'A good 1 night stop on our long journey from queenstown to the glaciers and Punakaiki. The room was basic but met our needs with microwave, kettle etc, plenty of hot water and a warm bed (it was very cold in Haast at the time). The staff were very friendly and informative of the area. On the managers suggestion we drove to the nearby haast beach to watch the sunset. A well worth it local excursion.'
