Leider sind 2 Tagen von meinem gebuchten Aufenthalt verfallen, da die Flüge von Coron nach El Nido gestrichen wurden, aufgrund des Taifunes. Als ich im Hotel dann verspätet ankam wurde mir zwar für die 2 verfallenen Tage nichts erstattet(was ich verstehen kann, auch wenn es ärgerlich ist), dennoch wurde mir ein kostenloses Upgrade in die beste Kategorie angeboten. Das war zumindest für mich ein kleiner Trost. Allgemein ist das Personal herausragend freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Lage sehr gut.

This place is truly a little corner of paradise. It’s almost impossible to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay and how special this place is. The owners — an Englishman and a Filipina — are the perfect mix of warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail. They genuinely go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and are happy to accommodate almost any request, always in such a natural and unobtrusive way. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The air conditioning is quiet, the mattresses and pillows are incredibly comfortable, and everything you might need is provided — right down to shower gel and a toothbrush. The hotel is still relatively new and everything is in excellent condition. There are free SUP boards for guests, and you can also rent a scooter from the hotel if you feel like exploring El Nido for the day. And then there’s the food… that deserves a review of its own! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were fantastic. You can order fresh seafood, or even buy it yourself and have the team prepare it for you. My husband loves grilling, so we arranged to get some meat and had our own little BBQ evening. One of the staff members was genuinely excited to help and learn how it’s done — such a small moment, but incredibly warm and touching. My husband also wanted to go fishing, and the local fishermen were happy to take him along. Unfortunately, we simply didn’t have enough time during our stay, but knowing that such experiences were so easily arranged made the place feel even more special. That’s the beauty of a small boutique hotel like this. Unlike huge resorts, they can actually respond to the individual wishes of their guests and make you feel personally cared for. At the same time, there is absolutely no pressure to socialize. Everything is beautifully balanced: if you want to chat, there’s always someone happy to talk to; if you want privacy, you’ll have complete peace and seclusion. It truly feels like your own little paradise. If we ever return to El Nido, we will absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the wonderful owners and the whole team for such a memorable stay. 인생에서 처음으로 호스텔(도미토리)에 묵었습니다. 결론부터 묵고 좋았습니다!스탭의 여러분 매우 친절, 아침 식사는 무료로 팬케이크와 오믈렛이 최고로 맛있습니다. 퓨스 밖에 먹지 않습니다만, 라이스, 고기계이거나 빵도 3종류와 필리핀 후드가 있습니다.룸메이트의 사람들도 도미토리 익숙해져 있는 사람들로 안심했습니다. 룸키의 접촉이 나빠서 몇번이나 경비씨에게 도움 받았습니다.거기만이 수고였습니다. 어렵다고 생각합니다.어메니티는 샤워실에 샴푸와 바디 비누 있어, 세면대에 손세탁 비누 있어, 드라이어는 없기 때문에 가져오는 것이 마스트. 또 엘니도 갈 기회가 있으면 반복시켜 주셨으면 좋겠다고 생각했습니다.

우리는 이 숨겨진 빌라에서 하룻밤을 머물렀고 집에서 멀리 떨어진 진정한 집처럼 느껴졌습니다. 직원들은 믿을 수 없을 정도로 친절하고 정중했으며 우리의 체류를 편안하고 즐겁게 만든 훌륭한 서비스를 제공했습니다. 음식은 하이라이트였습니다. 아침에 제공되는 건강한 아침 식사와 함께 절대적으로 맛있었습니다. 경험에 특별한 터치를 더한 떠 다니는 아침 식사를 요청할 수도 있습니다. 빌라는 짧은 자갈길 아래에 자리 잡고 있지만 평화롭고 사적인 환경은 노력할 가치가 있습니다. 빌라는 어린이 친화적이지만 타일 수영장 주변은 가족에게 조심해야합니다. We spent 5 nights at this lovely resort and overall had a really enjoyable stay. The location and service were excellent, and the breakfast spread was great too. There is also a complimentary shuttle bus to the town centre, with pick-up details available at the front desk, which was very convenient. The resort is perfectly nestled near many amenities such as restaurants, cafés, bars, spas, minimarts, a clinic, and of course the beautiful Lio Beach. We stayed in a sea-facing room, which unfortunately meant the room became sandy very quickly. Despite repeated mopping and housekeeping, the sand somehow still found its way everywhere — even onto the mattress and blankets. You could actually feel the sand while sleeping at times. One of us also fell sick on the third night and needed to see a doctor, although that may simply have been seasonal and unrelated to the resort. We still tried our best to keep the room clean and comfortable throughout the stay. As for the occasional blackouts, guests should be prepared for a sudden loud “boom” followed by complete silence before the electricity comes back on shortly after. Power usually returned very quickly, but it could be a little startling for light sleepers. When it rained, there were not many indoor entertainment options available. The resort only had a small selection of board games such as congkak, Jenga, and chess. That said, I truly want to compliment all the staff at Huni Lio. Every single staff member we encountered was patient, caring, warm, and genuinely helpful. Their smiles and hospitality really made a difference throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the island hopping activities. Just note that they mainly use the traditional bangka boats rather than speedboats, so the journey is slower-paced compared to private speedboat tours. Overall, Huni Lio provided a wonderful stay thanks to its excellent service, friendly staff, and ideal location.

7/10 – Beautiful, modern villa, but disappointing service and a few practical issues We stayed for three nights in Villa 3, the ground-floor villa with a private pool. Our first impression was excellent. Everything was modern, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The villa smelled lovely, the minibar was well stocked, and even small details, like the outdoor shower for rinsing sand off your feet, were appreciated. The private terrace with its pool and outdoor kitchen was lovely, but there were several drawbacks. First, the insects. There were A LOT of biting insects in the outdoor area, not just mosquitoes. Despite using repellents, the provided citronella spray, and the ceiling fan, we still got badly bitten. It would be helpful if the property could recommend or provide something more effective against the local insects. The pool was also quite cold, as the terrace receives very little direct sunlight. We even had a cute little frog living in the pool filter! We informed the staff, but nothing was done. Personally, we found him adorable, so if you're staying in Villa 3 and he's still there, please say hello from us! The outdoor kitchen includes a BBQ area, but charcoal isn't provided. We were told to buy it ourselves, yet couldn't find any at the recommended supermarket. Having a BBQ area that guests can't easily use seems a little impractical. Housekeeping was another issue. We didn't need full cleaning, just fresh towels and drinking water. The water was replenished and bath towels were changed, but our requests to replace the pool towels were ignored twice. However, the most disappointing experience involved a dog living near the villas. She was a very sweet, partially blind mother dog whose puppies occasionally came around. I fed her throughout our stay and became quite attached to her. Before leaving, I gave the staff some food and a small tip, asking them to feed her and send me a photo. They agreed. Unfortunately, over the following days, I received excuses about rain and the dog being absent, despite her having been around almost constantly during our stay. Eventually, I received a photo showing only the dog's backside, with no indication that she had actually been fed. I cannot say whether they fulfilled my request, but the way it was handled was genuinely disappointing. It was a small, personal request that they had voluntarily agreed to, and I expected better communication and follow-through. It left me questioning how genuine the hospitality was once we'd checked out. On the positive side, the staff were friendly in person and helped us arrange a motorbike rental. Laundry service was also convenient. There are a few restaurants along the nearby beach for breakfast and dinner, with more options in town. However, the beach itself isn't really suitable for swimming – it's shallow, rocky, and covered in seaweed. You'll need to travel to other beaches or use the villa's pool. Overall, 7/10. The villa itself is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, but the insect problem, overlooked requests, and especially the disappointing experience after checkout affected our impression. With more thoughtful attention to guests' needs and better follow-through on promises, this could be a much better experience.

From the moment we left the port, our Matinloc experience already felt special. The boat ride was smooth, and the boatmen immediately assisted us with our luggage. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Jam from FO/Reservations, who gave us a friendly tour and clear briefing. Even before the trip, Reservations Manager Ms. Jeannette had already been very responsive to my emails, making the planning stress-free. Our VIP villa, perched on a cliff, offered an astounding view that raised the standard of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the generous souvenirs and hygiene kits provided. The staff were consistently attentive and polite special thanks to FO Supervisor Ms. Jhona and their Korean General Manager for adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highlights of our stay included the refreshing fresh fruit shakes, fun water activities, the amazing walking path lined with century-old trees, and of course, the delicious food (their pizza was a standout). The WiFi was surprisingly fast..even powered by Starlink at the port. We also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of staff recommending where to get beers in town since they don’t sell alcohol on-site. Matinloc truly combines paradise-like views with genuine hospitality. Maraming salamat to the whole team for making this my best El Nido stay so far.. I would gladly return a hundred times over.

가격 대비 품질이 정말 형편없었습니다. 저희는 이 방에서 5박을 묵었는데, 그동안 청소는 한 번도 안 되었고 쓰레기도 버리지 않았습니다. 게다가 직원 휴게실 맞은편에 있는 2호실에 묵었는데, 저희 발코니에 있던 의자를 계속 가져가더니 다시 가져오지 않아서 저희가 직접 수거해야 했습니다. 인터넷은 발코니에서만 사용할 수 있었고, 방에서는 사용할 수 없었으며, 모바일 인터넷조차 거의 없었습니다. 에어컨 날개는 부러져서 테이프로 고정되어 있었습니다. 모든 배관은 수리가 불가능했습니다. 객실 설명에 나와 있던 헤어드라이어는 방에 없었습니다. 그나마 다행인 점은 온수기가 작동한다는 것입니다. 콘센트가 저희한테 맞지 않아서 어댑터를 사줬습니다. 아침 식사 때는 추가 요금 없이 조금 더 많은 양을 달라고 할 수 있었습니다 (계란 오믈렛이 하나 있었는데, 두 개를 달라고 했더니 흔쾌히 응해주었습니다). 직원들은 매우 친절했고 체크인 전에 리셉션에 짐을 맡겨두고 자유롭게 탐험할 수 있도록 해주었습니다. 호텔에서 투어 상품을 구매했는데, 훌륭한 스노클링 마스크도 제공해 주었습니다. 호텔 위치가 특히 좋았습니다. 금고도 있었거든요!

호텔 위치는 전반적으로 좋습니다. 근처에 상점과 슈퍼마켓이 있고, 레스토랑은 500~600미터 거리에 있습니다. 자전거 대여도 가능합니다. 객실은 깨끗하고 필요한 모든 것이 갖춰져 있습니다. 모든 객실이 거리 쪽으로 나 있는 것은 아닙니다. 저희 방은 다용도실로 통하는 창문이 있었지만, 하룻밤만 묵었기 때문에 크게 문제될 것 같지는 않습니다. 하지만 조식은 큰 문제입니다! 7시 30분에 도착하면 아무것도 준비되어 있지 않습니다! 직원에게 추가로 만들어 달라고 부탁해야 합니다. 조식은 아름다운 바다 전망을 감상할 수 있는 테라스에서 제공됩니다.
