It is furnished stylishly in certain rooms, but also comfortably. There is a deck with gas BBQ grill. The home is situated as close to the water as new rules will allow, 100 ft from the lake, surrounded mostly by trees with peeks of the water. The private waterfront area which is exclusive to guests consists of a swimming area and dock extending out over the water. There is also an offshore boat mooring for your boat. The main level offers a modern open floor plan with living room, dining room, and kitchen all in one space. The main level also has two french doors opening to a deck overlooking the lake, providing a perfect to spot to BBQ, relax, read a book, or just enjoy the wonderful natural setting. There is a bedroom with a queen size bed located on the main level and the first floor bathroom is also located on the main level. The bedroom and bathroom on the first level can be closed to the kitchen, like a suite.Up the stairs there are four bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds. One bedroom has 2 single beds. There is a bathroom with shower and tub on the second floor. The laundry are is also on the second floor. Tons of Fun at the Waterfront From this very popular location on the Eastern side of Pinkham's Cove, you can boat all over Great Pond, ride your boat in to Belgrade Lakes village, and enjoy picture-perfect sunsets. The Belgrade Lakes area is known best as the inspiration for the story and film On Golden Pond. The lakes in the area (7 beautiful interconnected lakes) offer great boating, fishing, water skiing and of course swimming.Enjoy the day at the lake or going through the countryside shopping for treasures and antiquing. If you prefer a game of golf, the highly acclaimed Belgrade Lakes Golf Course is located just minutes away. A day trip to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Boothbay Harbor, Freeport, Rockland, or Camden lets you enjoy more of what the great State of Maine has to offer and are all easily accessible from Belgrade.Bring your boat or rent one and spend the day on any one of the seven incredible and beautiful lakes in the area.
